The favorite feature on this site is very limited in number and features. I like to categorize my favorites and would like to give a little spiel as to why I feel that way about each on. This list will be ongoing and changing.


The following two will always have a special place in my heart even as I move on and favour new series.

Neon Genesis Evangelion
The first ever series anime I ever watched having grown up with Drangonball Z and pokemon. I was sick for a few days back in highschool and my father brang the first couple of dvds home from the video shop. I watched them and was hooked from then on

Maburaho
Sortly after the above incident I was back to the video shop looking for more. This was my first rom-com/harem series ever. It got me introduced and hooked onto the genre


Ecchi

Highschool of the dead
I thought that the plot, the artwork, the action, the ecchi-ness, comedy, everything was so well done in this series


Harem

Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
Strong lead, interesting setting, action, mecha it has all the right elements to make it an enjoyable series for me to watch

Ladies vs Butlers!
For me a good example of what a typical harem show should be like and tsundere characters <3


Romance

Amagami SS & plus
Really, really good approach to how a romance anime could be. Separate arcs fr each heroine and some interesting characters

Looking up at the half-moon
Its been a long time since Ive watched this so I cant exactly remember what I liked about it. Perhaps it was the plot and how the drama executed


Rom-com

Seto no Hanayome
The comedy in this series was excellently done

Mitsudomoe S1&2
Same as above

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
Same as above. Second season still had its share of jokes and was definitely worth watching but I think the first season was the best.


Slice of life

Working!!
Really well done. It was a series that was always good for a pick me up


Movie

Howls moving castle
I like most Ghibli films and at one point owned all that had been released it that point but this one is my favorite Ghibli film and the one I have re-watched the most. Next up would be Princess Mononoke followed by Nausca

Summerwars
Just recently watched this one. Good story, good art and family friendly


Ill give heroman a special mention because I cant think of how to categorize it. It was interesting to see Stan Lee's take on anime. Americans, doing American things but in an anime style. Story was decent, as well as the action and it has one of the best date scenes to date imo
