| Yep, judge characters based on just the first episode. But, yeah, Yawara's grand dad certainly doesn't give off the most favorable first impression. Really, it was a decent first episode. It's kind of strange for something that was created by Urasawa to be so...cheery? |

| lol how did urasawa make this of all people It was enjoyable, animation was easy on the eyes but i imagine it will decline seeing as this i s along series, got a few laughs, this will be a good thing to watch on the side like im planning to |

| What the?! Jigorô is "lovely and cute", he's the greatest character (at least in this series). How can he be judged so vehement... oh wait, it's the internet. Of course. I'm amazed by how pretty this TV show looks (will it last for 124eps?). The strong reinforcement of the comedic aspect (more "cartoonish" than the manga) isn't particularly welcomed though... 3/5 (A bit less enjoyable than the manga for now) Hearing DBZ "Videl" as Yawara will take some getting used to. New among my favourite eyecatches:  (This sounds like a series I would love.) |
| So this anime came to my attention because one of the pics was used as an image in a city pop playlist I was listening to, and here I am lol. Just based off this episode, I have a feeling this will be an enjoyable watch. Yawara is a likable protagonist, her grandpa is funny, the humour is a bit slapstick, but enjoyable. Golly, those reporters got their arses beat! š |
