| I'm watching this after Mobile Suit Gundam. How can I watch anything without Char as the antihero so soon? The art and animation has vastly improved. o_o yikes. This series is going to be so good. I'll miss Char's classy Halloween costume, but I'm liking the shades. :s I think I prefer Kamille to Amuro so far. Then again, anybody could best that whiny emo kid. I was shocked when I saw that he was 15 years old. I seriously thought he was 12. Amuro deserves the girly name much more than Kamille. This guy's hard-core. There's no way that cameo wasn't Bright unless he has an identical twin. |

| Alright, back to watching another Gundam. Interesting first episode and the animation is really good. As usual the first episode of every Gundam seems to be confusing, but after another ep or two, everything is clear. Nice to see Char again, I'm looking forward to seeing Amuro as well. And that Kamille kid sure is sensitive about his name. |
| This is my second Gundam series after finishing 00 a few days ago. It's a big jump from HD to this 80s stuff but it looks great and reminds me of the very good days from Saint Seiya, Speed Racer and others. Kamille seems cool though I don't understand yet what the hell is he running away from. And that MkII over there will surely cause trouble. |
| And we have our first slap after 3 minutes of first episode! That was fast. So, there is Camille running around and there is attack on colony. Camille is punching people like a boss. I am coming here after watching MSG. Should I have watched something in between this and original MSG? |

| Good start to a sequel series. Seems that everyone's out to hit Kamille, and for good reason. Also, I see Bright Noa making a cameo appearance. Hope to see more of the former White Base crew soon on the Argama. Oh, and like many others who pointed that fact out, I see they stepped up on the animation quality. Not bad for 1985. |

| I'm surprised by how many people like Kamille over Amuro. So far I find Kamille to a lot worse, getting so butthurt about his name. I think he's pretty immature. Love the slap 3 minutes in. And Char's pretty cool though he acts like Lalah contacts him randomly. lol |
| So, here am I after watched the original, the OVAs between 0079 and before Zeta, 08th MS Team, 0080, and 0083 (MS IGLOO later). It's 3 minutes after the series started and we already got a slap. I'm loving this already. But seriously though, I don't know what Kamille is thinking. Picking fights left and right, and people liking him more than Amuro? I'd say he has the same case like Shinn's impulse. |
| Yeah, I'm coming straight from original MSG too, and the animation is like eye candy. Especially the OP. I'm liking this start a LOT. All kinds of cool stuff happening and the MC isn't a wimp like Amuro. Nice change of pace. 8/10 right now, I wonder if it can keep the suspense. |

| Amazing episode!! Been dying to watch this ever since Lol i'm the same as everyone! I just finished this 5 days ago and now i'm starting with Zeta Gundam :) It's awesome to start a series knowing Char survive the One Year War!!! Sexy and Stylish as hell!! Lol Kamille is very different than Amruo. Definitely more aggressive than him. And the opening how he drives and even bites his finger is very Amuro like though XD And the girl telling him that it's bad manners feels like it's Frau all over again! Seems everyone here is much more aware what a Newtype is. The way Char infiltrated the base reminds me of the very same scene when he infiltrated White Base! He even dodge the lasers and he knew they couldn't hit him like he said from the 079 series. Music is groovy and amazing!! It can be dark at times and very upbeat the next scene. I do love Kamille not giving a shit and would punch anyone, government official or not! Also the PV of the next episodes isn't spoilery anymore!! Now i can watch them unlike the first series where they tell who dies before it even happened!! Can't wait to see how this unfolds!!! Finally some Zeta Gundam action!! |

| Not liking Kamille so that from what has been shown. The girl he was with seems pretty annoying too. Seems "Kamille" is the only word in her vocabulary. Pretty big upgrade form the animation/art standpoint. I'm guessing that Kamille is a newtype since he sensed when the colony was getting invaded? |

| I'm also coming straight from MSG. The new opening is great. I was really happy to see all of the old crew members from the White Base in it. I love all of the changes production-wise. The art is much more detailed and although the animation was rough near the beginning (particularly that running scene with Kamille and the girl), it improved dramatically afterwards. Even the OST seems better. I particularly enjoyed the old-school techno soundtrack that was playing when Char escaped from the colony. Speaking of whom, Char's still great. I don't know what he's been up to recently, but I think it's pretty safe to guess he's with this AEUG organization. It looks like he'll have a prominent role in this series too, which is definitely a good thing. I wonder if we'll be following him or Kamille more closely. I don't know why I'm thinking that; I just get the feeling Char might be more important this time around. As for Kamille, he's proved me wrong: I didn't think it could get much worse than how Amuro was starting out. He's a jerk and has way too short of a fuse. Why was he going to the spaceport in the first place, anyway? Oh, and I think the show was hinting pretty strongly that he's a newtype. Gotta love that slap at the beginning of the episode. I definitely caught the Bright cameo too. All-in-all it was an excellent start. |

| Meh, I didn't care much for the music in the new OP or ED, I vastly prefer the original show's OP & ED to these ones. However, the score during the episode itself was incredible. I'm not really sure how I feel about these characters yet... they seem pretty similar to certain members of the original cast thus far. I really love the setting here, though... this world that they're building seems slightly more fleshed out than the one in the original Gundam, even after only one episode. I'll be curious to see where they go with it. |

| I'm coming too from MSG, the animation and the art are way better, that's really good, char is the best as always and this new main character Kamille seems to be amuro over 9000, everything that he did in this episode made no sense at all. |
| Kamille is pretty hot-headed,reckless and stupid (even Amuro wasn't this stupid in the original) almost everything he did this episode made no sense. Also stand said: It wouldn't be Gundam if it didn't have a slap in the first 3 minutes of the first episode...bless the skies! |
| Seeing as I did a series of comments on Mobile Suit Gundam, it only seems fitting if I do the same here :) So there was a bitchslap in the first three minutes of the first episode. I'm going to start a fucking counter for this show XD This episode had me jumping up and down twice. The chase scene with Char was really awesome, and the scene with Kamille escaping jail was also incredibly exciting. I don't have any context to like this kid on yet, but at least I know this won't be a boring ride if he just keeps punching everyone he doesn't like. Possibly the best part of the episode was seeing Bright in the background near the end. It was just a fun surprise that I almost missed :p Bitchslap counter: 1 |

| The thing I just saw felt great: opening, (chara)designs, music, new geopolitical background (even if I was introduced to it at the end of 0083), Bright. The Titans seems to be what I supposed it would be: an instrument of terror against the colonies. Glad to see it triggered a natural answer with this AEUG group except if it is only a bunch of terrorists. If not then great because it means Casval has chosen to follow a softer path for the spacenoids liberty rather than this newtype-only revolution he was talking about before. It seems GMs have been replaced with some mass-produced Gundam and I wonder what is this MS model the AEUG uses. All the nods to 0079 were very welcomed (sneak-in, ...) , and the immediate Newtype mentions means they will expand this idea too (I wondered if Char was a NT, I know now!). BUT! 1) Camille (is Kamille the official romanization?): this boy is absolutely execrable! - he has a terrible complex around his name, - he is way too angry (but this will probably be explained later, so OK) - he has more than a simple teenager problem with authority - does he know what he is doing, and more importantly why?? Because I had not the slightest idea of what was going with him. He's like a Char^1000. He would get very well along him who could never make his mind very long. But since he is kind of a Bright fan, I can give him time. 2) his "friend": it is Fraw all over again, even more nerving. Fraw did evolve in a good way, but if this girl gets the same change she will still be a useless repetition. 3) ... can I pick Camille again? Seriously he better changes through the events. (I know Tomino and Yasuhiko are always saying Amuro never really developed through the original series, but I think he did.) 3/5 but promising. I really wonder how Camille can be more appreciated than Amuro, I hope I will discover the reasons in the series. But in the same time, I never had a problem with Amuro (except when he went mad after Fraw Bow just as a pressure lowering method) and find him a very good character. And how is Char this popular? I like him too but his "changes of mood" were very very annoying in 0079. Oooh yes, yes he did. For the audience, for popularity, for success !! Or at least that might have been´Tomino's thought. Do you remember when Bright slapped Amuro? "You hit me twice. Not even my father has ever hitten me !" Well, this moment is INCREDIBLY famous (there are shirts of it !), it got a massive response. There were a few later punches/slaps in 79 too. But probably in reaction to the big hit this legendary slap became, Zeta will feature slapS. And by that, I mean this will be a preponderant feature of Zeta: characters will often get "corrected", to a point where I wondered if the show wasn't actually making absurd fun of the thing (even characters talk about it if I remember well !). About Camille, let's just say for now he's an angry kid with reasons. About the Titans and the overall context, yiu'll get some informations. But isn't it great to have a director that doesn't take young peoples for idiots and spoonfeed his world or characters thoughts to them? May 23, 2020 @St0rmblade Lalah is still roaming as she wants, as a "free spirit" connected to her "lovers", beyond the metaphorical haunting. This is slightly evoked here and there. (not sure if you've read the bonus chapters of The Origin, but they're a nice epilogue addition and a fine transition to the heroes wherebaouts in Zeta) What do you have against Bright? He's a young veteran and Kamille, a military student. Not so surprising, I thought. About Fa... well, she'll get a "role" beyond being a confort zone. Have a good time ! (better than mine, I hope) |

| He started the trend with UC anime series Mobile Suit Gundam, I could not continue the journey and start the series of Z Gundam. Since I do not find this anime in my language, I'm forced to see it with English subtitles. So, I do not understand the dialogues, and I did not understand the actions of Kamille. However in just minutes, we have seen all or almost. Quality better than 0079 drawings, sound to be evaluated. But now before continuing with the vision, I step back and look at also the series of OVA titled Gundam 0083, just for completeness. |

| I have no clue as to how Kamille is even alive at this point. The amount of stupid he displayed is at the point where I would expect he would either be dead or in prison. It's true he has a girly name, but that is no excuse to just run across a room to punch someone, especially if that person is part of a powerful military organization. He then lucks out and gets off without any punishment, and then he just goes and attacks the guy who let him go because he said spacenoid. | Finished MSG 0079 today and took a little break from studying to watch the first episode. First thing that stuck out to me was.. the production! Wow, it felt like I was watching a movie. You can tell there was a lot of money invested into the show. Great music, great animation. Pretty solid so far. |
