| Oh I knew it, I just knew they'd all end up in the same school and this would become a school comedy. Still there were surprises... Luca is way more perveted than I thought and Sheryl is Kamina... yet the main issue I guess is who the hell is that guy at the park with Ranka anyway? |

| Oh! not everyone going to same school staff again. And there i was hoping Macross wouldn't have such staff. As someone said above the only show that did such staff successfully was Full Metal Panic. | Guess I'm by myself, but I like the go-getters...relying on others and not taking things into your own hands...just not my thing, sorry Ranka....cuteness isn't everything. Only problem I have is that there's a line you just never cross with mecha, and this one definitely crosses it by trying to make it into a school comedy..... |

| This episode was so bad it was hilarious. I hope it's not the only one that reaches this level of quality, because I hadn't laughed this hard in a while. The carrot song, oh my. I'm going to look it up on youtube to see if it has the 10 million views it deserves. |

| Ranka is sure hardworking, isn't she? College, Nyan Nyan restaurant, and now singing as a carrot... This episode was a bit silly but still fun. I wonder what does Leon have against Ranka...and whether that little green thingy is a kid Vajra of sorts |
 That was a whole lot of Macross Zero in that opening monologue. Also, watching Ranka working from the ground up trying to sell vegetables is hilarious and sad at the same time. I'm surprised Macross Frontier is taking the idol production route of having Ranka do odd jobs in addition to trying to land a live performance. It's even more interesting how the show is really pushing the conflict between Sheryl and Ranka, but it's pretty one-sided. Sheryl already has the fame, maturity, confidence, and talent to get anything she wants. However, that's still not enough. Two things that Ranka values, her relationship with Alto and her growing career as a singer, are constantly threatened to be taken away by Sheryl's very existence, and it's interesting seeing this portrayed through the plot, through character interactions (Sheryl gesturing to offer Ranka opportunities in a show of influence), and through visuals, such as Sheryl's pictures being everywhere in town, dominating scenes with Ranka feeling oppressed. Also, high school hijinks, a love triangle, panty hunting, good sprinkling of visual gags. Macross is finally an anime. |
