Music. Don't bend the plot. Nice dash. Everyone in this anime perfectly.
The fourth episode from my point of view, more widely opened the image Noir than the previous two.

I noticed how they don't refer to each other by name often..but I'd like to think Yumura has somewhat of a conscience. She seemed hesitant when killing the president.

Good ep regardless though.

Four episodes in and Noir is somehow making assassination seem as boring as hell. This show needs either an arc episode or a shot of adrenaline.

Aw I feel bad for the girl. Specially, to find her dad dead on her birthday. :(

it was a good episode. Sucks for the girl though. They should have waited until she left.

Great episode, but yeah Kirika and Mireille made it look too easy. He's a freaking president of a coup d'etat yet he only has two body guards inside his building!?!?!

Yeah feel sorry for the girl. Just as when she's about to spend time with his father, he gets killed. Well it's his fault anyways since he was doing shady business for many years now. Was hoping they would expand his story and not just another one of Noir's targets/

Can't wait for the next episode though!!

Just a friendly reminder that the targets aren't evil, corrupt, baddie bad guys. The ending with Rosalie and Kirika was heart wrenching, with every target comes victims that will lose their loved ones. It's hard to discern what Kirika could be thinking, but I think this one weighed on her somewhat considering she was looking into Rosalie prior to the hit. I also really liked the scene where Mireille comments on the sea and Kirika recalls her fight near the sea, presumably her earliest memory of the sound of it. Phenomenal job at showing rather than telling.

The assasinations have been decent so far... but this anime has been lacking in everything else. It needs to move this along...

Kirika looks too innocent to be a hitman lol
That violin OST was so goddamn awesome

But i feel like they should've handled Kirika's loss of memory better. So far it didn't even matter for anything that happened, and doesn't seem like they're trying to fix her either. They're just chill with it

at least they broke up the episode structure a bit. So its not 1st half talking of noir and second action. I hope they develope the underlining theme in the next episode further, its kinda stalling since ep1.

The soundtrack is the best element of the show so far. Hopefully the pace picks up and focuses more on Kirika's memory loss.

For people watching in 2018 this of course feels slow and like little is happening. But people must remember that shows before got longer seasons were they could go along really slowly and "show" more and "tell" less than they do nowadays. There could be 4, 5 episodes at a time of 'opponent of the week' were we would only get thrown tiny snippets of information/plot or the fleshing out of a character. IN Noir, we're slowly learning that Yukimura is not just an unsentimental killing machine but has some sense of doubt and even the tiniest of glimmers of a developing guilty conscience.
That's the way it used to be and Noir even though is not that old is pretty old school in that regard.Nowadays a show will be destroyed in social media if they did this. Just how things evolve.

I love the ost of this show. Amazing stuff.

Don't know if this slowness is really a product of its era. Admittedly most modern shows are faster, but so are most older shows. This is just a series that likes to build atmosphere, which is an unfortunately rare approach to anime regardless of the year.

Just noticed that the president's daughter is said to be 15 and the computer showed her DOB as 1994 so I guess the series takes place in "the future" of 2009 given that it came out in 2001. I've only seen up to episode 4 so far so I don't know if this becomes relevant or not, just something I noticed.

@Alexeon I noticed it too when I first saw the show but no, it doesn't impact the series in any way

That's a strange choice then. As far as I can tell, nothing in the story is futuristic or would benefit from not being set in the present, except maybe to distance any of the assassination targets from real world people I guess.
