| i honestly dont watch anime that much. lately i finish one or two animes a year (not counting random movie releases from my favorite series). i watched a LOT in 2021 and then i stopped because I feel like Ive watched every show that I think I would actually enjoy. i like shitting on the gross and detached 2D > 3D people on this app. |

| I guarantee you, AT LEAST 1 in 10 people on anime forums do not watch anime. It is fairly easy to tell who they are. They are the kinds of people who just have the same opinions as other people, particularly YouTubers. Back in the day, they were the SAO haters who just echoed everything Mother's Basement said to bash it, and never actually watched SAO, or likely any anime for that matter. Those people from back then became tourists who invaded the fandom at the end of the 2010s, and were the dominant force until around the beginning of 2023, when anime like Onimai started scaring them away. Today, these kinds of people still exist, but talk about different shows. Some of them actually started watching some anime, which is even worse, as they are not hurting up from the inside rather than the outside. |
