It's only episode 2 yet Isaku is already getting quite close to Keiya. While their relationship hasn't changed too much, there's definitely more intimate moments. Isaku also seems like an outspoken person when she wants to be.

It also looks like this show has a lot of moments when Isaku runs through inner thoughts in her head. She knows being associated and falling for Keiya might be wrong but she can't hide it. Other than that, there's still some amusing moments in this show.

They actually included "This story is a fiction, no relation to the real bla bla" thingy this time xD, i guess fear of Yakuza is real in Japan. Or they don't want kids to break the law ...

Now, let's just have this anime focus on funny antics of the main guy being mad at other boys getting in contact with the main girl, and then being silly about it .. instead of being you know ... a creep.

After she got saved, BECAUSE OF COURSE SHE GOT SAVED IN A SECOND EPISODE ALREADY, our heroine's quest for normal youth continues.

Yeah I find it a little bit strange to read a warning message in this episode, but I conclude that it must be from underage smoking and drinking, underage smoking/drinking is very rare in Japanese fiction. Fact: you'd find many more anime that portray kids getting killed or kill other people than kids smoking and drinking.

While Isaku settles with the norm of school life, for Keiya, how is he going to circumvent being her bodyguard? And for once, Isaku's prospects looked bright with the next class's Tamaru exchanging contacts with her, something which doesn't sit right with Keiya. Of course, if Isaku ends up liking Tamaru, why not...but with Keiya in the way, Isaku felt nervous on how she would be treated if Keiya saw all of these. A "genuine" friend that Tamaru is to Isaku, she would want the classic high school youthful life.

With Isaku sneaking out of the house, she is joined by Tamaru and his buddies to sing karaoke, though she's still getting used to the social terms. But what she didn't realize is their get-together is like a juvenile "Sex and the City" party, which Keiya came in without a word and trashed Tamaru who was drunk. Sure, Keiya had to track her using the GPS on her smartphone despite her still having the mentality of a child. True enough, Keiya's standards for Isaku having a boyfriend, but while he does check all of the boxes like a guardian, it was a night to remember, though not all that pleasant.

The life of youth is wild, but Isaku, you're not ready for the outside world.

Isaku learning that theres wrong kind of friends is something quite uncommon to see in a usual no friends MC romance series.

Also, wrathful Isaku is the best Isaku.

P.S: The acknowledgement of complication give some assurance for sure.

My fave anime this season is back with another great episode.

Wow they actually added that legal disclaimer at the bottom lol that’s wild. Guess the underage drinking, smoking and Yakuza stuff called for it.

Did bro really kick the door open and start shooting in SCHOOL. I thought this was Japan not America. All because Tamaru and Isaku exchanged instas lmao.

The beef between Tamaru and keiya was hilarious. Cleaning the chalkboard erasers right in front of him had me dying 😂

I actually really liked the karaoke club scene. Even though it sucked seeing Isaku be that uncomfortable, it was a realistic depiction of peer pressure that actual teenagers face. First time I’ve seen that in a non fantasy anime in a long time. Plus it exposed Tamaru as a rapey loser. Guess Keiya was right to be suspicious of him.

Yea a little weird and convenient that Keiya was there to stop it, but Tamaru deserved to get his ass beat, so I’m ok with it. My big concern is if this further causes Isaku to become isolated from people her age. Yea this dude was an asshole but that’s not everyone. She needs to socialise with people her age

The GPS tracker stuff helped today, but I really hope Keiya will outgrow a lot of this stuff. Really not helping Isaku long term

Anyway, still loved the episode. Love a good problematic shoujo

I will still watch it, anime is purely fiction, and characters are drawings they can be whatever author wants them to be, Im usually the one saying "ship the kids" or "who cares, they dont exist ppl can twist them however they see fit they arent real" but the age gap... the ideas it promotes on the audience... and the problem is not the gap itself, its that shes 15 😶 and even then THATS NOT THE PROBLEM ITSELF, she was raised by him "I'll be your papa and your moma and your brother" and then they develop feelings for eachother, you can't create a relationship with someone based on family like bonds and turn them into love, ye its a shoujo and is meant for girls to kick their feet and giggle but i dont think its sending the right message sry, there are some rly influentiabke ppl on the other side of the screen... had he been like 3 yrs older and being her support > childhood friend > lover it would be ok but he was basically the cool uncle and now there is romance 💀

Irl ppl are not the perfect prince written by a romance author, this world is vast and of a girl isnt aware of it and a grown up starts showing afection they might believe its real love and put in rly vulnerable situations, ill still watch it and i dont think its bad, its just that i think the existence of a big age gap requires a certain maturity lvl to be understood so IMO not all ages should watch it.

I agree with you. some girls can think that it is okay but i also have one point except age gap, it is that he is not her real dad, brother or mother. He just raised her and yeah it can be disturbing for some people to think of falling in love with their guardian. so yeah some people can get wrong idea.

Keiya seriously needs to calm down. Sure, the guy turned out to be a fraud, and his group of friends isn't exactly the best influence, but Keiya isn't much better. Tamaru definitely deserved a punch, but that was way over the top.

And putting a GPS on Isaku's phone? Come on, he's taking a page out of Eiko's book, but he really needs to stop overreacting every time she talks to another guy. He's not exactly a proficient yandere like Eiko.

As for that girl in the red off-shoulder top... Did her shirt just randomly change from red to blue and then back again?

this show has yet to present a likable character, that's a feat. it's also playing the 'try not to get boring challenge', impossible edition. two episodes in and she's fallen on keiya twice now, 2 for 2 what a plot. warning for minors but no problem bashing in the head of minor lmfaoo that's actually funny. guess it'll have goofy animation all the way through.

This is the first time I have discussed asking something because this is the first time I have seen "juvenile delinquency" such as smoking and drinking beer while I was watching school-themed anime.

could this happen?

because as far as I know, to buy cigarettes and beer at minimarkets in Japan you need identification. because in my case I usually buy cigarettes at minimarkets wearing normal clothes, as long as I don't wear a school uniform, the officer even warned me not to buy cigarettes wearing a uniform (it's better to go home and change clothes before buying cigarettes, he said). to buy beer I usually do it online, sometimes I even go to bars/clubs with my friends (they don't do identity checks as long as you can afford the beer), btw Jägermeister and Captain Morgan are our favorite alcoholic drinks because the prices are affordable for joint payment with my friends. HAHA LOL

The moment Keiya saved Isaku this time was honestly kind of impressive, if he didn't get there in time Isaku would be sexually harassed by Tamaru already.

I can't wait to see Seiya being overprotective to the point he would kill someone in the next episode :)

A shame this one opened up with a 2 minute recap in what was otherwise a banger episode imo, I’m glad I quickly realized tho and skipped ahead so it wasn’t that bad lol. But yeah, I really liked this one, Keiya really had me laughing multiple times with his reactions to that Tamaru guy lol, especially when he walked in and shot the wall when he first realized what was happening.

And I also enjoyed Isaku’s experience with Tamaru and the karaoke outing, from the beginning Tamaru seemed sus with how strong he was coming on, and it only got worse from there. I figured something bad would happen and Keiya would show up, and exactly that happened, but what I wasn’t expecting was for him to bash Tamaru’s head on the table that many times lol, I feel like there should have been blood but that was a very good scene imo, the glasses really made his look there too.

Needless to say, Isaku learned a lot in this episode lol, and this one also solidified for me that this is gonna be a fun ride, can’t wait for more.

I can't take it anymore, I need to read the manga! This is so frustrating because they both clearly have feelings for each other. This makes me feel some type of way, y'know. I'm so glad Keiya came at the perfect moment when that other creep was about to make a move on her. He gave me bad vibes from the start though. Now, Keiya is smooth as hell, although he did go a little far with beating up the other guy lol

Creeper is realizing his feelings. It’s sad Izaku was sheltered by her family and Keiya, which made her vulnerable and therefore easier for Keiya to convince her she needs him and the big bad world is after her without him. Surprisingly I liked this episode, but probably only because Isaku is so sweet. She’s trying so hard to gain independence and experience a normal high school life. Also don’t like how stilted Keiya’s animation is.

At this point I've gotta admit it's a little hard to watch. And I'm not saying this because of the age gap since many seem to take an issue with that. I've read stories or even wrote them where the two protagonists had a similar age gap and since it's fiction it wouldn't bother me (if it's done right).

BUT I'm more disturbed by Keiya's attitude and the way he acts. I know he's supposed to be a Yakuza but even then you'd think he has some common sense. To forbid her making friends is really extreme and the way he acts is simply toxic (but I get it, it's considered "romantic"). I mean... that guy was clearly a scumbag but even the way Keiya dealt with him was too extreme imo and kind of disturbing. Couldn't he just grab her and take her away from them?

I really don't know if I'm going to continue to watch this. At least Isaku's character is likeable enough and it's good she at least tries to have a normal life and I totally don't think it was her fault because she didn't judge that boy based on looks but she wanted to make new friends (well, and find herself a boyfriend so maybe that was a little naive but she's 15, so it's a little understandable).

Also when did media start to consider smoking as "cool" again?
I'm being honest that I didn't like this episode which is such a shame because I feel like this idea has a lot of potential. But nope...

Everything about this anime screams toxic relationships. I'm glad Keiya put one guy in his place but at the same time he is clearly mentally deranged. I mean look into his eyes, they're so soulless. The writing for Senagaki is really good though, you really feel for her when she is trying to make new friends but doesn't know how to go about it or even what she's doing.

I like how he got so jealous of Tamaru chatting with Isaku. They even showed that Keiya is like the boss's right hand (Just like in "Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting" Tooru).

Still waiting for the moment that I start despising this anime, but this episode still ain't it. It's a low seven right now, the impending "I hate this series" turning point is clearly going to happen sooner or later. Also, groomer dude does have a point, dumb high schoolers are bound to become complete monsters when drunk, so hey, free life lesson!

idk, i feel like the guy is controling too much, but then we see what happened in the karaoke room and maybe he is right in protecting her lol
tho i still think he should just look from a far and only protect her when needed, and not because he is jealous (and ends up shooting at the wall...)
