| Sometimes, trying to help someone in need isn't the easiest of choices, but Thorfinn and Einar have made the brave choice to help Arnheid in getting Gardar out of the country and away from harm's way. I must respect the duo for doing this to help out Arnheid, whose VA voice acting during her breakdown was top notch. Although they did their best with the plan, with Einar acting as decoy, it wasn't good enough to completely fool Snake. While he was unaware that Gardar was hidden directly underneath Sverkal's bed, he did make it back on horseback before covering the remaining distance on foot, to try and put a stop to this great escape. Thorfinn's resolve of not wanting to resort to violence is respectable, but sometimes, in order to help out someone in need, you have to do the right thing, even if it's something that you wouldn't want to do unless it was the only option left. Thanks to his inner mind thinking of what to do, Askeladd popped up again and voiced out the words needed to be said before Thorfinn, after the initial warning strike at Snake earlier, positions himself in the same combat stance that he used to do loads of times back in season 1. An excellent way to end this episode on a cliffhanger! I highly look forward to seeing how this fight will turn out. |

| Even after his Death, Askeladd is still the coolest guy around :D Also I literally got chills, when Snake is like "What's this Stance"....then we get a quick young Thorfinn insert *____* ....that was fire. |

| this episode sent me chills. scene where we see young thorfinn hit his signature pose. tbh if i was einar, i'd never help the chick i like escape with her mans, that's why einar's a better man than me lmao. could feel the tension during the scene where snake walked towards thorfinn, and thorfinn still got it. |

| If only he knew about batman, and just have 1 rule. And just be violent asf while maintaining his 1 rule. Damn twas great seeing thorfinn try to be serious tho i'm guessing he is rusty asf in terms of combat but his power and stamina is real after all that farm work and hacking down trees. |

| First episode of season 2 that felt like a "typical" anime to me. Especially that last scene where Snake and Thorfinn size each other up. Old Man Ketil's sword was shown mounted somewhere in the house several episodes ago. Maybe Arnheid could run inside and grab it instead of gawking at them. |
| Everytime Askeladd appears, its a tense moment. The father Thorfinn got to have. |

| Given the current events, it's hardly surprising why Snake would want Gardar dead. However, it should be equally understandable why Arnheid freed Gardar and thus enabled him to "escape" for the time being. There is no right or wrong, good or bad, just unfortunate circumstances that brought all these people into their current situation. As Sverkel mentioned, he and Snake could have ended up being slaves as well. Upon reaching Sverkel's house, Thorfinn and Einhar learned from Arnheid the true story that had taken place. Truly heartbreaking to see Arnheid cry like that. She was separated from Gardar for an indescribably long time, probably losing all hope of ever seeing him again, causing their time together to sink into oblivion. Meeting him again in person set these long-lost feelings free again and the hope that both of them could return to their old, peaceful lives became stronger. With this new knowledge, it was obvious to Einar and Thorfinn that they would help Arnheid and Gardar escape. Einar served as bait, cleverly impersonating Gardar, and ran towards the forest to lure Snake and the other two retainers out of the house. Meanwhile, Thorfinn carted Gardar, who was unconscious and hidden under Sverkel's bed, into a cart. Unfortunately, Thorfinn and co. have to reckon with Snake's acumen, as he quickly saw through that the person being pursued could not be Gardar. In fact, he was cunning enough to come back without his horse so as not to forewarn anyone about his return, leaving Thorfinn with a choice. He had actually sworn off violence, and Snake is no one to negotiate with. So what to do? Inwardly struggling to make a decision, Askeladd now stood by his side, which fitted so perfectly that I had a slight fangirl moment. His words encouraged Thorfinn to launch an half-hearted attack. Because of this, Askeladd asked if Thorfinn thought he could take down Snake while he was half asleep, whereupon Thorfinn finally took his usual fighting stance. What a way to end the episode. I can't put into words how hyped I am for next week. |

| That was so fire...the scene with Arnheid was done so well, the VA did a phenomenal job. And that fight at the end.. did not expect Askeladd to show up wow. I got chills when Thorfinn went into that fighting stance |
| Yeah... I don't see Thorfinn killing again (at least not this soon) so I assume Snake is gonna desist from going after Gardar and lowkey follow Sverkel's advice/last wish. Like come on, it's not like his men were good people so who cares? Another great episode. Arnheid's VA shone once again and that cliffhanger sure left me feeling quite impatient for next week. Also Askeladd hype. Only nitpick tho... would be Snake and co. not being able to smell a wounded Gardar despite him practically being under Snake's nose. That was kinda lame, not gonna lie. |
