Yikes, this is one of those times when the cast has to face the odds against them on their own. Have to say, when the anime gets serious, it gets real serious. We still got some background storytelling this deep into the show though, this time on Olivia.

Of course the show wouldn't kill off any of these girls though. And it's good to see Klaus again. Grete is also starting to become more of a breakout character.

Dude, that plot-twist with Grete supposedly cross-dressing as Klaus was so dumb, i'm sorry, but for real xD. And who would have thought that the evil assassin lady has a thing for psychopathic murderers who also happen to look, like psychopathic murderers at first glance.

Also, you know, i just thought, that this whole episode was basically what happens when a double date goes horribly wrong.

It made sense that Corpse would have allies that would have allowed him to deal with his targets more effeciently. But Klaus's message really showed well how much faith he had in them. What a way for Olivia to meet corpse though. Not to mention the kind of bond that she had with Roland. Using such a dangerous fall to fool Olivia really was impressive. Grete's crush on Klaus really is a potent source of motivation. But her plan really was a high level one. Though didn't expect Klaus to come with the roland in the box. While she couldn't secure his heart being able to stay by her side is more than enough for her. Overall a pretty ep that managed to balance out nice action with some nice expansion on Olivia and Grete.

And there is my fave part of the series so far animated. This is why I have Grete as best girl so far. Reading it, I really appreciated klaus being honest with Grete about how he just doesn’t know how to love anyone romantic and prefers familial bonds. They kept that emotion in the animation which is great.

You almost feel bad for Olivia. Messed up upbringing and then manipulated by Roland into becoming a weapon essentially. She’s a nice foil to Grete’s path. Klaus sees all his teammates as family whereas Roland sees people as pawns. We see in the end who was right.

Feel did pretty well actually. Cut out some dialogue between Grete and Olivia, but for the most part it was good in this arc.

Wish they would’ve been this consistent with the series from the start. Finale next week I’d imagine will be mainly anime original.

Well, Grete cross-dressing as Klaus (or rather the opposite was true instead if you close one eye), it isn't a far-fetched aspect. But with Corpse's associate Olivia breathing down the best of Lamplight's necks while Klaus and the others deals with the Corpse, it's a duo effort of two halves wokring to trap one illusive enemy.

Olivia's backstory with her master apprentice Roland a.k.a Corpse that kickstarted the rivalry of him against Klaus that became the cat-and-mouse chase for time millenia, it's defintely a couple's prejudice against the world's strongest assassin. Both Lily and Sybllia playing their roles into tricking Olivia that they are dead, and now it's up to codename Daughter Dearest Grete to finish off the mission, despite not being good at fights. That, with Mr. Uwe's hostility, Olivia was almost taken down for good. And though Grete's face may be partially scarred, her desire for love hasn't waned since that day. As for Corpse, against Klaus he was just a pushover, and this is the exact same with Olivia, being unworthy as enemies to conclude the mission.

To Kalus, the love that he needs is one of family, and therefore cannot reciprocate Grete's feelings as a woman. But as family, that's alright because she finally got the recognition that she's been seeking from him all this while.

So, where do we go from here with the finale?

And the mission is over. Grete did great and she's beautiful. Appreciate the fanservice, she has a beautiful body. The last part with Grete and Klaus was sweet.

That twist just wasn't all that good. For how well trained Olivia should have been, she ended be quite a lame villain, and Roland, well I didn't expect him to just get captured, rather, I thought he simply just wouldn't show up to help Olivia. A very lame episode, but at least Grete got her closure with Klaus.

I guess I won't be surprised if at some point they'll reveal it's Grete herself disguising as seven other girls. Like what was even this mission, playing disguise and fooling each other??

Also that thing in the end.. you call that getting family-zoned.

nothing official, but it could be after all there is a nice cast of seiyuu who are popular (Miku Ito, Sora Amamiya, Inori Minase, Aoi Yuuki) so it will surprise me if they never think to do a sequel but i don't know if the anime is apreciated

Not quite sure why that was dumb. If you are referring to how she sounded and interacted with the girls and they didn't know then yes, it was dumb. But, in the scope of the bad guy/girl, it was actually well done. Kept the bad girl from exposing or killing the other girls carelessly and that kept them safe. What was stupid however, was that Lily and the other girl literally did nothing and contributed nothing. Now THAT, was dumb.

Man Grete really stole the show, also I'm so glad that the BIRD IS STILL ALIVE!Grete knows how to disguise herself perfectly, even the enemy didn't notice and got shot in the process, what an nice play, and ofcourse Klaus took out the other one.

The last scene with Klaus & Grete alone was nice though, although Klaus didn't have romantic feelings, I still feel like they would get along just fine as an family. 1 more episode to go.

They rushed through a lot of it so they could adapt everything by this episode.

Grete's secret is finally revealed, and I laughed so hard when she started talking with Klaus' voice.

So the 'mission' at Uwe's home is finally over (he played an odd role in his own assassins being taken down)
Suitcases? Okay.. being lugged up on top of a roof is kind of comical. Kind of a letdown.
The reveal with Grete was more significant than anything else in the episode. Well of course it's a modern anime so her face looks even more pretty with the birthmark than with it covered up. It's more like a shadow. So she finally gets her date with Klaus.
But I didn't like the things he said to Grete.. it's too disappointing. I kind of feel like if a woman has feelings that strong and she's as beautiful as that, what he meant before, then how can that not move you in some way.

The new song they're using at the end is pretty solid though

Seriously, I personally think this is the best episode so far, Grete's development and backstory is amazing, they definitely put a lot of effort here.

NOOO, I did want him to reciprocate her feelings :c
pi pi pi

Is it my idea or lately Miku Itou (Grete's seiyuu) has been playing many characters who suffer for love? (Just see the last performances of her, except for one they all have a similar situation) xddd

Getting suitcased must be one of the most disrespectful things in the world lmao.

That was a pretty good arc, oh how I wish the studio didn't decide to mess up the first arc, now the show's reputation is in the gutter.

I kind of hope Roland is actually not just using Olivia, that was actually a nice little backstory. Hope we see how Corpse got captured too though.

Oof, Grete got family zoned. Looking forward to see how this cour will end.

She is not good at combat but can dodge a bullet and then that voice change, not really sure how all that works but screw physics, eh?

Also, a good ending for Grete actually since all she's looking for is love which can be found in a family too.

She cross dresses as him as a plot twist and the fact that she used his voice to say the message was just ridiculous lmao

That's the point. As Klaus said, he was a pushover. So why bother showing a fight where the results would be predictable.

This was my favorite episode for this series so far (I wish the series would've started out stronger before some people dropped it). This episode was focused on both Grete and Olivia's background. It sucked how Olivia tried to hurt Grete through words such as how Olivia's boss loved her unlike Klaus and laughed at Grete's scarred face but Grete and Klaus got the last laugh at the end.

The final scene was touching and Grete showed herself vulnerable to Klaus. While it was a bit of a shame that Klaus has no romantic feelings towards her (or anyone else supposedly) at least there is familial love. It's a bummer that this anime is peaking towards the end of the season though, curious about the finale.
