 Production company Bushiroad opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Ren Eguchi's Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill) light novel on Saturday, revealing the man cast, staff, and a teaser visual (pictured). Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Novels label in November that year, featuring illustrations by Masa. The 12th volume shipped on June 12. The light novel has a cumulative 4.5 million copies of its volumes in print. Akagishi K (Sabikui Bisco) began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in March 2017. The sixth volume went on sale last November. J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English for digital release and published the 11th novel volume on May 11 and eighth manga volume on June 22. The company also publishes the Sui no Daibouken spin-off by Momo Futaba. Synopsis Along with three other heroes, 27-year-old Mukouda Tsuyoshi is transported into a fantasy world to rescue a kingdom from a mysterious threat. However, it soon becomes clear that Tsuyoshi has been dragged into the summoning ritual by accident. His only skill turns out to be "Food Menu," which allows him to open an interface where he can purchase and obtain food-related supermarket items from modern Japan. Unceremoniously booted out of the palace, Tsuyoshi sets out on his own into his new world. However, his ability to create delicious dishes unknown to this world soon pays dividends, even attracting the legendary wolf Fenrir. Fenrir is so taken in by the food that the creature immediately forms a contract with Tsuyoshi, becoming his familiar. Followed by this whimsical mythical being, Tsuyoshi takes up a job as a merchant and adventurer, traveling and cooking up mouth-watering meals that never fail to amaze the inhabitants of this world. | It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| I read the manga for this a while back and was really bored of it pretty quickly, so not too interested for this anime adaptation. Interesting seeing MAPPA take on this project though, and have that release a couple months after being announced. They already have their plate full with tons of other big shows/sequels so it's definitely a different choice to say the least. |
