| This episode actually confused me...alot...... like....I think I'm starting to confuse all the guys with each other...besides Sannan and Toshi they all feel exactly the same @_@; ((actually....if Sannan wasn't obviously the megane-character...I'd probably confuse him with everyone else too....)) Also...I know this is supposed to be mainly historical but.....is there seriously anything else in there? I starting to feel like I'm watching a history lesson...and that's not good... Need more drama or something... <_<; Oh and I totally agree.....Chizuru needs to stop being so...well...useless and in-the-way...I'd forgive her if she amused me with some more romantic twists or having some unique power/trait....but -going by the way this is currently going- this probably isn't going to happen... |

| The Ikedaya Jiken plays out quite nicely. Sounds like they are going to do the Hamaguri rebellion or possibly the Choshu expeditions after that incident... |

| The whole anime is slowly getting better and better, this time bringing a whole lot of good action and development between the characters, also Chizuru is growing in my eyes, not even to mention Hijikata, who at the moment, is my favorite of the Shinsengumi bunch. So yeah, we get a long and bloody battle and its slow aftermath, only to get hints of an even bigger one coming up next episode possibly? And in between of all that, the harem is still progressing, with the episode's last shot clearly showing that to us. I hope the series stays on that direction and gives us more great swordfights. 8/10 PS. Loved the two villains. |

| I don't know why I still haven't dropped this... maybe i'm forcing myself for once to watch sth boring until the end of it. I'll admit that this episode was much better than the two previous ones... but still didn't manage to capture my interest... 3/5 for this. |

| So far this show is just a really, really bad reverse-harem. Chizuru is the most generic, stupid female character anyone could have come up with. And gosh, has the show managed to strip the Shinsengumi off all their cool factor, despite making them super pretty. *sigh* I'll keep at it - mainly because of the bishies - and hope it improves. |

| That was an amazing battle, it was giving me Rurouni Kenshin vibes. Loved all the individual duels and straight up massacres. Okita contradicting his own words and putting his life on the line to save Chizuru in an un-winnable battle, he's just getting better and better, respect. Also, Hijikata owning the Aizu clan as the Shinsengumi Vice-Captain one moment, then showing the "nice guy" side to him with rewarding Chizuru the next was great. Oh yeah, this Hajime Saitou is also living up to his name, that stab on the stairs was epic. In the end, the Shinsengumi strive to prove themselves and gain the acceptance of the citizens, but it backfires. Well, if it were that easy, it wouldn't even feel good right? 5/5 |

| The raid was pretty brutal, reminded me of Trust and Betrayal. Saitou is a bad ass no matter what anime he appears in. That mystery swordsman has intrigued me. Looks like Chizuru is stepping up in the world, now she gets to do more than "yes!" and "thank you!" I liked that bit at the end with the festival, it's nice to see Chizuru is being treated like part of their group more and more. |
