 Global streaming platform Netflix announced a new original anime series titled Exception during the fourth day of the Netflix Geeked event on Thursday. The event also announced the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured). Synopsis In the distant future, human beings have been forced to leave earth and migrate to another galaxy. An advanced team of spacecraft arrives at a planet that is to be terraformed. Each member of the team is output by a biological 3D printer. (Source: Netflix) Yuuzou Satou (Gatchaman Crowds assistant director) is directing the space horror anime at Tatsunoko Production (Bakken Record) and 5 Inc. Novelist and live-action director Otsuichi (Adachi Hirotaka) (Goth, Kizu) is penning the original story. Yoshitaka Amano (Vampire Hunter D, Gibiate) is designing the characters.
