 The official website for the Shinmai Maou no Testament anime series has announced that the series will get a new OVA episode. Titled "Departures," the new episode will screen in limited Japanese theaters on January 27, 2018 for two weeks. The Blu-ray and DVD disc for the episode will be released on March 28, 2018.Shinmai Maou no Testament is a light novel series written by Tetsuto Uesu and illustrated by Nekosuke Ookuma that began publishing in October 2012. The series has ten main volumes and two spin-off volumes in print, with the 11th volume to be released on November 1. A manga adaptation by Yoshio Pierre ran for nine volumes in Shounen Ace magazine between May 2013 and April 2017. A second manga adaptation drawn by Fumihiro Kiso was serialized via Young Animal Arashi magazine between February 2014 and May 2016 for five volumes. The light novel series was animated into two TV series by Production IMS which aired in Winter and Fall 2015, as well as two OVA episodes. Both seasons and two OVA episodes will be included in a Blu-ray Box, which will also be released on the same day as the new OVA Blu-ray and DVD. Source: Moca News |
