| Jesus fucking Christ. It really got me. That ending was so fucking real and depressing. The warm but solemn music as Hamamoto began to break and beg for his life as Kappei cries his heart out with nothing to say other than "I'm sorry". I was a little disappointed with the show not delivering on the emotional keys so far as I thought it would but this episode surpassed expectations altogether. |
| Holy crap, this is getting darker than End of Evangelion at this point. I wonder how well this would go over today. Especially considering it masquerades/was marketed as a cartoon intended for kids. |
