Mine was Kill la kill. I knew about some anime's but I didn't watch any, but my friend was a huge fan of Kill la kill so I decided to watch it. I ended up loving it and it made me want to watch more anime.
Help the industry and buy Blu-rays and DVD's.

Yu Yu Hakusho was my first anime when I actually knew what I was watching lol. I've been watching anime Consistently since 2011. Wish I would have gotten into anime sooner though. It took me till after I finished high school to get interested.

Bakugan or Absolute Duo. One I saw on TV and just considered as another cartoon and the latter I went in full well knowing it was an anime. Finished both though.

My first was either the Dragon Ball series or Pokemon then I started watching other shounen series like Yuyu Hakusho, One Piece, Bleach etc.
But what really made me an anime fan was when I watched AnoHana, that's when I really started branching out and watching all kinds of genres.

Ignoring the anime I watched as a kid, Mirai Nikki around May 2015, I loved Yuno and I had to search for similar stuff after finishing it, from there I was hooked to anime.

When I started watching anime seriously, I started with SAO and FMA (2003)...
At first I really liked it until Elfheim, I stopped watching by that point...
I finished FMA(2003) and it was Incredible, and the ending was so "Wait, What?... WTF just happened? OMG Really..."

Well... When I was younger they actually aired semi old anime on tv dubed [I am from Mexico] so I remember I watched stuff like Card Captor Sakura , Sain Seiya, Utena, Digimon, Pokemon, Dragonball and Dr.Slump. Since I was small I have no idea what I watched first... I also doubt I watched all of it and I don't even know at what episode I left on.

But the one I remember the most was Card Captor Sakura. The like in 2008 I started watching anime again and I think i started with Ouran?? I have horrible memory for this. I have such respect for those of you that clearly remember.

I got officially obsessed with anime around 2012. Another was what got me hooked. It was the first ongoing show I watched.

If we're talking about first anime EVER, then I think Pokemon or maybe Hamtaro, if that's an anime. But that was in like elementary school.

If we're talking about serious watching, then Mirai Nikki in March of 2015. That anime started my love for anime.

Technically this wan't my first anime (If you want to know that it was Pokemon) but hopefully someone might find this story as interesting/funny as I do. Anyways my second anime I ever watch (even before Yugioh) was a little something special called Yu Yu Hakusho. I remember coming home from preschool when I was only four almost five years old and watching this show on a daily basis. I didn't quite understand the story back then but for those who have seen it this show is pretty violent and very vulgar and no kid should ever watch it. I've brought this up with my mom and she still stands behind her decision of letting me watch it (and yes she still remembers the characters if nothing else). i'm sure many people won't believe me but I swear this story is 100% true and accurate. Thoughts?

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Steins Gate. Watched Evangelion purely by accident one day as I was searching for interesting science fictions series. After checking it out on MAL I looked up top anime and S;G interested me. Needless to say S;G changed my whole perspective on anime and now I'm balls deep in it (~5k episodes)

I used to be obsessed with Beyblade, Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, but the first anime I watched with the intention to finish it and fully understanding what anime was, was Wolf's Rain. Can't believe that series is already aroun the 13 years old, it feels I started watching it just yesterday...

I was watching Yandere sim LPs for no real reason, and I felt like I wanted to watch something like that, minus the killing and all. So I looked up a top 10 school anime video and went with the first one it showed me on the list, which was this one at #10. And I watched it. And I enjoyed it.

That's about it really, nothing too fancy or anything
