But just for kicks I guess there are a couple areas to poke holes into (pun completely intended). One: rule 34 should not ruin anybodies opinion on anything, it's just a common internet practice. If you don't like seeing your favorite anime characters bang don't go to sites that show the characters banging. I mean consistently calling it gross and saying nobody wants to see it but then defining a group of people that wants to see it seems strange, slightly homophobic, and you could have easily applied almost the exact same list of things to yuri but that's probably your kink. The last note, everything and anything can and will probably be shipped with something at some point, be it male x male, female x female, characters from different universes, inanimate objects, you x your hand, etc. |

| Yes I agree that some yaoi fans act very weird and very clingy; there's absolutely no room for argument here. I'll also admit that most yaoi manga (and even some of the already few yaoi animes available) are outright shitty and have no plot whatsoever except for men getting it on (basically hentai) and YES there is a ridiculously big number of girls/guys who still like them anyway. But the fact is I am a yaoi fan myself (for a few years by now) and have been there and done all of that as well. The point is, die-hard yaoi fans have the right to showcase their interests, as much as any other person or any other fan of any genre does. I'm not even going to ask why it's ok for someone to put the picture of an almost naked catgirl as his avatar and be totally acceptable when putting an explicit picture of 2D men kissing is outrageous and completely unnecessary. If you're not ok with it, that's totally fine. Don't be, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean anybody else isn't going to. |
