Aikido would be among the more obvious. It's more about coordination and flexibility, and involves very little strength training.

How about aikido? It's more on the defensive side since it focuses on nullifying your enemy's attack. The harder they come at you, the harder they fall. I took it up for a year and managed to get through despite not being physically strong.

No martial art requires solely on brute strength. But for most things you require strength. It's incredibly stupid to get into a martial art solely because less strength because that's just a sign of laziness and it will show in your technique.

Archery, it's still technically a martial art.

It's better to put on bulk. It's healthy, it looks good, and makes people intimidated, preventing more fights than having a black belt in the Kamehameha or whatever would.

I'm not saying technique and skill doesn't matter. What I'm saying is, brute strength and size is much more important. Also, ruthlessness. Don't be a fucking little bitch ass pacifist. Someone attacks you, don't hesitate to injure them as severely as legally possible. But don't take things too far, don't get yourself in trouble. Self defense is about protecting yourself, and even though you successfully beat the shit out of the offender, you might get in legal trouble. You still hurt yourself, in another way, you failed at self defense.
