Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Muslims to reject contraception and have more children. In a speech broadcast live on TV, he said "no Muslim family" should consider birth control or family planning.  "We will multiply our descendants," said Mr Erdogan, who became president in August 2014 after serving as prime minister for 12 years. His AK Party has its roots in Islamism and many of its supporters are conservative Muslims. I used to think that way. Why is it so uniformly true that low IQ countries are shit? The standard argument is that they have low IQs because the countries are shit. This doesn't hold up when you see that immigrants, generations down the line, have essentially the same average IQ. IQ 90 is the estimate for absolute minimum for a functioning democracy. Some figures have Turkey at 90, but they're a few years old. |
