This felt really rushed, especially this episode.

But it had a nice ending to it, I suppose this was the best way they could end it. There will probably be no season 2 then. But this series was a nice ride.

I will definitely be reading the manga because I'm just too attached to the characters and the anime did not let me get to know them as well as I would've liked....but it still gets a 9/10 because it was fun and exciting and the witches were the best! I love Yamada x Shiraishi

Erasing the witches erased the effect of their powers as well. Rushed anime but lovely nonetheless.
Sad to see it end :(

Rushed indeed, those last 3 episodes were confusing as fuck. Needed more unnecessary characters lmao.
Meh, and it was such a cool comedy at first.

All the seven witches are gathered.

Yamada made a wish to get rid of the witches' powers of in his school.

They sure rushed the anime a lot.

Last few episodes were so rushed it ruined it. It was too noticeable that it took away all the buildup, emotions, whatever you'd feel watching an anime.
I liked when I started reading the manga, but soon got bored... I guess it's the same with anime adaptation. Nothing special, but not terrible except the rush.
I can't even rate it now, it left me feeling empty which is kinda a let down.
I don't regret watching because I wanted to know the end to the story, but like I said, I feel empty after it. No significant emotion. Maybe I'll continue the manga some day..

P.s. I feel this manga/anime made kissing lose it's purpose, but I guess that's the whole catch so it can't be helped.

Lotta scenes and development— especially for Yamada— thrown out the window.

It did a good job of still staying entertaining all the way through, but I didn't like the horribly fast pacing. Eh

I dunno, I'm a dirty anime only watcher so I didn't really feel as much rushing as others are finding, though some parts did seem to have been cramped or some events skipped. Either way, one of my favorites of the season which is still very, very surprising for me. Loved it.

It was rushed and even those who didn't read the manga could see that. It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it enough after a couple episodes I picked up the manga and REALLY enjoyed it and I encourage anyone who even enjoyed it a little bit to think about doing the same because the manga really is much better; it really explores a lot of the characters much deeper. 7/10 for the anime it was still good.

If you read the manga start from the beginning.

Well if I didn't read the manga I feel that it was kind of ... rushed?
But still I don't care the plot was interesting, the story super funny and romantic (and dramatic towards the end) ...
I will give it a 8/10 overall
But just for the fact that A LOT of things aren't explained well (or wen to quick) it will be a 7 from the last ep.

You should, current arc is amazing.

@OT
Had a strong start, just a shame they decided to put in 90 chapters of content into 12 episodes, should have given it ~20 ish episodes to get the important details in. I would have given it a 8/10 if I had not read the manga, but after reading the manga and realizing how much important stuff had been excluded from this adaption, I'll just go with a 7/10. I sort of hope they either re-do it or some other company somehow gets the rights to it and properly adapts the manga, but I guess chances of that happening are low. Ending with Shiraishi and Yamada sort of saved it from being a 6 for me.

Nice show! Really enjoyed it the whole way out.

I have some questions for the manga readers among us:

1. Are there any important events (for the main story) after the anime-end?

2. Is YamadaxShiraishi canon or is it uncertain in the manga?

3. I read on several sites that there are still witches (new witches) in the school. How is this even possible? I thought Yamada wished for all the witch powers to vanish from the school?

4. Who will become the new Student Council President?

Thank you very much.

If you look at this from an anime-only angle, it's pretty decent. A bad adaptation (haven't read the manga, so not sure) of good material can still produce a good show. It was definitely among the better ones this season.

I'm so tired of everyone bitching about the STUDIO. They were given 12 episodes. They had to deal with that episode count. For that, the studio handled it AMAZINGLY well.

Yes, it was rushed. It was extremely rushed. But I'm sure you can't do much better with that source material and amount of episodes.

It was obvious Witch chapter had to be reached for the ending - chapter 90, the end of the first story line. It's literally the best point to end an anime adaption of any ongoing manga I have ever seen, because everything is given very decent closure. Some less informed manga readers thought the manga was going to end there. (The author had stated a long time before chapter 90 that Yamada-kun was only in the prologue though. So chapters 1-90 were basically the prologue.)

For what it was and could have been, it was a well done adaption.

Well, this rushed adaptation has reached its conclusion. Though it skipped way too much for me to completely enjoy the whole series, I'm just happy to see chapter 90 animated.

To everyone who at least moderately enjoyed this series, I highly recommend you check out the manga since the characters are developed A LOT more and a good chunk of details surrounding the witch hunt was omitted. Not to mention, all the comedy is still there with an even great helping.

Rushed as hell, but I still thought they did a good job. They hit all of the main parts of the story, but it wasn't nearly as funny as the manga. If only it were a 24 episode series I would have given it a higher rating.

It happened in the manga. After chapter 90, the Shiraishi x Yamada ship is canon. But of course with Nene and other harem to get in between.

7/10, debatably a 6/10. This series did almost everything right - voice talent, tone, art, music - but they didn't have the space to properly adapt the story, which is what hurts it the most. Little time for proper character development and the rushing through plot points hindered this from being a great series, not to mention skipping some of my favorite moments in this arc.

Agreed. Where it was good, which is in those aspects mentioned earlier and with a few episodes that were handled well, it was very good, so it gets points for that.

Yup. If you read the manga, you will notice that they crammed 1 chapter into 1 dialogue. LOL omitting lots of jokes and necessary explanations. I mean they skipped the kissing of the witches after the memory loss (Sarushima, Otsuka and Noa) in only one frame each. While the manga took like 2-3 chapters.

This should've been one of the best part of episode 11, but Linden just got to sell Shiraishi only and cram it into one frame.

I liked it, but it was way to rushed and confusing at the end. there wasnt enough focus on the characters that where introduced and it got to the point of just being messy and confusing.
Was also hoping for some more romance between Yamada and Shiraishi. I should probably just pick up the manga...

Rushing done right I’d call this. What a freaking unexpectedly good anime we got here! I guess the complaint as an anime-only viewer that I’d have is that because it’s just one cour with obviously tones of material to cover, there aren’t any breathers between the events, often making it hard to keep up with what’s happening. We probably missed some more characterization regarding the other witches in the process(we got plenty of Nene though) but in they did still had their moments.

Also a satisfying conclusion giving the us the much-wanted and long-coming Yamada & Shiraishi pairing. I am a bit sad though, that with Yamada’s decision for the witch powers to disappear this means this is the last we’ll see of Yamada & the 7 witches in anime form.

Quite satisfied with the anime though I’ll probably hit up the manga too.

It definitely could have been a 24-episode season, and that may have detracted from the enjoyment somewhat, but that doesn't mean I can't like what's already here.
