Arclight's reaction back then was horrifying but Blade succeeded as we all know^^ |

| Finally we get a bit of backstory about the two Adams and Eve. And it's getting quite interesting. Guess this is what happens when you 'play God'. I wasn't surprised that Kasumi's little comment ("we may never see each other again") turned out to be so true in the end or that she is who we now call Eve. I guess the next episode will show us how Arclight got so powerful. |

| mmm just backstory here. But i sorta wonder how/why they make arclight back into a human looking thing from that zombie. |
| Eve is the same age as Blade? because they looked the same age when they first met... |
| Kinda disappointing that this entire episode was a flashback, especially since there was no action and humor in it. Backstory is necessary in some anime, but in shows like Needless, I'm much more interested in the action rather than the plot. |

They said she left some kind of will, so I assume she donated her body in favor of the Eve project and as a result, got reborn as Eve. |

Remember that in the previous episode they mentioned how Saten was also a survivor of the accident and he knew Dr. Rikudo. It would explain why Saten is in love with Eve, as he seemed to have feelings for Kasumi as well, and Eve looks like her twin (either because they decided to do it that way to honor her, or maybe as it's suggested here, because they used her genes in the Eve project to start with). Kinda soon, but the preview also suggests some interest on Eve that's beyond scientific (although previews are tongue in cheek of course xD). I really liked the episode, as long as the backstory is interesting I don't care that the present part of plot gets halted for a while. Reminds me of the first season of Shakugan no Shana that by the middle had all the story about Shana's training and origin. I also like how it shows explicitely that the being encouraged and hailed as a success while born becomes the hero (though a jerk, he is still altruistic) while the one hailed as a failure and dumped on becomes the villain. May sound like a cliche, but it really goes to show nurture over nature. Had Arclight been examined more and saved instead of being declared trash, maybe he wouldn't be a homidical murderer with a God Complex. Oh and really liked the little touch of Eve being Eve-N. |

Yea that's true... they really should have spread the flashbacks over the entire series at the right moments instead of having couple of epiodes dedicated to flashbacks... Speaking of which, how could Cruz have a flashback of his own sister betraying the Resistance when he nver saw it in the first place? Anyhoo they had 20 episodes to do that and I thought just reshuffling the episodes a bit woud have turned this into a really good anime. Love the characters and action but the plot twists aren't very well executed... Also Adam and Eve... I did not think at all to link that to "Adam and Eve" from Genesis. I thought Eve looked a bit like Kasumi but I never suspected that one of the researchers might be Saten~ Seriously, it's a shame that all the backstories are being left to the last episodes... oh well at least the comedy element was more or less perfect~ I wonder if they gave the anime the "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" element on purpose~ |

| The backstory was very interesting, and we finally learned about two Adams: Blade and Arclight. I wonder what happened with Kasumi's death until I assume that Eve is actually Kasumi. I hope they will explain about that one. I am looking forward to the next episode. |

| Most of the srs moments in Needless have been mega fail, as have the previous flashback episodes, but this one was interesting enough that I don't mind losing out on the action. I agree that Kasumi's death was handled in a really shitty way. They could have at least shown the accident or SOMETHING rather than just abruptly saying "o too bad she died lol." Since there's only four episodes left obviously they're running out of time and trying to cut as much shit as possible. Makes me wish they would have trimmed some of the crap out of the arc when they were in "that room," for instance Solva and the other chick's back story didn't deserve a whole episode of attention. |

| Wow, very interesting backstory of the Adam project. I'm guessing that Kasumi died in an airplane accident? Since she said that she's going to a vacation. If Gido went along with her, he would have been dead too. ALSO,WTF, BLADE AND EVE WHEN THEY WERE CHILDREN ARE SO CUTE, LOL. Blade probably worked his ass out to get all those muscles in the future. VERY INTERESTING EPISODE. |

| It didn't show us what accident Kasumi died in. Must've been unrelated to the plot then. I'm guessing that Arclight was jealous of Blade not being a "failure". In the last episode it showed some charred brown zombie running around in the visions Arclight was having, which could've been him rampaging through the lab for revenge or something. |
