Nice to go back in time & see how things were done in a different era. Some good old school violence and despair. Like how that scientist/engineer takes care of business with a rocket hammer. :-) |

Being a cybernetic doctor, I think he should have protected his hands more, forgo close quarter combat and opted for long ranged weapons. Come to think of it, whatever happened to guns or projectile weapons for that matter? I haven't seen a single one in this episode. I got more questions but it seems like I'm already ranting. :P Yugo seems to be involved in the spine black market...err wait the black market below Zalem is the only market there is. LOL Maybe the second episode will have the answers for me. |

| I really enjoyed it. For being a 30min ova you got a big look at their world, some action, and a decent plot that made sense. |
| Old school series. I think this is the oldest series I might of ever watched before, silly me Anyways, looks alright so far...even though I'm watching it in dubbed. I'm surprised that Gally/Alita has a stronger personality than most robotic girls than I originally thought. Also, that dog ;.; |

| This was really wonderful done, I really liked this as it was really well done! This also gave me a Trigun like feeling or at least for Ido, looking forward to see what the second episode will offer us! |

| It's well animated but that's fairly standard for most good late '80s-early '90s OVAs. The story and characters are kinda basic but to be fair they don't have much to work with in two 30m eps. The female antagonist's the worst offender, character-wise :P With her monologues and inexplicable antagonism. Anyway, it's certainly decent and paints an interesting world. btw just curious what people were expecting? (everyone's saying this wasn't what they expected). I've seen this before so can't relate, just curious. |
| I've been meaning to watch this for some time, just before seeing the live action remake is a great time! I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. I've seen other OVA series made during this time, and the quality shown here was much more than I was expecting. It's a little ham-handed, but I enjoyed it. |
| A friend of mine just watched Alita in theaters and said it was awesome so I figured that it would be nice to get acquainted with the characters first before I try watching the movie while it's still showing. It's pretty interesting how Ido would resign himself into a cesspool like Scrap Iron City and it looks like he has a lot of fun playing bounty hunter and the junkyards over there houses knick-knacks with quite the potential. Gally's quite a cutie even if she's into spine-thieves and rips people and cyborgs apart with her bare hands. |

| Great OVA. This is one anime that really deserves an update. I'd like to see a 12 episode tv series that follows the manga closely. |

| decided to watch the anime adaptation since i saw the movie a bit ago. i'm really happy that the movie followed the anime (so hopefully, manga too) so closely. i'll have to go to reading the manga too since there's only one more episode, but i would like to see a remake of this. |

| this was pretty cool, havent read the manga but i still noticed some of pacing and stuff with those cuts and stuff but it was still very good overall. the story and plot are quite interesting, i really love the setting and cant wait to find out more about that city above and this world. characters are nice as well, gally was really badass in the fighting scenes and main dude and that other girl are pretty decent too. the animation was actually quite high quality and impressive (considering this was made in the 90s) and ost was a great match as well. also, loved this scene where she's sitting on the high building over the city, liked how they framed it and portrayed it with the angle and stuff. reminded me a whole lot of the touka scene from tokyo ghoul as well, maybe they took inspiration from this? |

| damn the ost is nice Would have been nice if we had more of an introduction to the characters and world before jumping into the action. Also, this anime looks way too good not to have a hd remaster |
