| A modern anime adaption of Battle Angel Alita would be awesome.. Guess we'll have to wait for James Cameron's movie "Battle Angel". If it ever comes out. As for the episode, it was good. Maybe a bit rushed. |

| That was sad, Gally and Chiren saving him in the first place just became a waste. T_T Rocket hammer still doesn't make sense to me but Ido wielding it effectively like that is something by itself. It's both weird and funny that I seem to have did it in reverse, I watched this first then read the review after since I still have questions. :D I'd just read Archaeon's review of this OVA and found out that this intentionally was just an advert for the manga. I don't know if I'll read the manga later though... |

| I liked it, but I feel like it was 1 episode too short. If it's really just an advert for the manga though as tofei says, then I think it was utterly perfect. It was good enough that I would be interested in seeing more, and it left out enough that I feel like I *have* to see more. I really liked this, and I'll probably end up rewatching it within the year. |

| would've liked to have seen more of badass samurai hunter guy, but they did really well telling a story for the short space of time they had. Would another half hour have hurt? :( |

| Badass Ido is badass. A fine introduction to its manga I guess. This deserves a remake and make it a series. |
| I'm quite amazed of the quality of this second episode as well! I really liked the overall story/atmosphere that was created here from start till end so all in all I really liked this anime! |

| it was a decent adaptation of the second volume, kinda skipped most of the stuff in the first except for some stuff springled in here and there. also dont recall the female doctor appearing in the manga, at least the 1st 2 volumes.... thats all ive read |

| This anime with other titles (Akira, Ghost in the shell, Ninja scroll & Macross Plus) made me completely fall in love for the second time with anime when I was a teenager. Will forever hold a special place in my Kokoro. Oh, man! This brings back memories of my teenage years, good times! |

| What a beautiful commercial for the manga ! Notably thanks to Yuki Nobuteru's magnificent work on the character designs* so inappropriate for animation (something that shows even in video market productions), the limited but great music and the arrangement of the manga's first stories (two tomes) summarized into two self-contained and coherent OAVs despite their flagrant lack of informations lost in the compression. Score: 7/10 Enjoyment: 5/5 The story that made me buy the manga (despite the rather poor french edition available at the time). * Even the rather pretty style of the mangaka back then pales in comparison. |

| Good commercial for the manga. I love art style. I was curious about manga. Music is the best, Gally theme was so melancholy. It would take proper adaptation that should be of at least 30. episodes. 7/10 |
| Such a cruel ending, this was nothing like the first episode as implied by the title. Biggest let down was the pacing, this episode should have been an hour long if not stretched over a series. Everything was rushed and the pacing was too quick leaving viewers just shocked and disturbed; there wasn't enough plot development for things to sink in. Animation and art is exceptional, just downplayed by direction. I'll bet the manga is something spectacular - nice cyberpunk series in general. |

| Those who longed for Zalem died, that's sad but at the same time a deserved one. I would've loved to see this city of dreams, so I wished they showed it. Vector is one cruel business man for doing that to Chiren, I guess she sorta got what she wanted in the end to go to Zalem but in a different state. As for Yugo I kinda figured he would die too the way he behaved, now Gally has lost her only boyfriend how sad even though he was planning to abandon his dream. 6/10. |

| If someone's so desperate to go to somewhere they've never been to that they'd harvest spines in the guise of free lube jobs, it won't be much of a surprise that their dream will crumble when the dream's nearly realized. The sad thing is that he won't even have a way to get into Zalem even if he had successfully dodged all those vermin rings on the way up the sewage pipe. Not even a wall-breaking kabedon nor an electrifying kiss was able to stop him. Chiren might've been a rough character throughout but she didn't deserve to get shipped to Zalem in pieces like she did. Vector did try to fulfill his promise in a twisted sort of way but it's a good thing that he was stopped from desecrating her memory even further as inventory. |

| Used it tonight to "wash my eyes" after the teenager SF version. I realized that what was the most tame in the movie was actually the music, not the "blue blood" and environnement. | This definitely felt rushed... especially the relationship between Yugo and Gally, she just met him one day then all of sudden she's in love with him... the heck... glad he died in the end. Anyway, hopefully the manga is better. |

| finally found it subbed. anyways, great little ova. the animation is gorgeous, i love how the hair was done, specifically on gally. the ending song is amazing. |
| Damn, what happened to Chiren was sick. I felt bad both for her and for Ido, because he saw his friend in that state. Yugo died. :( At least he was able to see Zalem before dying. The action sequence was short, but intense. Great OVA. I might pick up the manga, since the story told in these two episodes of the OVA interested me enough. |
| My 58th completed series chronologically. For the record, I extended it a 6/10 rating. |
