Probably one of the least known of the pile of great Macross 7 pieces, but a personal fave of mine and the most guitar-oriented. I was going to nominate Yakitori from GitS:SAC since it's basically a 7 minute guitar solo, but Yoko Kanno stuff always gets nominated :(

I had to resurrect myself for this. I've been waiting for Electric Guitar Week for awhile. I always wanted to nominate something from Gintama OST but have never been able to pick a song for a theme. This particular song is usually used during the "crowning moments of awesome" throughout Gintama but it has a distinct melancholy that makes it difficult to pin down a theme. So it's probably not the most technically accomplished of guitar pieces but it's one of my favorites.

Instantly my first thought is Daft Punk's "Aerodynamic" from Interstella 5555, followed quickly by "Cautionary Warning" from Black Heaven, but I'm going to try and see if I can do something different with this one. :3

Omo, tempting as it is to nominate the Galneryus song, being one of my favorite songs, I don't think you can argue that this song is way more guitar-driven.

Shredding is all well and good with electric guitars, but you can also make them wail and sing with soul, and how. I think this song is a good representative of that, and that there's more to an electric guitar than overwhelming force. Black Heaven taught us that valuable lesson as well. <o

There's a lot of heavy electric guitar pieces from this score, though i find this one to be one of the best. This should work along side everyone's tastes.

@zzeroparticle - Here's a piece that is pretty much Guilty Gear themed, from Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny. I was gonna nominate, though it's more then just electric guitar themed. Listen to it though!
