Haha I really like the idea of just crashing in on their lessons. Though it'll definitely be embarrassing if I get caught.
I remember seeing some really dumb ones too, but I think those are pretty smart compared to the many in those fashion magazines. Used to read them at the hairdressers (since that's all they have there) and will sometimes look through them and formulate sarcastic remarks in my head...
Pretty much decided on a rating for Toradora, though that is on a bit of standstill now. Currently trying to structure my review for Hikari no Senritsu. Out of curiosity, if you were to give that single a rating, what rating would you give? (Mine is already set at 'Good', which I doubt will change unless yours is vastly different)

Well, frankly, it's not. Just lacks focus. While you get to see the boy's side of the story, you just can't help getting distracted by his 'hot mama' =.=
Can I ask something a bit retarded? By visit college campuses, do you mean just go there and walk in? Haha because here, people aren't allowed to just enter schools to look around, so I always thought you either need to go with a tour group or 'make reservations'.
I get the feeling that when I go to America, it is probably for the sole purpose of visiting campuses. I never liked amusement parks or sight seeing much... May visit one of the national parks though =D
I never really liked reading he Q&A. I don't quite understand why anyone would, since most of the time, the questions don't concern you.
Definitely. Will start on it soon. Though I don't really know when that is since our school term just began. Spent this week at the orientation camp. =D
By the way, I'm working on a review for the Toradora OP single, and just need to ask a few things. First is a description problem. Is there any term to describe the erm... beep and bloop sounds that we generally associate with old video games? Because the instrumental of the OP song is mostly made up of those 'beeps' but I have no idea what they're called.
The other is a rating problem. Should the rating be dropped if I feel that the song will get boring quickly?

Yea, I only got an impression of American ones. Well, some really gave me a terrible image of the country. One which I remember was supposedly a motivational film about a young boy, yet the whole time the mum is having an affair (ok fine, one may see it as love) with his teacher.
But from your description, I'm starting to think the US will definitely be worth finding out more of. Now the only question is, when do I go there... Oh, one more thing, any suggestions as to where I should go? =D
I don't read most of Reader's Digest's stories either. Most are too long or naggy. I tend to skim for only the shorter articles and jokes. Though nowadays the jokes from the Asian version aren't as funny.. >.<
Just a random question, do you listen to much of Takanashi Yasuharu? Haha if not, I really want to promote some of his works. Hm... personally I really love traditional sounding stuff, and from all those I've heard by far, he's a master at it. Really liked Naruto Shippuden and Terra e's OST. Mononoke is more eerie and slow but still decent nonetheless. =D One thing that's very distinctive is how he mixes traditional instruments with drums and guitar, most prominent in Naruto Shippuden. ^=^

Oh good point... I forgot how large US is... Haha lived here for too long, where traveling from one end of the country to another takes an hour, by car. xD
Oops sorry, didn't mean it in such a way. More of wondering if these images we get are reliable or not.
Still, I do plan to go to US to take a look. =D I know I had such a good impression of England because I visited it and liked what I saw.
I can't read science magazines usually. Well, short articles in Reader's Digest are perfectly fine, but a whole magazine of it will kill me. >.<

Oh, so you're thinking of studying overseas? Out of curiosity, where do you plan to go? Hehe... I'm also probably doing university overseas, though currently I'm not sure whether England or US will be a better choice. Well for finance, technically US is way better. However, I sometimes feel that US may just be too 'liberal' for me. All the stuff like gun ownership, premarital sex etc just don't seem right to me. (Hope you're not upset by me saying this)
I hardly feel sleepy once I'm up, so that won't be an indication. I normally read right till the middle before I can decide. Nowadays, I'm generally reduced to reading magazine articles (proper ones like TIMES, improper ones like cooking magazines) because they're shorter. xD
For me, I just noticed when I listened to some seiyuu songs. Some of the guys' ones weren't far off from horrendous.

Oh, you went overseas this new year? =D Sounds fun! Though I agree, the plane ride is usually the worst... You just sit and rot for hours
I'm guessing that you must really enjoy reading. ^=^ I'm just too impatient for books sometimes, because you normally must get past the first half without understanding much, and you'll only discover whether the book is nice when you're more than halfway through. >.<
True... Whoa, which means people like Maaya Sakamoto and Mizuki Nana must be really busy, doing both... Random thought though, for most seiyuu songs, girls tend to sing better than guys. XD
Haha okie! I'll try to stick through opening and ending songs. But one thing is that well, OP/EDsongs can be a matter of taste. Just like when I first heard the Natsume ending, I didn't like it. And some singers' voice are seriously an acquired taste *cough* Suga Shikao *cough*

i've heard most of the tracks in the album already. many are wonderful, but there're a few that are kinda weird. the one i remembered is by masaaki endoh. a bit too crazy xD (i had a very deep impression of him ever since hearing a disturbingly funny version of sorairo days by him)
yeap, most glasses guy tend to be smart. though in anime, there seems to many guys with specs, but very few girls... though i don't deny, some anime girls can be very stupid...
i guess i won't mind so much if it was dealt with maturely and doesn't feel forced. still, i'd only watch them if i'm very bored or curious.
some seiyuu songs can be good, but those are rare. i always wonder why they just don't sound as good as professional singers. is it because their singing just isn't as good, or is it the lack of editing? xD
for the second opening, i just find the opening very weird, so i always skip it... the ending was pretty good, but i just never got around to listening to it. >.<

Haha I like a few oddballs here and there. It makes it entertaining. xD And when I listened to touch form RxJ, I recognized it at last. It's only that my tracklist translated it as 'contact'. That has to be one of my favourite tracks from RxJ, probably alongside Vigor, Recapture and Flight. (I think the title of your tracks will be different, but hopefully the meaning is similar) But I just have too many memorable tracks from RxJ that I can ramble on and on...
Just went through some tracks in the 2 albums, and I really like the mix of composers! =D Many of those I'm familiar with and those I've been interested in. I've been meaning to hear some of Shirou Sagisu's and Iwasaki Taku's (not-too-weird) works. ^=^ The track from Clannad really brought back loads of memories from the series. =)
Yea. I noticed most clubs tend to be very static... Which is why I've lost the habit of keeping up with clubs long ago. xD
That is kinda strange lol.... I happen to be one of those who tend to go for specs character (birds of a feather flock together I guess...) But headphones.... I have never even noticed such characters... Except maybe erm... Ikari Shinji (at least, I think that's his name) from Evangelion. xD
I'm surprised you still keep up with BL and yuri... I cut all ties with BL after 2 of them, and never even ventured into the yuri side... Aoi Hana did tempt me a tiny bit after the soundtrack, but I decided to not destroy the whole image of the soundtrack by watching something I know I'd hate... xD
I noticed the weird stuff in Natsume when listening to it. The one which left the deepest impression was the mosquito buzzing one. xD I've just read your review and must comment that you've gone very easy on the song by Natsume's voice actor. When I heard the introduction of that track, I prepared myself for another relaxing track, until the voice gave me something equivalent of an electric shock... >.>
Though I personally never really liked any of the Natsume Yuujinchou's opening nor ending themes. (Especially the second season's opening. Just couldn't get myself to listen to it) After reading your review on Kizuna, I guess it's time to give them another go. Or at least, give the 2 ending themes another chance. =D

Just read the post and already started downloading the 2 disks. I always like listening to compilation albums because it is way faster than going through a whole sonudtrack or album for just a few tracks I like. ^=^ (but just a thought: RxJ had a track called touch in it? I'm quite sure I haven't seen that)
Hehe suddenly I feel so tempted to join the club and make a few of my own recommendations. xD Oh, one other random comment: I love the pictures you use in the 3 posts. ^=^
I remember watching my first 'strictly BL' anime, and went through the whole anime waiting for a 'story' to start. I just didn't register the fact that the random flirting was meant to be the story...
Oh btw, I just read your comment on my blog. Haha frankly, I never even suspected that Natsume Yuujinchou and Baccano had the same composer. I did skim through Natsume Yuujinchou OST, but didn't assiciate it with Baccano in any way. xD Time to give Natsume Yuujinchou OST a proper listen then =D

I see. Your job right now sounds very tough as it is. Because I get the impression you'll really need attention to detail. >.< Best of luck in attaining a higher degree ^=^
Haha I dare to voice my 'radical' opinions on Animeinstrumentality because well... the people there are civil.
I really enjoyed reading the first 2 posts so far! ^=^ Though actually, being very new to the anime scene, I don't know about any of the animes you've mentioned... Still, I agree Horie Yui did pretty well on that song. (Was kinda surprised since I expected something very childish sounding) But the best part of that song to me will still be slow ballad like piano-cello opening xD
Haha sadly my opinion of Do As Infinity can't be more different. Ok, I agree with soothing, but I've never had a case of no-memory-of-individual-tracks that's as bad as with theirs >.<
Suddenly I find myself trying to reflect back on when I just started animes, but I have nothing much pleasant to remember. The first anime I watched where I gave attention to it's soundtrack was D.Gray-Man, which turned out terrible. Then it was followed by a whole load of unwise choices in other animes (mostly due to the fact I didn't know what ecchi and BL meant) xD
Whee yay! xD I feel my conscience nudging me to finish my review... =D

Out of curiosity, what do you work as? =D
I didn't like Madlax partly because her usual magic seems to feel missing from the many chanting pieces... I put the blame on Yuuka xD Somehow I feel that Yuuka is the worst of her FictionJunction vocalists. >.< (Though I'll likely get bombed by her many fans should I try to voice it out)
Eh really? Hm.... Ok, maybe it's a matter of taste then. The tracks I've heard are mostly those electric guitar sorts, which frankly sounds like just noise... >.<
Whoa! A whole decade? That sure is a tall order. But what are judging them based on? And just as sidenote: don't bite off more than you can chew! xD You must take breaks very now and then too!
Btw, I've finally got around to listening to Arete Hime's OST. You're absolutely right, it is fantastic. It's almost like a compilation of the best which other soundtracks have: Spice and Wolf's folk-ish theme, Red Garden's wonderful vocals, and Aoi Hana's slow and moving melodies. I just love the vocals. ^=^ (haven't found out who the vocalist if though...)

We have an End-Of-Year holiday which lasts from mid-Nov to the start of Jan. (It's summer all year round here so summer/winter holidays have no meaning to us) xD
Btw, I listened to some tracks from Mai-Hime. You are right, it is pretty good. ^=^ I kinda like the surreal feeling I get from it.
I tried listening to Death Note on it's own. I can't get past a few tracks. It sounds very repetitive and frankly, I thought those orchestral pieces would be out of place in the anime.
Wise choice! Haha that's true with a number of songs I have too, where I like the structure of the music and instrumentals, but not the vocals...

And how could I have forgotten the exemplary work of Nakatsuru and Kobayashi et al over the years. *facepalms* I've always been impressed by their work whether is it the Ace Combat series or the Soul series. I've only had the chance to listen to the AC5 OST properly though, and we would both agree that was all kinds of awesome. 15 Years Ago is a great arrange that never fails to bring out the melancholy in me, if I had to pick out a standout track. To think I just downloaded that soundtrack on a single whim only to uncover a treasure trove. Just tried out Zero, and wow can I say flamenco of death in the air? I should somehow get the rest of this music. All that said though, I can't play the games at all due to not having any console. =(
Well, whenever Orito gets his next musical outing, I'll still be looking out for him nonetheless, since I thought that he did relatively well in the areas that he was assigned in Clannad.

Haha I really want to find more good composers but now that my holiday's ending, don't think I'll have much time to next year. >.< (Why do holidays always pass faster than school term?!)
It seems pretty interesting! I went to see the opening, and you're right, it's very pleasant and relaxing. However, I feel that this is one of those tracks which will go well with an anime, but if I had listened to it among a whole album, it wouldn't have stood out.
Speaking of dreamy voices, have you heard Ayaka Hirahara? I found a few of her songs recently and find myself enthralled by her voice ^=^
Something tells me I'm better off just sticking to Spice and Wolf's soundtrack. Sometimes a composer who really impressed me with one work only disappoints me the more I listen. One such one is the Ouran High School Host Club's composer.
Haha there are actually 2 singers right? I don't know which is worse. One who sounds like a kid gasping for air or the other whose voice suits the song a bit more but goes noticeably off tune...
