| It was a good episode. I just hope the supernatural part of this anime isn't cliched...it's brilliant so far. It reminds me a little of Elfen Lied now :) |

| The Ayu flashback was really cute, I already love her. ^_^ So, they apparently ended with practically the same thing as the last episode... Well, I hope they will continue with that part in the next episode, since I wanna know if Yuuichi will be chopped into pieces. (Well, probably not, he has to survive for another twenty episodes but well...) |

| Annoying girl + annoying girl = irritating Anyway, the last scene, although seemingly from a completely different series, added some anticipation on this so far incredibly boring "story", if you can even call it that, given that nothing even happened after 4 episodes. I seriously hope that this Mai girl brings something interesting to the series, otherwise I'm gonna punch everyone that recommended this to me. |
| oh yeah the ~uguu~ and the ~auuu~ girls had an epic encounter :) anyway i like how this anime keeps getting better and better by each episode :D what's with the samurai chick at the end anyway?why do i have the feeling that she wil have a vital role in this series? i guess i'll find out tomorrow :p PS:if this keeps going like that,it will beat Air easly...even though it will not beat Clannad(you can't beat perfection you know) i have my hopes that it will be as good as clannad anyway :p |

| Once again a nice episode! Some differences with the 2002 version: In the beginning Ayu says Taiyaki is her favorite food though in the 02V Yuuichi made her eat it and so it became her favorite food, imo it's sad they changed that fact as it was more a connection/hint for later on in the anime! And other than having Yuuichi packing his moving boxes out directly he did it this episode with Ayu and Makoto. He also didn't found the red hair diadem so I wonder how he'll later use as fragment for Ayu. But the ending was quite much the same and imo it would have been better if that was the first time Yuuichi met Mai, this encounter as Yuuichi already met Mai it will probably give another feeling towards that person than it had in the 2002 Version. Either way great episode! On some points I preferred the 2002 Version story wise but this version is defiantly great as well! |

| lol what the fuck was up with the last minute or so of this episode. I have a feeling this is gonna turn into one of those anime where the school may seem all normal but at night demons roam the school and that sword chick is like the protector... that or she is an actress in a club and WAYYY too committed to her role. |

| Am I the only one who noticed Akiko-san's reaction to hearing Ayu's name? That alone made me freak out and want to know what is her story! Also, was Makoto just scared of meeting other people (why she had a blanket on when we first met her) or does Ayu remind her of something? Ah! I am so fully invested in Kanon(2006) now... Now for some screens, since nobody else has (all these years later):^_^ Uguu ~ they are adorable! Ayu, you are ridiculous Taiyaki makes everybody happy! Ooh, Mai is going to be an exciting character! |

However, Kanon 2006 can come close to Clannad in terms of greatness. As for this episode 5/5. I feel as if Mai knows something Yuiichi doesn't. She's so mysterious, and to me those type of people tend to know a lot of hidden information. |

| The ending made me go wtf again. I wonder what's that dream in the beginning she's (who is she?) talking about. It must be related to the scene at the very beginning. Nayuki seem to have experianced a near death situation. There seem to be some kind of connection between Ayu and Makoto. Ayu is adorable, but she seem too young to be Yuuichi age. Makoto fail to scare Yuuichi, she's so dumb. It seem that I was wrong in my post on the last episode, the only reason she changed hand when the finger promise happened, it was just because she was going with her wrong hand. Mai is now a demon hunter... The fuck, I wasn't expecting that xD |

| Slightly disappointed by the taiyaki scene when Ayu and Yuuichi were young. Having watched the 2002 version first, the reason why Ayu liked taiyaki so much was because Yuuichi bought it willingly for her, and not due to her requesting for it. Sigh... Personally liked this episode best out of the four so far, despite complaining above. Especially notable would be the development between Ayu and Makoto, something new to be introduced which is non-existent in the 2002 version. I have always noticed their similarities, and I am rather disappointed that the 2002 version did not make then close at all (well, one reason was due to lack of time, 13 episodes are simply impossible to end out nice for a drama-heavy Kanon).
