for every 40 naru points, you can get a xinil point.
Get 1,000,000 Xinil points and he will change one line of coding for you.

Lies. It goes only up to 999,999 points. I've been tricked like that once when trying to purchase a Bike back in Kanto. Mean people... and small budget.

Hmm 311526 years 6 months for one line of coding.

More on topic, I'm thinking D-1 is the hardest to answer. I mean, even buying all the volumes of the series and counting them isn't a foolproof method...

Well there's 50 active modes and 66 retired mods, so the question is - are retired mods granted a pension? So if all 116 mods join their points together, it will be only 2685 years and 7 months. Besides, separately they wouldn't hit the 1,000,000 xinil points limit. Still it's too long.
Are different mod positions granted a different amount of points? In particular, how much kineta points does Kineta has? Maybe if her salary is considerably higher, we'd be able to achieve a total of 1,000,000 xinil points much faster.
Or we need a lot of mods, like a thousand, then it would take only 311 years and 6 months

Technically, I think there were more mods involved in that off-topic discussion than users... *cough* But if it's not disrupting users being able to ask questions in the thread, I don't think there's much harm it. It's nice to have a little mod-user interaction without purpose.

That being said, if y'all take this as an excuse to spam my announcement thread, expect to be deducted Kineta points!

UPDATE EMANON PLEASE

I've heard the requests to update and change Sasurai Emanon were made multiple times already, but none were accepted. Truth be told, I don't know why. The Mods are sure that the manga has finished, but quite a lot of other sites state differently.

Manga-Updates claim that the second volume of the series is still on-going.
Mangago has the 18th chapter released, while MAL's database tells that the series have finished publishing with 17 chapters in total.
Batoto tends to hit the same story, with 18 chapters released in total.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure you'll gain more if you post this sort of issues in the Manga DB sub-forum. The request might get rejected, but hey, at least you tried.

@subpyro: who cares about ENGLISH manga reading sites, they just copied what's on mu. Besides, you, like the rest of the people, counted it wrong that's why you get the wrong chapter count...

It would seem there is a slight misunderstanding here. While Manga-Updates has posted the information and the series' apparent status, Mangago and Batoto aren't databases. They actually release chapters that you are able to read. On both, 18 chapters are released overall. I just went through it again, and I highly doubt I'm unable to count to 18...

Let's go through it together, by taking Batoto for example:

Volume 1 includes 8 chapters overall, with the whole volume being translated by a group called Gantz_Waitingroom.
Volume 2 includes 10 chapters overall, with the whole volume being translated by a group called Japanzai.

8 + 10 = 18, or so was the last time I checked.

I'll feel really silly if I'm not correct over here, but how can there be less original Japanese releases than translated English releases? There doesn't appear to be much logic behind that. Still, it's a rather interesting case that seems easy to get right, yet the Manga DB moderating team seems to disagree. Please, do explain your reasoning more, even via PM if this thread isn't a suitable place for that.

I want to get to the bottom of this! xD

Edit: Never-mind, it would seem MAL's database has the original split from '67, '73, and '80 in different entries. As long as they are all covered, there is no issue, other than the one of orientation (as you've said, I doubt this will be the last problem reporting at-hand for this specific case). I'd make it more visible that the styles are split, but the sorting is okay the way it is after you understand it.

Is not recommended to submit a webtoon since is most likely that it won't pass.
There are tons of new manga every month and around 90% of them aren't translated so there's even a lower chance that someone will submit it on MAL.
Well GL anyway.

Yes. All applicants will receive solutions to their submitted applications and a final verdict - so that even those who are not chosen will hopefully understand the Manga DB better after the process.

Rather than think of things you've read - or which already have some chapters scanlated - why not think of things which aren't? I shouldn't even be giving you this hint!

In the end, the A Part of this recruitment helps the database already. I wonder just how many new titles will be added as a side-effect of a bigger purpose - finding "the ones".

Only a few more days left! If you're interested in the position, don't let the questions scare you and give it your best shot. Just because you can't answer all of svaax's sadistic date questions in Part D doesn't mean you aren't capable of being a manga mod. This just gives us a gauge of your knowledge level and searching abilities coming into the position - and is a great way for you to already get some experience.

So if you're thinking, "I'm not good enough and don't want to submit an application of wrong answers", give it a shot anyway. However, if you're thinking, "I don't find this test interesting at all", well... then hunting information and being nitpicky about entries probably isn't your thing.
