The awesome duo returns~!! FUCK YEAH!!! Fuckin Togashi trolled me I thought Leorio was gonna recommend Gon for sure.

Nice to see Ging finally showing off his combat potential, he's definitely Gon's father. I thought he was an emission user for the longest time thanks to Togashi trolling. http://imgur.com/NwO8tEu

It's interesting that Cheadle will instruct Leorio to develop his medical nen abilities.
Let's not forget St. Bika Norton Virus Hunter who were among the
top 16 voted during the Hunter election. Knowing Togashi, I wouldn't be surprised if she was actually Gon's mother. She has the same eyes, and is featured on the same page as Ging. Longshot, but you never know. http://i.imgur.com/1LTxkd5.png

Also back in 2012 I made http://imgur.com/a/8Mefa to illustrate how Kurapika was going down the path of vengeance alone, so that he won't risk his friends dying for him. (Like in the YorkShin arc) Since Linssen is there as Kurapika's underling we can safely assume that Kurapika has taken over the Nostrade clan somehow.

The more I read about Pariston, the more convinced I am that he is a manipulation specialist. What if he was able to control 5000 chimera soldiers? http://i.minus.com/iRDzFLVf1zaHX.png
Imagine if they were all at Palm's level, holy shit! http://i.minus.com/iEiEqnvsnrfUM.jpg

Wait! Cheadle is a guy?! Dammit Togashi! Why must you do this to me?!

Anyway, lots of information still coming to us. Leorio becoming a Zodiac, Paristion revealing himself to be one creepy f**k and it looks like Kurapika has left Nostarde's bodyguards to do his own thing. So much ingredients ready for awesomeness.

Oh yeah, and Ging looks like he was gonna beat up Popeye, the Sailor Man.

Okay, this chapter surprised me so much. I was thinking that the M.Cs would not appear lol

I think it would be so perfect if Togashi put Phantom Troupe and Zoldycks here too >< They appear in every single arc.

And now will be Gon/Kite and Killua/Alluka ? LOL

I really want to know about the last chain that Kurapika didn't show yet... And is just me or he looks like an asshole now? He's being so cold with Leorio/Mizaistom. What could have happened? Maybe Ryodan? Ha ha.

And... OMG, Pariston is scary '-'

Summary of chapter by user amoham10 on mangastream:

amoham10 said:
The current chairmen of the Hunter Association, Cheadle, has asked Leerio to join The Zodiacs. She mentioned how Leerio has the greatest image out of all the other Zodiacs. If you don't recall, Leerio came 2nd, losing to Pariston in becoming the 13th chairmen of the Hunter Association. Pariston gave up his title to Cheadle because he didn't care enough. Leerio has more support than Cheadle herself and so recruiting him is essential because it solidifies Cheadle's influence as chairman.

The problem is currently Leerio is in medical school and if he was to join the journey to The Dark Continent, he would have to suspend all his studies. Cheadle mentions with her power she contacted the school and they made exceptions that would allow Leerio to study abroad indefinitely. Cheadle would be the head medical professor and made the assertion that depending on Leerio's ability, he could gain practical hands on experience which would lessen his time in becoming a doctor. Leerio accepts because The Dark Continent which is filled with disease and harsh conditions would be perfect place to practice his medical training. Leerio also accepts because he knows in some way shape or form Gon will want to explore the Dark Continent and so before that happens, he needs to improve his medical knowledge in case Gon gets injured. Leerio accepts but he asks one more person to join the Zodiac.

Back to Ging and Pariston. Ging asks Pariston why he would even make the proposition of sending the chimera ant soldiers to the human world. Ging explains that the V5 accepted the expedition, if high ranking government officials worked with the country of Kakin. This was a problem. The civilians of Kakin were restless and felt that only a few of them would be offered to go to the expedition and believed wait times would increase. The notion of unbridled adventure and freedom to explore, now felt more systematic because officials don't care about adventure but gaining a benefit from the expedition. Pariston then mentions two things, one that he felt the organization became too boring or rather too much of a puppet with V5 controlling them to such an extent. And two that he planned to let Beyond enter The Dark Continent, use a foreign alternative route and declare that Beyond is being hunted (the way the original Hunter Association would have done it). Ging then tells Pariston he is not "bored" but rather dissatisfied with The Hunter Association. He believes the current members aren't up to scratch and wants new members in the Hunter Association. If Cheadle could adjust the Hunter Exam to make it more easier for Pariston's flunkies and connections, then all of is party could join The Hunter Association. This would allow Pariston to not be bored with the Hunter Association and have feeling the association would reverting back to when Netero was Chairmen. Pariston knows that the Hunter Association is too busy with The Dark Continent and V5 and so having the 5000 chimera ant soldiers attack the world would be too much of a hassle to take care of. Cheadle would be forced to negotiate.

A thug is aggravated with Ging's attitude and wants to fight him. Ging quickly grabs him and then created realistic frightening illusion of him bashing his head in with his fist. The member is so frightened he can't say a word, clearly Ging is on another level. He then asks for the highest ranked person here and he makes the realization it is this girl sitting down in the corner. Pariston laughs and says that Ging is looking down on him, that he is the 2nd highest ranked person there. Ging then states that he is much more powerful than Pariston. Pariston just smiles and with that Ging makes the declaration he is the number two person in the room.

Mizaistom finds where Kurapika is located. He enters a room with people associated with Kurapica and asks if he can talk with him. He is told to leave by the secretary but he refuses, Three guys try to attack him but he raises a card, yells "restraint" and all three guys are frozen. From the looks of it he created some kind of barrier around the three guys.....maybe he can control barriers using cards? The secretary is surprised and says he will call Kurapica. Kurapica arrives and asks for Mizaistom's business. Mizaistom explains that Leerio has asked the chairman that Kurapica joins the Zodiac. Kurapica refuses and Mizaistom follows by saying that he knows that Kurapika is looking for the murderers of his comrades from the Kurta Clan. Kurapica activates his nen and is fully ready to fight Mizaistom if doesn't choose his next words carefully. Mizaistom tells him they know the person who is the owner of the Kurta Clan's eyes during the Yorksnew City arc. Kurapica is surprised because he has been searching for months on end for the owner but with no leads. He then deducts that would mean if he joined the expedition, that he would be riding in the same boat as the owner of the Kurata eyes. Mizaistom confirms his assertion and Kurapica swiftly accepts to join the Zodiac. Mizaistom then drops a bombshell by saying the owner of the Kurta Clan's eyes is the current Fourth prince of Kakin, Tseridonich Hoicoro.

*My prediction in a time skip was completely dashed in one chapter. I predict next chapter Killua and Gon will some how be in the fray and join the expedition. Gon and Killua already have prestige in that they were one of the hunters who accepted to take out the chimera ants.
-I will say that I am very surprised that Leerio is going. Other than the warp punch he did on Ging, he hasn't shown too much in amplifying his nen abilities. Add to the fact he has been studying this entire time and it is fair to say Gon, Killua and Kurapica are leagues ahead of him in fighting power. Unless Leerio is only there for medical training, he will be completely reliant on the Zodiac.
-Kurapica made a vow to never use his nen abilities outside of fighting the Spider. Which means he can still use his abilities and nen but it won't be as powerful. Therefore Kurapica as well will be somewhat reliant on the Zodiac.
-Killua is travelling the world with Alluka, protecting him. He should have gone through many battles in protecting his little brother from individuals who wish to use Alluka's power.... primarily Illumi. I expect Killua to be much more powerful and having even more mastery of God's Speed.
-For Gon I really have no idea where he is or what he is doing. Maybe training with Biscuit again? Possibly training by himself using what Ging taught him perhaps?

Damn, Ging.

So glad to see Leorio and Kurapica again. Looks like we will finally get to see some decent growth from Leorio. I still think it's weird that he was accepted into the zodiacs. I can't believe he was accepted solely on the premise of popularity and a need for medics on the DC ship (surely there are enough hunter medics out there...?). Makes me think Cheadle has something planned for him.

I'm curious as to what happened to Kurapica in the time we didn't see him (he's become such a badass... and he looks good in a suit.). It looks like he took over Nostrade (seeing as Linssen is there). Does this mean we get to see Melody again? :D
Kurapica vs. Kakin's 4th prince... in the future... maybe?

Others have said it before: I'd be perfectly happy if Gon and Killua sit out on this arc.

All I gotta say is: re-read Yorkshin. Only Judgement chain and Jail chain are limited to the Spider Troupe; he has access to Dowsing chain and Holy chain still; and one chain that has yet to be revealed.

Also Kurapika was already pretty strong with Emperor Time, it's just that he won't have an overwhelmingly one-sided match-up (Kurapika:Ryodan) when going into the Dark Continent.

I wonder if Gon and Killua will join Ging and everybody after a time skip or something. Maybe in a year they can get on one of those black whale transports and head over to the DC if they wont be included in the beginning of the arc.

Man, you never know how much you miss a character until they return after a long absence like this. So, excuse me while I fanboy a bit: OH FUCK YES KURAPIKA MOTHERFUCKERS!

I'm totally excited for this arc now, god damn. He's got a cool look now as well, and he's the boss of this crew? I guess he left Neon and her father then? I guess that explains why he wasn't with Melody in the Election arc.

Would anyone be mad if this was just a Kurapika and Leorio arc? I wouldn't.

Edit: I see what TonyTonyStark meant when she said she found it funny that Kurapika and Leorio were removed from MC status a week or so ago.

Still not entirely sure how I feel about Kite being reborn, btw. The part that generally thinks characters that are dead should stay dead doesn't like it, but the other part of me wants to see what Togashi does with him (her?). I did like that scene between him and Koala a few chapters back, though.

Well I find it to be one of my favorite plot twists, I do 't view any ant being reborn as the same, just a new person with memories of the old one. So kite, as kite, is dead.

But to have the twin of Meruem be planned all along to be kite's memory vessel so to speak, was amusing.

Besides, everyone else stays dead so it's not like a cheat-on-death kind of situation, but more of a decision for a certain plot in the future

Yeah, it's not a completely out of left field type of thing. We've seen Ants like Welfin retain memories and so on, so it's not as though there wasn't a precedent. I think what mostly bothers me is that Gon, in the admittedly few scenes he's been since being healed, feels like he hasn't changed and I think Kite coming back may have been something to do with that. I've said it before, but I really liked the direction Gon's character took in CA and, if he's really back to normal, that's kind of disappointing to me. Again, though, he hasn't done much since his being healed so I could be completely wrong.

Granted, I don't think he should always be brooding like he was through out Chimera Ant. I just don't think I'm entirely happy with how the Kite thing was handled, I guess. Tough to explain, especially without knowing where Togashi will go with these characters.

Btw, I wonder if there is any chance what so ever that Gyro is at the Dark Continent? I can't remember if it was stated where he was going.

Well Gon's character was above all unstable, and what's done in the ca was the accumulation of him building up rage against pitou, so now he's kind of over it IMO,.
but he's still changed a bit overall, you can see it in his apology to Killua, and he can't undo what he did to pitou, so, that will always live with him.

One thing I find interesting is that we don't know anything about the state of Gon's nen. I doubt he lost it, because I can't imagine Killua leaving him if his nen hasn't returned but, then again, he went straight to Ging after they separated. But, if it hasn't returned I wonder how he could ever be involved in this arc?

Probably, but the thing is we haven't been told if he does or not. I think he does, because the "turn him back to normal" line that Kaimon brought up implies, to me, that he has his nen and everything. Still, maybe Togashi doesn't know yet what he is going to do with Gon and is going to shelf him for this arc? Then again, who knows? He could be back next chapter or whatever.

I believe the exact line was something like "turn him back to how he was before he did that" or something like that, so i think he has just reverted, therefore would have nen. But who knows, i dont know what translation that was from could've been bad.

If gon didnt have nen that would be lame though.

He got his nen back.
Even if it not "official" yet. That's the only conclusion.
It seems many people mistaken about this.
When Gon said he sacrifice everything(use his Nen for that time only), it's refers to "he will pay by Nen", what we must take into account is that Gon not "go into Zetsu state" rather "his Nen will haunt him back to pay that ability", That's why there is a talk about "Nen Remover".

Nen is the ability to control aura and every human emitting aura. It's similar just like riding a Bicycle. What Gon lost is not "how to ride a bicycle", but his "leg" or healthy to do so.

I wouldn't be surprised if we stick with Kurapika, Leorio, and Ging for at least the set up of the arc. It would allow the series to get back to its roots and to balance the page-time among the main four. This really should be Leorio's time to shine as well, so I'm glad we're finally getting him a bit more front and center (as much as I love Kurapika).

And OMG, the art. Hello, combination of altered style and old detail. Glorious!

This will be an apocalypse arc.
It's like chimera was just the start.
Knowing how insane and strong the king was just imagine what they'll find in his home world.

Great chapter! Things are picking up now, so it seems Leorio and Kurapika will be the main characters in this arc. Gon and Killua can take a rest from this arc, I'm tired of their bromance relationship anyways. So the prince of Kakin has some scarlet eyes in his position. Yes! We finally getting back into Kurapika story, his story is the most interesting one for me.

Also Pariston is such a f** up dude, overall 4/5.
