Hmm.. I feel pretty heartless right now. ..

I've read Deep Love Ayu no Monogatari, Forever Honey, Bitter Virgin, Socrates in Love, Eien no With, Boys Next Door, Fruits Basket, Kagen no Tsuki, ParaKiss and The Demon Ororon. And I haven't shed a tear in any of them. I was pretty far off from crying..

The saddest manga I've read from those above, had to be Eien no With. I'm a sucker for animals, especially dogs. Closest I was ever to crying. But I still didn't cry.

I'd have to say Chrno Crusade and Bitter Virgin. They didn't make me cry, but it was definitely an emotional high.

Probably Voices of a Distant Star. The manga adaption of Shinkai's classic was brilliant.
Though, oddly i was sad at the end of Azumanga Daioh. But purely just because it was over, and it was such a beautifull, happy ending.

All you guys are pussies. I laughed when that bitch died in Deep Love. Stupid Whore deserved it. I've read Bitter Virgin too, which also wasn't really sad. I felt that the more light-hearted/comical scenes detracted from the sadness that was supposed to be felt.

And I know it's not really a manga, but the visual novel Kana: Little Sister made me somewhat sad although the ending(s) are predictable in some cases. So far Kana has been sadder than any manga or anime I have seen.

Elfen Lied. The saddest manga, hands down.

No, I thought School Days had a pretty good ending, at least in the anime.
To tell the truth School Days pissed me off until the very last episode, it was quite satisfying in the end though.

And I have to agree, Elfen Lied is very sad. Lucy has to be the most well developed tragic character ever.

Tokyo Babylon (thirded!) First, I cried for Subaru.. a few years later, I cried for Seishiro. Perhaps Hokuto's turn is next? Even the little blurb in the artbook is depressing. Something about how these photos are of people who no longer exist in this world and they'd like to remember them as they were.. I don't quite remember what it was, but it was SAD.

I think the one shot Hotarubi no Mori E is the saddest.
The first story is pretty sad but the second one had me crying and the third story too.

I read it 3 times and I've cried all three times. x3 It's really touching!
If you want to cry I would suggest reading that one shot.

Full moon wo sagashite all the way.

I sobbed.
Once man realizes that he does not truly know anything is when the world will open up to him and bestow upon him the wonders of reality and perpetual bliss. For humility is the most vital nutrient the soul needs to thrive and blossom.

Socrates in Love - Let me tell ya, I'm not easy to cry. There have been only 1 anime and 2 manga that have made cry and this is one of them. This was such a heart breaker. You know what happens in the end cause they tell you in the first chapter but still managed to make me cry. A surprising thing though is that I cried on the 1st re-read as well. Usually impact is lost when re-reading it.

You meen the most Traumatizing, manga that left me emotionally scared for life?
Thats easy, with out a doubt, the saddest Manga I've ever read has to be "Nana".
However, the first time I read it, I didn't realize how sad it was because I was so confused.
It had been so long since I first started reading Nana, I had forgotten a lot of things that happen early on which explain stuff that happens latter. So after a while I started having a hard time following the story. .
Originally I blamed the Mangaka, assuming she forgot what had already happened, and what had not happened yet in the story. It seemed almost like, there were completely different people that had taken over for the mangaka and continued writing chapters with out reading the story first.
Turns out I was the one forgetting things. When I started reading it the 2nd time, everything made perfect sense. I had misunderstood so much of what happened the 1st time, it was like a totally different story the 2nd time.
