| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, that was kinda interesting with the teamwork. Yet, this war seems a bit dragged. HOLY SHIT, did they use Season 1's OST? Awesome. I really miss it. I think the one used was this which is one of my favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMHcb4XWXzA Kouen might of been a bit reckless though this episode. Alibaba was awesome though and I'm glad he's using what he's learned from his training to use. |

| He called out everyone's jins(?) so that they can explain about that black sphere thing in that situation for him. Wow, that leader guy is scary, but is keen to know about the another world. The same dark monsters are released from the sphere. It's time for everyone to gather and fight. Hino-san's character doesn't have much action (more of explanation guy). Somehow the whole scene when that guy fight and "call" Alibaba" to fight along to shorten the time makes me laugh. Alibaba finally destroyed the sphere? 5:30 next ep. |

| The music was too quiet on some scenes, it was so weird. It really felt out of place, so sad for this episode. Bad work indeed, A-1. Hakuei is missing her scar (while not djinn equipped) though. One thing the manga needs to adopt :P |

| The most funniest parts of this episode were definitely created by kouen. Making the dijiins freak out when he was grabbing Aladdin and stomping on Alibaba when he was laying flat on the lava lol. |

| Did they actually stated the name of that thing as Ill Ilah in the manga during that arc? Because I think it was only recently in the manga that Ilah is revealed. Few funny moments. I lol when Kouen stomp Alibaba on the lava. If ya think Kouen is OP, wait till you see Sinbad goes serious. |

| Kinda disappointed how A-1 handled this episode, considering Sinbad v Koygyoku and Titus v Aladdin was animated beautifully. Though, episode was still goddamn epic. Nice to see the entire Kou siblings working together (besides Hakuyruu) Kouen using the earth's lava as a magoi source was genius, and that dual extreme magic combination was amazing. hoootie said: Imagine magi animated by ufotable.. Why ?! ^^ because anime and manga are different mediums . at the current pace one episode of magi contains 3-5 chapters of surprises if you count each chapter ending in cliffhanger or interesting surprises . you need to slow down to give emphasis to each events ... generate it with proper background/setting , add some smart filler , visualize epic manga drawings with proper or experimental animating treatment , add some interesting scenes ...etc... you really need some more episodes to give some solid impact of the story. otherwise people who don't read the manga really can't realize what they are missing . and for the hundredth time ... A1 butchered the potential of magi .... of what magi could have been ... |
| *Sigh* It's a shame the animation has become low quality during this war. It does follow the manga storyline alright, but it's the poor execution of action and tensed sequences that makes it a very flat experience to watch. We have all these amazing Djinn-equipped warriors but they often stand dead still midair, the black djinns are also in-animated. The Alibaba and Kouen teamup was a good scene though. Magi s2 did have many good episodes that gave extra entertainment value in terms of animation and direction. For example the exiting Sinbad vs Koukyoku and Aladdin vs Titus, the creative swordplay in Alibaba vs Toto and some really emotional monologues from Mogamett. The new episodes are just flat... I want to see the djinn equips in their full glory :'( Two episodes to go, make it count A-1. |

| I had a wide smile on my face when Kougyoku called him "Alibaba-chan". But overall I think it was a rather intense episode but since I haven't read the manga I have nothing to compare it to. But I can agree that the animation could have been better. It also is a shame that this fight against the medium just lasted this episode. |

| I'm a bit disappointed as well.. In the manga, it was like non stop action. I just kept clicking next page, next page, wanting more. Here, it's like 'yeah!!'... then a few seconds later, the excitement just dies. It's a good episode, don't get me wrong, but it needed more oomph, I guess. I also don't like the OST, I think the BGM is pretty damn shitty. |
