my first memory of watching anime was kenshin performing some Hiten Mitsurugi style ...after that having a cross scar by tomoe....

Hey I just read your Bloody Monday review which was good and I have just taken a quick look at your profile and we seem to have similar tastes so I was just wondering whether the Magi manga was worth reading because I was thinking about reading it and I have just finished the anime recently.

Sorry, I didn't really read into it yesterday since I was somewhat busy but looking at it now you might be on to something. If only those with a djinn of royal descent can become the ruler of the world, then Kouen and Alibaba wouldn't qualify any longer. Out of those 9 king djinn we have seen three already (Baal, Paimon and Zagan), meaning only Sinbad, Hakuryuu and his sister would qualify as potential kings of the world.
But then again, is that order absolute? And where does the president rank come into play? I like your thoughts on the matter but for now it's just guesses we can make. Interesting ones, mind you, but guesses nonetheless.

Agares being the second one and also one of Kouen's djinn is surely not a coincidence. Sinbad and Kouen are destined to clash at some point and something tells me that one part of the fight will be Baal vs Agares. Whether the rankings represent the respective djinn's strength I don't know but a certain importance is surely there.

I don't know I'm not very knowledgeable on that kind of stuff, but maybe since Sinbad's, Alibaba's, and Hakuei's are all in the first ten and then there are those newer ones. The numbers of the temples and the numbers of the djinns definitely match up, but I don't know much else.

Oh wow 2nd place, and Snk is 4th. I'm really proud of both of them; they shot out like weeds and kicked Naruto and other popular series in the face.
As for what you said about the anime plot being a disaster in comparison to the manga, I actually completely disagree! There are only a few episodes which are different, and in the end all of the important, required events still happened. Hakuryuu lost his arm and gained Zagan, the curse was removed, and Sindria was attacked. Yes it was done differently and I'm not sure why, but it really isn't a big deal!
Also, the second season of the anime looks as if it will be the following the manga plot, so you should give that a shot when it comes out. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I really.... really need to find thr time to read the Magi manga after seeing this list. I was shocked by a number of different series and there rankings. Was really happy to see Hunter x Hunter rated ahead of Naruto without releasing a single chapter or volume this year lol. I think the anime aspect has more to do with raising awareness and turning fans to the manga sometimes. Like I never heard of Magi until the anime came about.
One of these days I will pick up Magi, I just have some other issues on plate at the moment. I promised some friends of mine I'd get back to watching Slam Dunk since I haven't done so in like 2 months and also have the sudden interest to watch Katekyo Hitman Reborn so I'll try to make some time to start Magi since sometimes it is a lot easier to relax and read manga than sit down and plow through some episodes of anime.

And we all know how successfull Magi is, even though they pooted the anime in the end.

Just to warn, you may find some parts to suck or some to be good it all depends on your preferences but from I heard, Part 7 is literally the best part I haven't read it yet but I really want to, avoid spoilers at all cost.
