THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was so lame it was hilarious. xD Anyway, this OVA wasn't particularly good if you watch it as a standalone, but it shines if you watch it after Genshiken. It was just so much fun seeing what the main anime source of otakuness was all about, despite having absolutely no idea what the hell is happening (because you jump directly from the first episode to the 21st and 25th). Score as standalone: 3/10 Score after Genshiken: 7.5/10 Final score: 5/10 |

I agree that it was lame, but not that it was hilarious D: I watched the first two eps with my anime club, and they were insanely awesome: crazy dungeons & dragons monsters defeated by garlic breath, nazi commanders commiting suicide with airsoft guns (ROFLROFLROFL) etc, so I am very disappointed that the creators chose to sacrifice lulz on the altar of sappy lameness. Oh well, maybe it all makes sense as you watch it as a part of Genshiken :S |

JuicyBuddha said: eh, that wasn't really the last episode in-universe. If you liked it you should watch the other Kujibiki Unbalance (which is 13 eps iirc)I agree that it was lame, but not that it was hilarious D: I watched the first two eps with my anime club, and they were insanely awesome: crazy dungeons & dragons monsters defeated by garlic breath, nazi commanders commiting suicide with airsoft guns (ROFLROFLROFL) etc, so I am very disappointed that the creators chose to sacrifice lulz on the altar of sappy lameness. (It's important if you're watching it for Genshiken) |

It was a parody of the extremely non-sensically dramatic endings of common anime. |

Well not a bad ova series it was fun to see the actual series from Genshiken and see the full or at least part full story of it! Was quite a nice watch actually and I'm going to watch the second season! 6/10 |
