| Agreed with few fellas here. While watching, I felt something was off. I felt that there wasn't a coherent flow to it, but I wasn't sure what it was lacking. I only noticed that in the beginning of the episode, the song didn't sound quite epic enough to my ears, It sounded too soft and had anxious tone to it, not something I would have expected in a fight scene. My point is, the choice of song in this episode wasn't to my taste. I needed more epic, stronger, berserk feeling in it. Some times during the episode, they even used more of an idle theme which didn't sound just right to me - a piece where they often use in a scene where nothing happens or people just walking around anxiously, looking each other in the face, doing nothing. I am happy for those who enjoyed the episode wholeheartedly, I wish I could be among you, but my ears wouldn't allow it. LOL |

| I remember this in the manga. Rlly fucking cool how the author threw some MMA into the titan fight. I got rlly hyped for this ep more than others. I just wish the animation was as good as it was last season. |

All this needed was some Jim Ross commentary. "Eren is going for his finishing move... he's got it! He's got the Kyojin crossface locked in on Reiner! Reiner is trying to drag himself to the wall for a break, but can't make it! It's over for Reiner, it has to be! He looks like he's going to have to tap out! We're going to have new Wall Wresting Entertainment Champion tonight! Oh no, what's this... oh my God it's Berthold, he's... he's up on the top of the wall! He's going for the Titan Splash! Damn them! Damn them to hell!" |

Why wouldn't you want them to escape with Eren? Aren't you interesting in their motive? Where they came from etc? So you would rather they die without getting any answers? They dying would be the equivalent of Annie crystalizing from giving the viewers any answers. So ironically they dying would be another plot convenience, because that would just delay all the questions in the series. |

| Now that was some good shit. This season gets better and better by the weeks. Eren went all out to fuck up Reiner, at least with the help of the bae Mikasa. Them sasuga scenes were lit and that colossal titan just falling down on them was crazy. Can't wait for next episode! |

| I wouldn't say the cgi was great but the use of cgi made it possible to make really impressive shots with a rotating camera and such. CGI justified as far as I'm concerned.... The fight was amazing IMO, watched the second half of the episode twice |

The Reiner fight is probably my favourite part of the manga, where as the casual reveal and belated "...TRAITOR!" transformation deffo was not. The weird thing is it's the other way around for me in the anime. Wit absolutely nailed ep6; the beautifully tense new music adding significance and general attention to detail/skyporn making the reveal orgasmically epic. Ep7 however was just a good adaptation and no more. No new music, or anything to make the fight stand out aesthetically, and I don't think the the stop-start nature of the fight transferred very well. There were also a few 'off' faces/low detail shots and, animation-wise, it was not the 'BLOW ENTIRE BUDGET PLZ' ep I wanted. Didn't top ep21 of S1, that's for sure. The MMA moves, Annie vs. Mikasa harem woes and all were still great... but yeah: it felt like something was missing from the execution. That awful looking CG Colossus Titan didn't help matters. Glad the main fight wasn't CG but hate that they went for a cheaper option after the Colossus looked so amazing in S1. Meh. |

| CGI was noticeable, but it wasn't bad -- nor was it great. That animation bump this episode though, holy hell. I definitely liked the sensation of speed and urgency. Everything was on point this episode. |

| Finally watched the subbed version. This episode was amazing, an amazing adaptation. We got some great titan vs titan action along with some insane 3DMG scenes. Hats off to the animators. |

That's right, them escaping is definitely gonna move the plot forward, but I just don't see how they will kidnap him, just escaping fine, but taking Eren with them seems impossible to me. It's not really hard to stop someone from just taking you, especially if you are a titan, and how would they even escape with him, take him on their backs and run (as titans) or somehow as humans without letting him transform? If you add the situation they are in right now I just really don't see the possibility (I don't know the manga). They are probably gonna 'eat him' the way Annie did, Colossal's gonna knock down all the trees so noone can chase them with their gear and escape as titans. Or maybe Armored as titan and Colossal as human since he can't really run (that's why he took that 'random' (?) guy, to use his gear later to escape). Jesus I can't wait. lol, You will see. Can't really give you a proper reply without spoiling. |
