THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Now we have the fact that Uiharu is useless:

So Kihara is the main culprit who pushed the LVL6 experiments, which were the real reason why the child errors ended up in that experiment.
The children trying to wake up were the cause for the Poltergeist, so Haruue is safe for now?
Kiyama puts her children above everything ~~, let's see what will come out now with Telestina

Fun moments were nice, Kuroko's dream, Misaka's costume and Kiyama's preview xD
At this point I'm glad to have endured the boring episodes, this anime original story is good :3

I just looked at it fast since I have to go attend some conference of French farming but the music made things so emotional and the kids.... :( so sad. One thing....guys our wishes came true to ador Misaka's body! Feast and admire this=>
BTW what is up with that=>
did something bad happen to Misaka? I though all was solved at the end? Let's cut to the simple thing....Kihara's face should have been shown to all to find out he is nuts like from the first time we met him=>
The explanations were interesting themselves=>
particularly of level 6 but I am not buying the stinking crap about it....I mean for using children as a means to obtain the results for that level 6 thing then in Index you create clones as a means to avoid any problem when all know very well logically a clone is a human therefore they have no right in being guinea pigs as much right as animals/humans have, especially kids furthermore I remind myself this is best episode where Kiyama expresses her emotions at best of sadness, frustration and determination to still save the kids! I try to get smarter to talk about this and that's all I feel....I still say the BGM made it things better this time around. The atmosphere here was nice and ind of scary=>
was good too. No this will never work the way Misaka thinks it might=>
Misaka....always brave but she had more guts than I though in this part=>
Nice group picture....reminded of the little boy who thinks he can date Kiyama and the one who played tricks to her like water bucket to name one=>
Overall great episode about more explanations and Kiyama emotional feedback with of course nice fan service.

Cry me a river, Haruue! "I want to help her, but I can't do anything." Boo-fucking-hoo! She is so pathetic.

Uiharu's power is awesome. I mean, think of it! She can keep ice-cream from melting and maybe if her powers were super powerful she can keep the climate stable!

This episode was shit and it made me realize that they just use nice words to make everything sound special. The plot is as flat is Misaka's chest and not in a "DFC" way either. This series really went downhill when the fillers started.

Yeah this is what happens when people want to be FIRST! when they don't understand things completely. He even put it in a spoiler, what a complete fail.

Misaka is such a bitch though; let her save the children, gosh.

When the funny faced doctor mentioned about the start of lv.6 experiment, I'm guessing that it somehow resulted in Misaka's level 6 experiment in index. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well...in Index, the experiment was to let Accelerator kill a number of sisters to level up, but here it looks like they are trying to use a crystal or some sort. I don't think it's been confirmed whether or not these two events are connected. Maybe they tried this crystal method and failed, so they went on to the sister killing idea? Who knows, because it's not shown in the manga at all. It could just be a pile of BS fillers and the show goes off to a completely different direction. Making it parallel to the Index world...

I think the crushed mask at the end was to signify that Misaka has changed. I'm not too sure actually.

It was a pretty good episode, I wasn't too sure what the depressing lady (forgot her name) meant about how what she did before was a cover up. So she took the powers of everybody before to do something that will benefit the children? Wah? Confused.

I believe that it's useful maybe not at level 1 but eventually it might: a)change the temperature of things to cold or hot...b)warm up more things or bigger ones......c)it can be lethal to living things and be something of a attack but right now it's just useful and not in combat useful at all.

Yeah it was a little too emotional this one but it did not really effect me at all...heck Ookami or Durarara....now that affected me.

I don't think temperature will make easy changes to the climate but I don't it will be until at least level 5 or might have to be 6th one if she can even get there....<_<

I never expected them to reveal Uiharu's ability that casually. (Didn't someone state that it wasn't even revealed in the manga yet?) So in the event of her developing her abilities and becoming a Power User, she can do what, emit microwave beams? (I kid, I kid..)

Anyhow, a bit disappointed to indeed see confirmed that it was again Kiyama-sensei, but I guess that was inevitable. For the rest, the last episodes didn't 'feel' that right with me. All the excitement that the early episodes brought, is gone. I liked how these last two episodes were connected to earlier events, though.

I didn't post this for the sake of uiharu ,but everyone should stop the thought like:

"if someone is bad (in many meaning) = every thing about him/her is automatically bad (in many meaning)"

Saying Uiharu ability useless is unfair you know. We shouldn't compare the lv1 ability with lv 4-5. If she develops her ablity to lv 3-4, she may become powerful espe.

At this point I don't know about her ability's function ,but this is what I think...

- How about keeping the temperature of someone body so that they will never die from the cold weather.
- How about keeping the temperature of the machines so that it wil never overload because of the heat.
- If she can develop it and can completly control the temperature (able to raise or drop the tempurature at her will) she can melt or freeze any objects.

The last has potential in being offensive but this might be something like level 3 or 4 I would think.....can it be her flowers never die because she has the ability to control their moisture through temperature? We do know these flowers rarely rot so how does she do it with her power? Can she even have weather effects.....best part would be the Poltergeist effect on her but there needs to be someone else with her power of those kids that are in the coma....

Why do I have the impression all the kids in the coma have telepathy as power..... Also did Haruue's friend had a level 4 or she like Erii...level 2 in telepathy?

So Uiharu is a totally useless stuck up bitch? How nice...

And about those kids a few thoughts on top of my head.
Why not wake them one at a time instead of all at once and cause massive simultaneous outbreak? Move them to a desolate place miles (or worlds even) away from the city and civilisation and then just wake them without any problems? Or why not simply go for a more effective permanent solution and end their lives, by the look of things they have outlived their usefulness anyway.

Yeah. It was good to hear all that complex gibberish come together and even connect to the previous arc.
Yet, Uiharu pissed me off again this episode for being over defensive, and the long conversations eventually made me sleepy.
Railgun might not be a hard core action anime, but come on all we have seen is earthquakes the last 3-4 episodes, hacking computers, and climbing a wall.
2 more episodes left. I love the whole setting of this show and the characters themselves, i really want to give this an 8 when it is done =(

Comparing the rough timeline of Index and Railgun, the accelerator experiment can be deduced to have started before Touma lost his memory and the Tree Diagram was destroyed.(it could have started when Mikoto first entered Tokiwadai) Touma's lost of memory can be seen in episode 19 of railgun, so this means the accelerator experiment is already in progress. however, this does not mean Mikoto already knows about the experiment. it could be a while after kiyama's events that she actually finds out about her 'sisters'.

HoaRy said:

i'm sure you'll get shocked by mikoto for saying things like that XD Uiharu is just level 1 anyways. imagine wat mikoto was like when she was level 1. actually combined with Uiharu's expertise with computers, her ability could be very useful. consider the ability to keep the computer at optimal temperatures, or even the ability to customize circuit boards. personal reality is not just about the best abilities, but the creativity of the espers using them.

well honestly harue's story is pretty boring and it's definitely very frustrating to see everyone, including saten so upset, but im sure it'll be great in the last few episodes. besides, the fan service in this episode is just too good. funny, cute and intense. that's railgun for ya

I got to agree with Jumperboy. She was good from the beginning of the series but now it just feels like a different director took over. Instead of being cute, she's just fucking useless, annoying and lame. This spin-off filler series better end with a bang. 2 episodes left to make up for it.
