Sorry to double post but I've just looked at the info that ANN has on the "movie", and they list it as half an hour too. I'm thinking that the youtube vid may actually be the short that was sponsored by Anime Innovation Tokyo in 2006, but don't quote me on that as I'm not sure if that's the case.

Thanks for clarifying that. I thought it was a bit wierd that it was classified as a movie, but given that I've watched several other "movies" that were also 30 minutes long (Inukami! The Movie is an example of this), I thought it was simply another marketing job.
To be honest, I don't think I mentioned that there's two versions in my review. I may edit it tomorrow, just for the sake of clarification.
And no, you're not bothering me. I appreciate the fact that you've cleared up something that was bugging me while I wrote the review.

Yes, you're right, comparing Railgun with Index its a bit foolish. I should rewrite the review after seeing all the ep. but as I said, they didn't fill me at all. (The first 4 at least) Maybe the fault it's that when an anime does not fill me at the start, I don't go on with it :/
Besides, Index was awesome, I was impressed at the final... It makes me doubt about it.
