Although I haven't read the VN, I'm totally in for a remake of F/SN. If there's any other route that adapts the future of this show better than the F/SN we already have, I'd take it any day.

I mean, this series being so mature, I really don't want it to be downsized by an immature ending like the current F/SN. Despite Taiga being okay, I'd rather not have her in the show, or maybe I'd rather have a mature version of her than the loud one.

As for Tsukihime, I don't even know how anyone stood it. I couldn't stand the first episode. The animation and direction is horrible. I don't know the story due to my inability to watch it, but if it is good, I hope that gets an adaptation too.

I agree. I thought about this myself, and how much people would look forward to watching F/SN after F/Z but F/SN's story isn't as dynamic as F/Z's and Shiro sucks with his infatuation with Saber in the process.

So yeah, would it make the fight scenes more interesting? Hell yeah. but thats it. and I don't think I would personally re-watch F/SN myself.

Heavens feel is the only route that could work in my opinion. As much as I would like to see UBW done by ufotable, I just don't think that route is really dark and edgy like HF is. Normal route is average, so nothing lost by not doing that one.

UBW is my favorite route, but if Ufotable were to gain permission to do a route out of FSN VN, I'd hope it to be HF, simply because it's the darkest one, perfect successor to FZ and the one most suitable for ufotable if one is to judge based on their other works...

Sigh, my hopes for this will never end. Though they'd have to cut many corners to fit whole story into 24 episodes. Lots of things happen in G-senjou, not all can be included. And problem with that is, 90% of things that happen there were of some importance to main story. I fear lot would be lost, but you never know.

Hyphotetically speaking and if Type-Moon could actually recover F/SN back from DEEN in some form, I think the route that would most fit both as a sequel to F/Z and judging from ufotable's style when adapting Type-Moon material (like KnK) would obviously be Heaven's Feel. It keeps the dark vibe of F/Z and completely ditches the superficial "everyone can be saved" mantra Fate and UBW have.

There was already a F/SN adaption (not that old), it's not that necessary really.
Wrong, there was a "Fate" adaptation and an "Unlimited Blade Works" adaptation. There's no Heaven's Feel adaptation. The F/SN anime didn't add anything from Heaven's Feel, they didn't even properly reveal Sakura's secret...

The first few eps of it were meh but it got a bit better later on. Though I haven't read the vn yet (on my list of things to do) it was apparently the most atrocious adaptation to date (vn wise). I only watched it so I could get a good idea about what 50% of the humour in Carnival Phantasm was.

I would absolutely love a HF adaption by Ufotable. It would totally be a dream come true.

And on a side-note, I would love to see Umineko Chiru animated by a decent studio as well. Maybe it would be impossible to pull off, and I'm just dreaming like ssjokg, but no matter whenever the random viewers would understand anything or not, I would personally just love to see certain scenes animated for the heck of it and the sheer epicness.

Answering the original topic, I haven't seen F/SN, but everyone says not to watch it. Now here’s the thing---is it an annoying anime because of the adaptation, or is it the fact that it’s high school kids….? Or just bad writing? If it was still essentially a cute or comedy high-school drama, it wouldn’t matter which studio produced it.

Was F/SN the anime a high-school comedy, or was it fantasy? Was it “serious”?

See this is something that's keeping me away from delving into the Visual Novel. I've never read a Visual Novel before, but this seems way too convoluted. Bladeworks....Night...Heavens Feel. So are they all concurrent? Is one the real story and the others alternate realities? I don't understand the relationship between "routes" in a story.

And to make matters worse I understand that there's a new Fate now (forget the designation, Fate Hxteria, something like that).

Seems for me I'll just enjoy Fate/Zero anime as it is and leave that as the standalone story. I've been to the Typemoon Wiki and seems that the story ultimately gets too convoluted, repetitive, and even more depressing.

FSN anime tried being serious but forgot something important.Character personalities. For example Emiya Shirou. In the VN he wants to protect everyone AND Saber because of his ideal of saving everyone. In the anime he is a sexist prick that wont allow women and kids to fight. Now when similar things happen with all the characters the outcome is bad.FSN may be a good anime as a stand alone but it isnt an adaption of the Visual Novel. The UBW movie failed even more....

Fate/Stay Night has 3 different scenarios all of them being more or less the same until Saber is summoned. From there 95% of the story changes.
The 3 routes with all their endings (normal, true, good, bad, dead) are canon. There isnt a "real" story but yeah they are like other dimensions .

Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is a pseudo sequel of Fate/stay night.

If you liked FZ give the FSN VN a try.I dont know what you read in the Wiki but FSN isnt that complex as it seems nor repetitive story wise(And reading a series wiki without watching the series first will make any story seem complex). As for more depressing ,only one of the routes is dark like FZ.The other 2 routes(Unlimited Blade Works and Fate) are a happy conclusion to the Holy Grail Wars.

Nana and Death Note, two reasonably successful anime's have lots of inner monologues.

Mind you I'm not disagreeing with your overall point though, which (i think) is that a VN is tough tough to translate to an anime.

I havent watched Nana but if we didnt have inner monologues in Death note we would just see some characters standing there doing stuff.
In FSN and other bad adaptions the studio responsible thought that it would be ok if they cut them out. Most VN or LN adaptions have fights or romance so they think that it is ok to exclude even important monologues that ARE necessary.
Seriously,I believe that some adaptions would be so much better if they had a fan of the original(not even fanboy just a normal fan) in their production team.

I really want a fate/apocrypha adaptation where they can start clean. The thing i don't really like with FsN (and this is compared to F/Z) is that it is in 1st person. I find the holy grail war much more immersive and sinister, where we can see everyones part in the ongoing conflict.

Though I have yet to read HF, whereas I'm only at the fate route in the Vn currently, and damn it takes long to play through, but as you guys have mentioned this seems like the route most fitted for a true adaptation, alas i still feel in doubt it will be good enough compared to the third person fate/zero story.

That's why i really want fate/apocrypha to finish and adapted, where they can start fresh in some way with Jeanne and the other guys.

It would've been fun if they just deleted the whole FSN story and made it from the ground and up again, more fit for anime.

When comparing their future in UBW and Fate with the end(if not all )of FZ and most of HF then I think they are happy enough.

What did Kariya,Kiritsugu,Ilya, all of the Tohsaka family and Kayneth get in FZ?
All the bad guys either died with a smile on their face or won the War.

I am pretty sure Shirou has a bright future, when compared to them even if he kept his ideals.

Glad the time users of beast lair give out to give love is getting used for good. So yes Beast lair was correct. But i do agree with ssjokg Shriou's future even through is told to have been bad in the visual novel and so on. Doesn't mean his life was not worth while. Since who would want to die one day and regret all they done that is no way to to leave the world. So even through he does live his life following these dreams. Doesnt mean his life was not a enjoyable one. Maybe shriou had happy moments in his life maybe finding a lover or just saving people.
Just in general comparing shriou life to alot of others of FZ.Shirou has the better future one way or a other no doubt.
When coming down to the visual novel ending even through each one can be looked at in a different way depending on what you look at (cup being half empty or half full) Will decide for you if those routes were good or bad end for the holy grail. Which to be honest i felt was the point to be able to give off the feeling where you think about it more without a clear conclusion to it.
So the last thing i can say is how do you think shirou looked at it... (considering the fact he always seem to look at a brighter side of things and give off hope of success when there might be none)

Fate-Even through his life might not have been changed at all. Yet after life as ghost in Avalon im sure we can see shriou being happy to inleast be with the person he cares the most with. (to me this seems like something that can inleast looked at as good more then bad even if his life was a pity)

UBW- NO doubt knowing that beast lair facts are correct also considering i am always there. Shirou will still become archer and so on written above. During this time he can turn back anytime as a human being can decide to choose a new path to live by. Yet he keeps going with his dream. This is harder to give as a good end but yet its there in a spirit type of form. Considering that it seems he might know that the path he is going will lead to more pain. Shriou shows the hope that he will find the answer and be able to make the dream real even if its proven to fail. Can we all really hate on someone else going out of their way to try to make a dream true even through we all think it will failed. Well guys its called hope its like how we advanced in tech or in science someone had to dream and hope there was more. Life is about that shriou was doing nothing else but doing what we all do and that is dreaming.

Uhh Fate and UBW don't conclude the Holy Grail Wars at all. They are take down by Waver ten years after the events of both routes because it didn't conclude. Only HF concludes it in story.

It was also the ending that was "as happy as it gets." Meaning yes, it is the ultimate happy ending. Shirou is living like a normal person (keywords being living) with most of his loved ones. Other than Saber, everyone else who is important got as good as it gets happy ending (including Ilya and Kotomine who went out with a satisfied smile).

It's in the T-M fes thread on Beast's Lair. We will know whether if it's trolling or not when the translated interview goes up on Tsukikan.
Apparently the whole interview consisted of Nasu trolling and buttmad fans. I wonder if Urobutcher's sadism affected him and now he's trying to evolve into Kotomine Kirei...

One instance, Nasu answered an English question asking whether or not Shiki can see lines on servants. Everyone hoped that would end the shitstorm but Nasu translated the question and made "Shiki" translate into katakana so it becomes ambiguous. Then he answered about Ryougi instead of Tohno...

Obviously he doesn't want to touch Tohno:

A) He's remaking Tsukihime so he wouldn't want to spoil any changes in his weakness or strenghts.

B)Ryougi is already cheap as hell so giving her absurd abilities would probably be the norm at this point. Tohno has already been portrayed as pretty much being on the borderline of death when using his abilities so his brain would probably just melt, and that's without going into the issue of whether he'd be fast enough to do it. (Honestly, he should be able to "destroy" a Servant with his Death Perception, Servants are just containers so he wouldn't be killing the actual spirit, just a vessel).

If you mean the pre-fes interview, I've read it. It doesn't really speak of Shirou's fate in UBW at all. It does say that he gave the solution in HF but that seemed to be of how he wrote about it. It doesn't mean he'll never be fixed in UBW. He certainly was in Fate (well, after he died).

Also lol Nasu's worse than Gen. Avenger's backstory is all his idea.

Heavens Feel is one of the Fate/Stay Night routes and the one that relates the most to F/Z.
In the story, Heavens Feel means the grail war and the third true magic.

Fate/Stay Night is the 5th war and it is a game (visual novel). It is the original story of the Fate universe and is written before Fate/Zero (4th war). Within the game there are 3 routes with 3 different heroines: Saber, Rin (Some argue it's actually GARcher's route) and Sakura (Again, some argue it is Kotomine/Ilya route). Each route tells a different version of what could have happened in the 5th war. Heaven's Feel route is the one that resolves the most number of issues posed/left from Fate/Zero.

Heaven's Feel route is the one that resolves the most number of issues posed/left from Fate/Zero.

sorry.. it's a mistake , instead to write 5th war , I have written"fourth war"
so , about the heroines : " Saber " in FSN anime
"RIN" in UBW film
Sakura : in Heaven's Feel " it's not animated yet"
right ?

^pretty much. Even in the game don't expect a lot of Rin in UBW. The story is all Archer and Shirou.

Heavens Feel is one of the Fate/Stay Night routes and the one that relates the most to F/Z.

Well, if we're going to be completely fair, Heaven's Feel is the combined routes of Sakura, Ilya and Kotomine. All 3 of them take centerstage in it and Shirou's motivations revolve entirely around Sakura and Ilya (not to mention the characters themselves are fully fledged in them), and Kotomine actually shows every single bit of good and bad in him. Honestly he was even more badass in it than in Zero since his personality is far more interesting than his fake stoicness in Zero.

Screens from the new F/sn RN Vita game opening. I really want ufotable to animate anything F/sn, after seeing these. Look at that Lancer, and that Kirei.

As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

Dayum, those are...beautiful.
Would love to see Ufotable remake FSN adaptation but sadly, that will most likely not happen :/

And that Gilgamesh image...he looks so much better-looking here than how he looked in Deen's FSN. They make him look good in that outfit too.

Type-Moon would have to finish Fate/Apocrypha to begin with if ufotable wants to do anything with it.

Finally Lancer and Archer are actually fighting like Servants instead of dancing around.

I cant wait to see the full opening and maybe all 3 of them if they did it like the VN and the PS2 versions.

Animation is awesome but I would prefer it to have scenes from UBW and HF also included.

I wish ufotable would just remake the whole Fate stay night. Would love to see all 3 routes animated, with their godly animation.

It's just a trailer. There will be 3 separate OPs. I wish they used This Illusion for the music...

I thought Nasu liked the Deen adaptation (at least the TV series), so a remake of the Fate route is very unlikely. Last time I checked, Ufotable was interested in Heaven's Feel but they needed:

1) Time to get budget and production values.
2) The OK from TYPE-MOON.

I don't think budget is a problem...I think the biggest problem is how they are going to adapt it...

You mean ova, movie or tv?.Or are you talking about the pacing? The way I see it ,if they want it as a good sequel of FZ then they can skip parts of the prologue that we already know and/or Rin and classmates scenes.People will complain?Yeah no doubt but it will be either "you already know the rules from FZ" or"Lets learn everything from the beginning with an "awful" double episode".
If they do it like they did FZ(even with it's pacing issues) I see no problem.

As for Shirou's ideals and the reasons he does what he does, they can say it only once and it will make sense. But if the Narutards want to hear it before every battle then it's their problem.

I mean, seriously, Kirei got A LOT OF new fans and the reason was Gil and one fucking episode without even key scenes from the LN(like with his father's corpse).Shirou can be "fixed" ,after the mess Deen did ,with one good 3 minute(at least) flashback by ufotable. It's not like Deen couldnt do it.They simply didnt care.

HF relies a lot on previous knowledge gained from reading Fate and UBW. And as you know DEEN totally fucked that up. They could always do a massive infodump...I don't think skipping the prologue is a good idea because there are going to be people watching HF without knowing about Fate and UBW...and that will just be like the UBW movie-not standalone.

Sakura's problems are too R rated to be included too...and that's a pretty important plot point...
