I totally agree and belive me, go into the Naruto forum and you'll see me agruing my corner on superpowered teenagers going up aginst established veteran villians as if their age and experience was nothing. I should have explained myself better, I'm just greatful this series has made a bit of an effort to stand: - there's the potential to bring in new characters of various ages any time, without connections - the fact that a dragon mentored Natsu, he has no master to supass, only strong peers - Natsu isn't unique; there are alternative characters to root for who are in Natsu's position (the dragon slayers) - the fact that we don't know if any more dragon slayers are about - the fact that Lucy's ability strongly depends on her bond with her summons and not strength - also, the series started with the characters being ages between 17 - 19 and there is always space for time skips - the author isn't in a major rush to boost Natsu's power and has focused on minors |

| I don't watch One Piece but they really do look alike. idk if Gildarts is in the manga since I don't read it but this is the first I'm seeing him. Anyway, can't wait to see what will happen next and with the dragon and all... Whose dragon will it be? hehe. |

Wow! In the same episode Natsu's fed hope and despair. Gildarts is supposed to be insanely powerful and that black dragon WRECKED him. I'm excited to see this Edolas arc I've heard so much about. |

| yes! no more filler. Gildarts is pretty bro. I hope Gajeel plays a part as master said they had 3 dragon slayers. uh... who's the 3rd? oh wait the stupid loli. I forgot considering how shitty of a character she is. it's like they just wanted an excuse to add a dumb loli. it's cool that Gildarts is looked up to and supposed to be what 10x stronger than Natsu? but of course somehow Natsu will end up winninig. that's what bothers me about every arc. |

| Finally fillers are done! We have a real story! And yes the similarities between shanks and gildarts are obvious (the same obvious are those between fairy tail and one piece!). I 'm looking forward the next episodes! |

| An interesting new face... the most powerful from whole Fairy Tail and he has seen a dragon! Well this is getting quite interesting, and well once more a good backstory with Lisanna... it's really sad she's dead... oh well lets see what Natsu will do now! |

| Gray was right about one thing. Mention the word dragon and Natsu runs off to find it regardless of the consequences. I would have liked to see more Natsu x Lissana even if it was just light heated stuff like picnic. Gildartz returns like a boss. |

I was personally pissed off because they made it clear early on that the strongest guild members were Laxus, Mystogan and Erza, but everyone in this thread seems to be okay with it. EDIT: Looked it up, apparently he's mentioned alongside those names in the manga, but not in the anime. That's fucking ridiculous. |
