| That beginning scene is alright. Yes, it's a new arc! And it's Rena's arc! That water gun fight was intense. But that punishment game was funny! We learn about Rena's past with how her mom left her dad for an uncle. And then it ends up with her dad ending up with Rina Mamiya. Rina is working with Uncle Houjou in order to steal money. Rina will be stealing money from Rena's dad. Because of that, Rena will be using her cleaver pretty soon. |

| seriously... when i watch that watergun battle scene, it's like a very well done slice-of-life anime. but seeing those darker moments in the past episodes just casts a large shadow over the peaceful times. |

| I sympathize more with Rena here in one episode than Shion for 5 episodes (or more, because it kinda connects with the second arc). Maybe it could connect to the third arc, where Kei killed (or thought so) Satoko's uncle, which is a blackmailer. So, Rena (which it seems Reina is her actual name, if it was already been said, I don't remember) moved 1 year before in Hinamizawa, after her mother divorced from his father for an unknown man. Rena at first wanted to stay with her mother, but maybe something happened and went with his dad instead. Now, I don't recall in which arc, it's said that Rena already lived in Hinamizawa, then moved away, but after the school incident (maybe under rage for whatever happened with her mother) returns in town. Now we have his dad have a hit on this girl, that Rena knows already because she lives with them, which is Satoko's uncle girl and complicit in his blackmails. They're planning to extort money from him, Rena overheard everything and things will escalate quickly and brutally. Wonder how it will connect to some other arcs, but I doubt it will, because it seems a completely different setting. |

| Seems like a new arc to me, not an explanation arc or something. But I look forward to learn more about Rena. I wonder if she will only resort to violence or if she is at least going to try to talk with her father about the situation. Although I saw what happened in the last arc, no , in EVERY arc, I can't bring myself to hate those girls, even Shion. I know they can go crazy mode if they want, but when they act so sweet and innocent they are all just adoreable. |

| Ehhhh didn't really like this episode. Not much happened. So Ritsuko's going to try to blackmail Rena's father? This is gonna get intersting! Well it's nice to see that Rena's getting some much needed developement Ritsuko's got some fat titties I can say that much. 3/5 |

| Ugh, I knew it was coming and here it is, a fucking Rena arc *Barfs*. Personally I just really dislike the character, I don't find her *cute* or *creepy*, just annoying. While the episode itself wasn't bad, I did find it hard to enjoy with a character I despise so much starring it. Sadly I feel I might be inclined to drop this a score. Partly because of Rena and partly because I doubt this arc will even be able to hold a candle to the awesomeness that was the last arc, but we'll see. I won't jump the gun just yet with my assumptions, maybe it'll surprise me. Wouldn't be the first time with this show. Oh and it was nice to see Shion again, though it was a bit weird to see her acting like a normal person after that last arc lmao. necronice said: im so cofused didnt shion die? Lol, have you really not caught on yet that most of these arcs aren't in order and that some aren't even part of the same timeline? How are people still confused about this? It should be pretty obvious at this point when we've seen multiple characters die in one arc and then be alive and well in the next one, only to then die again in a different way. | I dont get why there is an intense hatred for Shion just because of the last arc. If anything, I like her more since the last arc. She had so much pain and strife, between losing Satoshi to ripping her nails off, it is no surprise she went bonkers. I started the series already deciding that Rena is my fav character, and have been waiting for this arc. Even though so far I am enjoying this arc, Shion somehow managed to become my fav character, I would like to see if this arc can change that perspective. |

| What a small world. Satoko's uncle happens to be sleeping with Rena's stepmom. Also, Rena has lot of mommy trust issues. Poor Rena. Guess that's why some deaths are unavoidable. It is a complicated web after all. And I hate badger schemers. Didn't know there was a term for it. |

| Leave it to this show to have brutal torture in one episode and in the next we have an adorable water gun fight and the girls wearing cute dresses. This is why I freaking love this show. Finally we're gonna learn more about Rena. She's the only one from the main group who we don't know much about. Dammit I didn't want to see Satoko's shitty uncle again. |

| Not really a fan of the fan service, but the rest of this episode was great. The water gun fight was one of those essential moments that lets the horror work, in my opinion. The happy normal provides a great contrast when things either fall apart or when you realize that the normal is just a shell, like candy coating a cockroach. Also, I must say I really like Rena. Gotta love girls that "are made of sugar and spice, and everything SLICE." |
