Of course I can! Who the hell do you think I am?

1. Refer to notes below
2. a^8 x b^7
3. x^2 + 10x + 25 (She helped Eiko solve that last night)
4. 5x^2(1 - 3x) (Or do I have to simplify it further?)
5. 2x^2 + 7x + 3
6. (x + 4)^2
7. (3x+1)(x-1)
8. (x+6)(x-2)

The first question cannot be simplified because b^2 - 4ac does not give an answer we can square root and get us an integer. Heck, b^2 - 4ac turns out to be negative, so imaginary roots, so yeah.

Feel free to correct me if I make any mistakes. :3

You could simply give the answer..... for the first one.....
x = -2 + (2 * root(2))i

Well yeah, but Ika Musume didn't write "x^2 + 4x + 12 = 0" or something, so it's kinda obvious that the point of the question is NOT to solve for x (or attempt to, anyway, since imaginary roots and square rooting a negative number and all), but rather to attempt to simplify it into something like (x + a)(x + b).

To be fair it doesn't really state what needs solving in the first place =P.

Doesn't say expand the brackets or to simplify or to find x at all so none of them can be solved =P.

That's the magic of anime. Some people suddenly gains interest at a particular subject just because it was a topic on a certain anime. I think this might be the creators attempt to get kids to like math(though some kids in japan are actually already good at mental speed arithmetic(what ever it was called)). The logo of the anime is after all the re-recycling symbol in the shape of Ika's tentacles. Though was only two episodes where Ika was cleaning the beach.

...hummm, I will not join it :P

I can't believe this interests me.D:

Given, I've already had the desire to try out every little generic MMORPG out there. But that I'd really look forward to downloading the game for the idea of conquering the entire playerbase as Ika. Insane.

Is it PvP? Can I actually do it? Somebody talk me out of it.

I seriously wonder whether it's just a coincidence or not.

I came across the series by accident, but I'm glad I found it, it's really entertaining.

The next two parts were just ok for me: just some grins, no laughs. :P

...What's the point of calling out the hero's name if inksufficient decishells summons bad guys?

Also, the prep work for this show is inksane. The bad guys on stage aren't that problematic, but out there, they have to stay buried? How do they make sure the kids who come to watch aren't going to step on them?

See, when I was watching this episode, I wasn't inking of Noh theater at all. So I thought, "Huh, it's odd enough that the hero is named after not wearing a mask, but that clearly is a mask. What's up with that?" So then I watched it with subtitles and it made more sense.

Wow, a fake squid with the same motivation as our main character!

But of course, they can't talk it over and reach a compromise. That would compromise part of the premise of this show!

The answer to her heart is... (removes sunfishglasses) inkfatuation.

A sea creature would know poisson, wouldn't she? (Means "fish" in French.)

Well, Eiko might be right: Ika can't teach her unless she can decipher her methods.

Hey, it doesn't show the whole thing! That might be the key! ;)

...It gilly doesn't cross her mind that Eiko was just messing with her by talking like that?

What, do you want the one person who reacts to you the way she does to die?

Arashiyama, do you really want food that's been in Ika's mouth? ...Then again, that is where the ink comes from...

The themes are almost always the same, but the fun is never the same, regenerating every time and showing the news in every episode. The moments that I liked most of all, they are in the study of mathematics by Eiko and in the final, with the fake love triangle everything always assumed by Eiko. Drawings and animations, discrete quality.
