not really sure how i feel yet. quite random episode and alot happened at once. tho i did enjoy the scene when they were sharing a body.

tho i wonder what it meant when she said that this was her first time with a human, is that to imply that its not the first with a non-human.

oh and my mouth dropped when she actually said that tho its their first time it would only hurt her. i had to rewind that scene to make sure i saw correctly.

Holy shit !!!

What was that? o.O Freaking crazy stuff!

9/10 for this crazy first episode. But I doubt it can stay so good.

Normally, fanservice is rather boring but this was really different and so bold for a "normal" anime.
I really can't describe why I found it so good. It was just so different from the usual and pure random madness, that it was really great.

The big flame was very funny.

It was fun. The first parts were a bit WTF but then the near-sex scene conquered the episode... and damn that kiss was awesome, quite different from the ones I usually see in anime. Well, for the moment I give it a 7 but I hope it grows as the show progresses.
Sidenote: I was expecting more from the art section but whatever.

It looks great! Looking forward to seeing next eps.

Technically:

Funny,
Kinda weird drawing style, but after watching the first ep i got used to it,
If there is any music in the ep ('m sure that there is) i kinda didn't notice it, which basically is a good thing,
The whole story looks interesting.

That would be all from my side.

I generally hate shows like this, y'know, one's that only appeal to people who want to stare at panties *no offence anyone ;3*, but it was pretty funny to be fair. I'll stick with it for a while at least.

chizuru is very ecchi and straightforward, made me laugh out loud a few time. This might be a big hit ! although i dont hope they go overkill on the fanservice :)

yeah, i only read the first volume of the manga so when i watched this (the begining) i thought there was something wrong with the video (sometimes an ep might skip to a part that happens later in the ep) but i continued to watch it to see if it was true but it wasnt. nevertheless i enjoyed it =]

Well actually I can't understand why many of you don't like the male main lead.

I mean sure, he is small, looks like a little kid and is supposed to be a high schooler, but I think he feels rather refreshing from the generic perverted male lead in that kind of shows.

He looks like he needs protection wherever he goes - fragile and cute.

The only scary thing is him talking with the voice of Kotomi/Hecate ...

Hmmm I don't know... there was quite a lot more ecchi than I thought, but I'm not going to judge it solely on that. I laughed a few times, and although the animation isn't very good, it's certainly far from unbearable. It's also still too soon to say anything about the story.

I'll definitely check out a few more episodes, though. I just hope it doesn't spiral into a R+V-like anime =/

I find Kouta's voice a little strange too. Sometimes it sounds like a boy, but in other scenes all I hear is Kotomi x_x I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Actually what she said was that it was her first time with a guy, which implies something else entirely.

I really only watched this because of the mention of a foxgirl...I intended to forget it but the first episode was so good and since its only 12 episodes...I think I'm hooked.

Only...like everyone else I can't help but wonder...did they really do it at the end? O_O Unexpected....

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would, which surprised me. I usually hate fanservicey shows and harem shows (hate rosario+vampire) but for some reason I laughed at this one even though it is stupid. I think it's because I enjoyed the ridiculous shota hero. I mean, so many anime series have lolis everywhere, and shota characters are usually sidekicks, so it amuses me. It's one thing to have a typical wimpy harem lead guy, it's another to have one who is so blindingly shota :D

I'm the same with you Emi. For quite a while now, I've been avoiding Ecchi like it's the plague (for about 6-9 months now), but even though To-Love RU was pretty average, I surprisingly loved this episode. I'd half believe Ayako's silly reason for falling in love with Kouta. He's a damn Shota! And I haven't seen one in a long time (maybe never). And it's Mamiko Noto. xD
It's only 12 episodes, so I'll stick with this one, even if it doesn't stay this good all the way.

Who the fuck "falls in love at first sight" then strips down to have sex? A fox spirt? It.. does... not.. make... sense.

Actually, yes. To answer your query (if you're still reading this thread), kitsune were fairly amoral according to human standards and had voracious sexual appetites - they drew energy from their partners. So portraying a kitsune as over-sexed wouldn't be far fetched. If I'm not mistaken they would usually assume the form of an attractive woman, find a drunk guy, and have sex. The partner had to be willing for it to be effective - hence the drunkenness (I guess sober guys might be able to spot that the fox was a fox?). After having sex with a fox, the person would experience "kitsune-tsuki" or "fox lunacy," which, if the fox liked you, they would tell you how to acquire the antidote before leaving. I'm not sure, but I think kitsune-tsuki is also what fox possession is known as.

My thoughts on the show: Whooooooa, fanservice. But I came for the kemonomimi and it was good, so I'll stay for a bit. I'll be curious to see if Chizuru has some ulterior motives with her sudden attachment to Kouta - being that she is a fox spirit, I'm certain she does. I'd like to see her character evolve past "moe/fanservice vehicle." Overall, it moved kind of fast and was a little confusing, but I'm sure this will all be sorted out in the remaining episodes.

4/5

My only two issues were the way they set up the episode and the fact that Kouta is extremely effimanite. I'd classify this as yuri if he hadn't been wearing a male uniform. The animation overall wasn't as excellent as what Production IG or other studios produce, but they make up for it in the way that they chose to present it. Their overall style makes it easier to change the facial structure for the visual comedic styles, which makes this very enjoyable. It also tends to make the Ecchier sequences a bit more realistic and even I felt a bit awkward with Kouta at times.

If you've read the manga the introductory chapters are pretty straightfoward and don't really need the flashback sequence. I kinda thought it was a bit confusing especially for a first episode.

Pretty good Ep for an Ecchi anime. I hope it continues like this.

overall, not bad, kinda mix of Seto no Hanayome and Spice & Wolf, with sum other stuff mixed in
"Forged in darkness with wheat harvested from Hell's half acre. Baked by Beelzabub; slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chickens, force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one-eyed madman. Cheese boiled from the rancid utters of fanged cows. Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal which has maggots for blood."

A show for pedophiles??? I disagree. The girls herelook nothing like little kids..the fox girl is a bit too developed for a high school girl, plus the interaction is between peole of a similar age group. Pedos like a much older charcter and a much younger chracter. Spice and Wolf would be more pedo than this, being that Horo is supposed to look like a 15 y/o girl, and that show is still not in the least bit pedo. You seem to be pedophobic, lol!

I also read those comments with wonder. I think one has to free himself from such prejudices.
Personally, I liked this episode because it was so damn crazy and pretty funny.
But I never had any sexual thoughts about any of those ridiculous chars. I really can't understand why many ppl think every viewer of animes identifys himself with characters in the anime or wishes to be in it or take part in some way or another.
You really think one can only enjoy that kind of a show if he gets hot feelings in the show? That's really funny and a bit sad, too.

Hmm. I'm still skeptical. I typically stay away from seemingly mindless ecchi series like this (with a perverted shota, no less), but it has Ayako Kawasumi so that makes it a little better, and the story is somewhat interesting. Hopefully the 2nd episode is better.

I'm well over 16, and I'm watching this show. Of course, I'm aware it doesn't have any story (at the moment, at any rate) and the animation is sub-par, but kemonomimis simply win me over. It's just a matter of turning off your brain before watching, just like things like Girls Bravo, Tenjo Tenge, Amaenaideyo and even harem trash like Love Hina, to an extent. These kind of series are alright, in very small doses. And who knows, maybe a salvageable story will surface before the end.

I didn't really like it, but I don't really like ecchi so I wasn't really expecting to like it very much. I don't really like any of the characters but there does seem to be at least some emotion to them. I'll probably give this show a chance until episode four or five and if I don't like it I'll drop it.
