i completely agree with that. I'm perfectly fine with the way they are. On that note, I think I might rewatch a few episodes of Samurai Jack, oh how I miss that show.

It's easier to think of anime that would have been better if they weren't so moe pussified.

i think most disney movies would probably make good animes....

jackie chan adventures

xiaolin showdown

.... marvel. especially something involving deadpool, because more of deadpool is always a good thing.

I would go the easy route and say the DC shows or Avatar.
I would like to see Dragon: Riders of Berk and the new TMNT turned into an anime

That's the point of the show, to be entirely ridiculous and offending; and that's why I love it.

So what your asking us is: "which American made animations would we like to have remade by a Japanese director, just so it can fit into the narrow definition that originated in the west?"

It would be easier to relocate to Japan where they already consider our 'cartoons' to be 'anime'.

Those are my two cents.
But that's just one opinion.

That's a great idea. Courage the Cowardly Dog would make a great psychological horror anime. It would really stand out amongst the other anime that belong to those genres because of the heavy use of anthropomorphism.

One of few American cartoons that could actually work awesomely as an anime. In fact, I think if it kept it's episodic story telling method, it could probably rival Champloo in terms of style.

I know! I was actually being serious in that post, too. One of the more difficult things I think would be in turning it into an anime, would be the character designs... cause, well... he's a dog.

You are right the character designs might be difficult to recreate in anime but it would be really interesting especially for the villains like Freaky Fred, Flan King, Dr. Zalost.

And I'd really like to see a Lilo & Stitch spin-off. What could possibly go wrong with that?

It's sad that Americans can make better anime.
They don't even have to try and yet they're still better than anime.
