| That was a good start. The CG bear doesn't look bad. Same studio behind Kokkoku? No wonder the characters reminded me of Kokkoku's characters because of the animation style. And shit that closing credits song which is obv the OP song is banging. MAN WITH A MISSION did it again. Gaaaah. 4/5. |

| Outside of the CGI, it was a solid first episode. People who drop just because of the CGI this episode are going to miss out a great story. |

| Wow! That exceeded my expectations by a longshot! I love how they animated that first scene, and Sugimoto is quite cunning. I think this will make for an amazing series, and ill even go as far as to say it will likely be my favorite non-sequel this season. |

| This first episode was both kind of interesting and entertaining but at the same time had the lowest production value and direction level I have seen this season (I mean, the art and animation are absolutely HORRENDOUS, my God !), so I'm quite split on this one for the moment. Will watch ep 2 I guess. |

| Solid first episode. Anime-only watcher here, but will still be reading people's thoughts on how it compares to the manga. The series shows that it has not problem showing cruel things, which I like as an aspect of the anime. Great action and story feels all right. I really don't like the CGI. I understand why they are using it, but I think it's really ugly compared to the rest of the show. Will be following this anime. :-) |

| Not really sure of how I feel about this xD Saichi and the girl were pretty amazing tho... Poor mama bear :( The bears were weird and when they appeared I was like ?? lol I don't know what all this will lead to, but maybe it surprises me so I'll give it a chance |

| I wanted this to be good so bad but man that "I am immortal" scream was stupid and made mc seem less badass than if he just remained silent. Then there's the bear and wolf. I don't even know what to say, they looked horrible. The animation on the wolf was awful and the bear had such a different art style it just didn't blend well at all. |

| This was a awesome start. I really like the setting and Sugimoto's character. Best part was probably when the bear took him by surprise at night and his reaction was to straight up punch it lmao. This show seems right up my alley with the violence as well. Am looking forward to the next episode. |

| AAAAAaaahhhhhhh I kind of lost it at the CG bear... lost it even more when the wolf sporting a whole different kind of CG appeared. That being said though, this anime has quite an interesting little story set up here and I'm interested, I wanna know how this whole thing will play out, though I hope it doesn't include any more bear fights. |

Aha, ok, I thought he had other people's tattoos, because the story said that the prisoner tattooed their backs, but old man also had tattoos on his chest, but, i guess you are right. Thank you. Still stupid though, "tattooed in a way it can be easily flayed". :/ |

| i didn't expect the cgi to be this bad. But it was a good episode. Very interesting and now that I know that the one who directed this is the same guy who did gosick I think it's safe to say that I'm expecting a lot in this show |
