| I really love how different this take on the character was. How the director used animals to allow Ekoda-chan and co. to be naked throughout. It worked really well! |
| hmmmmm, alright, so this time they featured one of things described in the synopsis Lots of commentary on "birds of prey" (moukin), girls who use their cuteness and affect stupidity in order to try to score men (against whom the author is constantly fighting). but this time experiences weren't even connected to her hostess life, just some random sol stuf.. |

| It was a nice episode this week. This one seems to have the most comedy out of the bunch we've seen so far. |
| Pretty fun. And I learned that: 1- you can't depict nude people (not talking about genitals of course. 2- nor smoking people. Seriously? 4/5 "aguicheuse" was a strange choice to translate this kind of girl. |
| So they went full yonkoma this week, nice, I guess it does more justice to the rhythm of the manga. Pretty good how each episode emphasises a different facet of Ekoda so far. |

| I would have stuck with it if there's no after show interview. The show itself is pretty nice to watch. I don't mind the visual either. The talk after that, though, it draaaaaaaaags and saps my interest away. Dropped. |

| The animals used was incredibly interesting in this ep. And the director's reasoning, that it was just easier to portray a character that is permanently naked. Very interesting |

| I really like hearing about the production details and methodology behind these episodes, but I really wish there would be some female directors too. Because so far - as much thought the directors have put into the episodes - the character exploration of Ekoda has pretty much boiled down to these clueless male boomer directors making some off-color remarks about 'not understanding' the modern values Ekoda's character represents. Like Shigino in this episode going all "I definitely wouldn't want to be in a relationship with her".. like.. what even??? I think the previous episode worked really well, and that was because the director was smart about his own shortcomings in understanding the modern woman and hired Mari Okada as a scriptwriter lol. But it all just leaves me really thinking if these director choices (FOR A JOSEI MANGA ADAPTATION) are a deliberate experiment on gender/generation gaps, or just the male-dominant anime industry being.. well... just that. |
