Main difference IMO, Sidonia's been a consistently good read across all chapters. If you're a more critical reader, you may agree that Berserk's story faceplanted after the Tower of Conviction arc. Any anime adaptation of Berserk past that point would have resembled some aimless shounen hacknslash with a meandering storyline. |

| Wow. This episode deserves to be watched on a big screen. Why did I watch this on my crummy 15" monitor? Really intense action scenes. and dear lord, the sound in this anime is something else. Major props for that. If Izana dies, I'm going to be so pissed. |

| This episode was magnificient. There's an abstract beauty to laser beams piercing the void and casting reflections on the solid matters around. Overall the light effects were great this episode, with a striking blue/red contrast due to the giant Gauna, sprinkled with the ever present and shifting black of space. And some nicely paced action, good job staff. Looking forward to season two. |

| I am very glad that decided to watch this. Kunato's character is almost... empathetic? Too bad I don't have any idea what his dream is. For the limited amount of time it had, this was virtually a masterpiece. This warrants AT LEAST an 8. |

| Epic! They managed to convey hopeless situation together with breathtaking battle scene, great episode. Sidonia really is getting better and better with each consquent episode. Ready for the last part of the first season now! |

| Damn!!! I felt like i was watching Zeta Gundam for a second :O Nagate can really be annoying at times. Enough being too jealous of Nagate and understand what kind of situation he's in. At least Kobayashi is willing to give Tanikaze a chance. Something he didn't give to his father. Kinda felt sad with Kunato, but with all the BS he tried to pull serves him right. Wow the Gauna is one big bastard. They literally went all out on this one. Benisuzume DAAAAAAMN. Squad Unit 2 got wipe out clean. They would have been successful as hell if they didn't get run with Benisuzume. I watch the Sentai BD's and it says these are the new angles. I didn't watch the normal TV versions, but is there anything changed here?? Seems there's a lot of explosions here and so. Final Episode!!! Can't wait for it!! |

| The size of that Gauna...IS OVER 8000! That's the first time no one died in a 1-thruster acceleration. Despite the turn being only 0.5 degrees and Planet Gauna catching up almost immediately, it was still an impressive feat. This is definitely the most grueling fight Sidonia's ever faced. Benisuzume assists and Hyggs cannon support had the whole 2nd Platoon annihilated. A shockingly jaw-dropping moment indeed. Kunato gave up on life lol. He should've come with them and break down once evil Hoshijiro arrives. Sidonia's Super Hyggs Cannon has been launched! The sounds were very satisfying and that laser speed! Hoping the Anti-Planet missile hits its target...and the survival of the remaining pilots of course. |

Have to agree here, and I came at the start to extremeçy dislike the CG... the scale, the atmosphere and tension, this really feels like watchin a movie with major budget value portraying a war between aliens and humanity. You can feel the despair of facing the menace that is Gauna. These last 2 episodes been doing great! |

| The "Crimson Hawkmoth" (sounds like a species name) Gauna is a problem. I wonder if Shizuka can be brought back from what I'm assuming is some sort of mind control the mech has over her. |
