you guys can suggest to kick it off the relations in the boot thread ;) Georgi seems to have already done so. If Arimakenshin also requests it, two votes is enough to remove it, unless someone else votes to keep it.

HAHA, so true.

lol @ someone considering Onegai Teacher as seinen or josei. It's sex, stereotypical cliches, raging hormones and the like!

I read the Dark Horse edition of Lone Wolf and Cub and in the back of volume 27 (the second to last one), there was an essay analyzing it. In it, it says that to a Westener, it may seem like mindless violence, sex, and gore. But it said that it is rather a meditation on Bushido and there are a lot of undercurrents in it, but it is almost all concentrated in the second half. Since the concept is exclusively Japanese and is completely contraditory to Western thought. This quote, which is the opening line to the Hagakure, might seem helpful (I am drawing this from my memory when I read part of it a while ago and may not be spot on accurate, but the idea is still there):
"I have found the essence of Bushido, to die [for your lord]."
So it is best before tackling the beast that is Lone Wolf and Cub to do some research on the subject.

Its been months since I read it so I may not remember the exact volume, but it started getting good for me around 13 (or more specifically when Itto intercepts a message in a flooded river). After that it just gets fucking amazing.

I haven't finished it, but I stopped once I read the 7th volume because there was none of his trademark awesomeness.

It's because CF isn't...I'm not sure....how to say it.....

Have you read it in it's entirety? Because I've been told it doesn't get really good until like volume 18.

How do you feel about Crying Freeman? I'm about half way through but I've heard the story becomes a train-wreck near the end.

Lone Wolf and Cub is a disgrace to Koike. The man toned down his awesomeness in rape, dismemberment, and tastelessness. If you want to see Koike at his best, Offered is the way to go.

Yeah, it's completely scanlated.
