Both shows bring out the best humor anime has to give. Both shows are very funny but also tell a story. All things done have a deeper meaning behind them and lots of emotion.
Odd jobs trio takes care of your problem, sometimes through laughing and fun and other times by tugging at your heartstrings. SKET Dance creator (Shirohara) is a former assistant of Gintama's creator (Sorachi). It's therefore not surprising to see Sorachi-sensei's influence in SKET Dance. Comedy styles are similar.
SKET Dance and Gintama' also have crossover episodes.
both have same comedy and have a group of ppl helping those in need !!! also Shinohara-sensei was Sorachi-Sensei's Assistant for a while so u can expect the same style from him.also both of them are from Shounen Weekly Jump...
Trio of odd jobs, characters that are very unique and gags that surely make you laugh! Plus, numerous parodies of other anime!
Both are hilarious in their own way and the proof is the genius script (and lines) which are not a total waste. If you love one of them, try watching the other~
In the SKET Dance there is an organization which is similar to Yorozuya in Gintama Series and it has the same crazy atmosphere and few seiyu, who's working in Gintama.
Similarities:
-Sarcastic
-Parodies that breaks the 4th wall
-High detailed animation.
-Some costumers are usually a plot device to the story
Differences:
-Themes, settings.
-Ratio of fanservice.
-More drama no or less action.
very funny, the main characters are also doing odd jobs
Kazuyoshi's VA is the same with Gintama's main character (Gintoki)
if you want something random, I recommend you watch this anime.
The three main characters are very similar, and they do almost the same job, help people with whatever they request. Also both series are focused on comedy, but Gintama is way better than Sket Dance.
Both shows are about a 3-man group who'd do anything asked to them.
Plus Kenta Shinohara, mangaka of Sket Dance, is the assistant of Hideaki Sorachi, the author of Gintama.
SKET Dance && Gintama both involves doing odd jobs with lots of comedy and sometimes a splash of drama ^^
If you love odd jobbers, you will definitely love SKET Dance! Basically, SKET Dance is Gintama in school format and not perverted as Gintama. I recommend this to all Gintama fans and school-related anime fans out there!
Although sket has a different setting than gintama both are gag animes with tons of fun and 4th wall breaking scenes!
A lot of people say sket dance is the school version of gintama, and that's kinda true.
Main characters:
Both have 3 main characters, 2 guys and 1 girl. In both of them a guy started their odd jobber group and the others joined later.
Style:
The envirement is a bit different, because in sket dance they are in a school and help studens with odd jobs and things like that. In gintama they are in a city were there are different orginizations and people they help ( Shinsengumi, Joi and aliens).
SKET Dance creator (Shirohara) is a former assistant of Gintama's creator (Sorachi-sensei). It's therefore not surprising to see Sorachi-sensei's influence in SKET Dance, also the comedy styles are similar.
They are pretty much the same show in different settings.
SKET- 3 club members (2 guys and 1 girl) that do anything to help the student body
Gintama- 3 yorozuya (2 guys and 1 girl) who do any job for money
Both are HILARIOUS and will have you laughing every episode. They both parody other animes and sometimes have a sentimental side.
Both animes are funny and have 3 protagonists.
Both have a trio that takes odd jobs, with plenty of laughter and memorable stories along the way.
The creator of SKET Dance used to work under Hideaki Sorachi who created Gintama. That was what prompted me to take a look at SD.
This is similar to Gintama because of the "helping" part. Its like a school version of Gintama. And it also has the Manzai type of jokes. It is also really enjoyable.

Both have clubs that helps people.
both anime have groups of people whom help others and as they do that they have more allies as they go on. many similarity occurs in both these anime, but SKET Dance have less romance
Organization in high school devoted to solving other people's problems regardless of how small it is. The main male protagonists are both exceptional with the slingshot and the main female protagonists are both exceptional fighters.
Both anime focus more on a club that does odd jobs, and their episodes contain the odd jobs.
The both anime's the characters fight to protect the school. In both animes the main characters take offers from people to help them. These animes also have similar generes such as: comedy, school life.
Both animes are about two school clubs who help people. Also the main girls are alike there both really strong and are well known street fighters. Also the main guys both use sling shots as there weapons.
both SKET DANCE && Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi have a special group in their school that accepts requests.
Similarities:
Both are compose of clubs dedicated to help someone in need.
Both were set in a school.
Both have muchachos who uses slingshot as their main weapons and both are also a crack shot.
Both have a chiquita (lead female) who are fighters.
Both leaders of the club were street-smart.
Dissimilarities:
Thought in both animes have clubs that help someone in need, in OSN, the club there is more of a businesslike thing, that is whenever someone approaches them for help, they have to pay it with favors, while in SD, them helping somebody in need is done in order to solicit members.
In OSN the club is compose of 7 members, while in SD, here were only 3.
In OSN the leader of the club is merely a support and rarely participate in any of the clubs operations, while in SD, the club leader is the main cast and does participate in all of the clubs operations.
In OSN the club geek is a witch while in SD the club geek is a computer wizard who would let his fingers (he types in his laptop that he always bring) do the talking.
The main chiquita (female lead) in OSN can fight barehanded, but is incapable of taking down toughest opponent (the one who sexually harassed her), while in SD, the chiquita (female lead) relies entirely on her hockey club when taking down the toughest opponent.
When it comes to romance, in OSN the muchacho (male lead) has feelings for the chiquita (female lead), while in SD, the feelings with the 2 muchachos (the 2 male leads) with the chiquita (the sole female lead) is purely professional.
When it comes to the clubs relationship with the student council, in OSN the club is at equal status with the student council, while in SD the club is at odds with the student council.
In OSN the genre of the anime is more like a parody, while in SD, there is an extra genre of mystery.
Both series are quite hilarious for starters. That's because they have parodies that has a strong and independent female protagonist that are present in both series.
Both Ookami-san and Sket Dance also has the theme of a club at school wishing to helping others in need.
Both series are very funny and contains a lot of parodies as well as references. Yet in some cases, there is also emotions and other factors that seems to bring out a more dramatic side in both series.
Both series also expands on the idea of friendship and how friends are one of the most important things to have in the world.

Both involve a group of students including a tough female who solves other students' problems and fights delinquents. However in SKET Dance the group is a club and Medaka Box is about the Student Council.
Both tells about a group of high-school students helping people around them.
Both somewhat has certain connections to Student Council.
Both are comedic animes.
Both often deals with their school's extracurricular clubs problems.
Both are school-focused.
Medaka Box to me is like a poor man's SKET Dance,
and both are popular Shounen Jump manga turned into anime.
Same pointless *helping out* other students and club members, though I prefer medaka box for the action.
Medaka Box and Sket Dance go hand in hand. These two series involves around a group of kids helping the helpless in a school life setting. There is a lot of comedy present that deals with the various events around the school especially involving the main characters.
Both series follows through an episodic theme with arcs added in throughout some episodes.
Both series also has "antagonists" that opposes the ideologies of the main characters later on.
They both are groups of students that solve problems for the school.
SKET Dnce is more of gag-comedy that has funny situations per episode while Medaka box has more of an advancing storyline

SKET Dance and Gintama' also have crossover episodes.
The one who made Sket Dance was the former assistant of Sorachi Hideaki (Gintama's Mangaka), it's a comedy series just like Gintama, and they both have the same style.
Now, both anime are shonen anime. Also, both are obviously comedy and how they deliver it is almost similar… and also, how both deliver drama is strikingly similar. Both anime are almost so similar that one may say that “Sket Dance is Gintama lite”, but let’s not jump to there…
both anime have odd job trio going around solving problems

Both series follow the misadventures of school groups: the Sket-dan and the SOS-dan. Unlike Sket Dance, however, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya deals with the supernatural. Some of the characters are also quite similar. Switch and Kyon are both voiced by Tomokazu Sugita.
Both SKET Dance and Haruhi are about a school club. And Both Switch and Kyon are viced by Tomokazu Sugita.
These two series have a ton of comedy but beyond that, they also have dramatic moments.
Both series features a main female character who is dominant, independent, but also thinks of others before herself. They portray this in their own strange ways.
Both series takes place at a school setting where every day presents something new.
Both series features a strange cast of characters with different personalities that brings out the mood, comedy, drama, and occasional romance gags into the mix.

Very comedic slice of life with amusing characters. Not to mention the characters tend to drive each other nuts.
theyre both comedy and highschool life though i would prefer DanKouNi is more funny.
Well, the comedy presented in both series are quite pleasant to watch for starters. Both focuses a lot on high school and the daily lives of the main characters.
Both series also has gags and a lot of drama that are contained in stand alone episodes.
Both series are entertaining to watch for those more into comedy rather than a serious plot.

These two series focuses on comedy that is fun and entertaining to watch as well as the various parodies presented throughout each episode.
There are many dramatic scenes - some casual, some over exaggerated, some funny, some entertaining, and some emotional all contained in one package from both series.
Both series also features a school life setting.
Both series' main female protagonists (Ichiko and Himeko) have similar personalities but are kind at heart.
Both animes have great comedy with a little bit of drama and feel good moments mixed in. Both shows also have comedic references to other anime and manga.
Both of these series have a very simular crack humor that is in fact very enjoyable, not to mention the characters in both shows are done to major extremes of each other.
Well the story isn't exactly the same but the characters are so much alike that if you like Fairy Tail you'd like Sket Dance.
-The character named Himeko from both animes (yes, both animes have a character named Himeko) have the same voice actress
-There is an arc in Sket dance and Kokoro where the main characters change of body (guy goes in girl body and girl goes in boy body)
-The science teacher in SKET Dance is as creepy and unmotivated looking as the teacher in Kokoro Connect when he's possessed
-Both animes have sad backstories for the main characters (although Sket Dance ones are WAY SADDER)
-Both animes have finished airing
-In both animes, the main characters are in school commitees that they made themselves (original school group)
-Both animes are focused on interactions between the main characters and how they help each others surmount life troubles

Well Sket Dance is mainly a mystery. It's about a club that solves problems. If you liked the romance in Gosick, there are a few episodes in Sket Dance with lots of romance. Also, some of the characters are alike.
Very similar aspects in friendship, trust, and helping others
And both have 10/10 in character development
It takes place in a school environment, where the cast is involved in a club/school activities. SKET dance is filled with comedy, and parodies that you'll enjoy. There is character development by revealing each character's past, and how all 3 are connected and came to be... which is similar to Seitokai. So if you loved Seitokai no Ichizon then you'll enjoy SKET Dance.
SKET Dance is similar to Ben-To in the use of bright colours throughout scenes and characters who are defined by their actions
Clean positive fun, with a different outlook on the highschool scene, dealing with other peoples problems because your own are not enough!!
Great show if a little slow/sit around the clubroom and talk for a whole ep...
still on going
overall 7.5/10

Have the similar type of craziness. Both fun to watch!
Very funny.
Includes unique characters.
Both use the same type of club. A club that helps people. The three main characters have different characteristics each, which makes it very similar in it's own way.
-Both involve in helping other people with any job no matter how dangerous

Calling both of these hilarious would be an understatement. Despite a considerable difference in setting, Gintama' Enchousen and SKET Dance share a similar comedic style that could best be summed up with one word - randomness.
The very purpose of Yorozuya and Sket-Dan are fundamentally the same: they do anything for their clients. In most cases, both of them go through outrageous lengths in order to accomplish their tasks. Moreover, both groups are composed of three members who play very similar roles: a leader, a strong female, and an otaku. Their personalities are so strikingly similar that a crossover was made highlighting that very premise.
The main aspect that distinguishes both series from the rest is its unique sense of humor. Both series parody other anime series but do so in a brilliant and creative manner. If Gintama is considered the king of comedy, Sket Dance would be the prince.
Both shows have a silly and clueless main character that can come through in tough times. They both have "villains" that are the "not really" villains and are silly (Student Council and Erec's group)
Same kind of comedy, and lead characters reassemble on the kind's of jokes, and faces
If you happened to like the kind of humor in this particular OVA, then you very well may like SKET Dance, which also has a slightly "crack-fic" sense of humor, the good kind of "crack-fic". Yet, it also has a more serious side of it.
What do you get when you put together, "slice-of-life", well written "crack-fic comedy" and school. Well, you might get Nichijou, or you might get SKET Dance. Both take simular subject matter and take different spins on it.
Being normal at school tends to be frowned upon, but both of these series look at groups of kids who are different and find ways to fit in eventually/sort of.
School life is meant to be crazy, right? Particularly when one goes through high school. Well, both SKET Dance and School Rumble take this theme and push it foward in a way that can excite the rewier into histarics.
Both are comedies who revolve around highschool students and their daily hectic lives, full of many crazy comical situations.
Same Comedy and Atmosphere
Great comedy with both humor and similar characters.

Similarity checklist:
Both male lead, have amazing deductions capabilities, checked.
Both male leads don't wear their prescribe school uniforms, checked.
Both male leads wore ridiculously looking outfits, checked.
Both male leads has a girl who kicks their assess, checked.

Both are high school comedies featuring a blond main character named Onizuka who is a reformed delinquent. With the series Sket Dance we have Onizuka Himeko, formerly known as Onihime, who is now a proud member of the Sket Dan, an extracurricular club that takes on students' requests for help. With the series Great Teacher Onizuka we have Onizuka Eikichi, formerly known as Eikichi the Oni, who is now striving toward becoming a good teacher now that he's finished a student teaching position successfully. Both shows are mostly comedies with some serious overtimes from time to time, although Sket Dance has a lot more slapstick comedy and general ridiculousness and not taking itself seriously, and pretty much avoids the crude humor often found in Great Teacher Onizuka. How no one thought to rec these shows together before I did, I have no flipping idea.
They both provide good comedy and give off similar atmospheres.
Those are both comedy's that goes about school and a special group in the school, that helps other people.
