Both shows bring out the best humor anime has to give. Both shows are very funny but also tell a story. All things done have a deeper meaning behind them and lots of emotion.

Both involve a group of students including a tough female who solves other students' problems and fights delinquents. However in SKET Dance the group is a club and Medaka Box is about the Student Council.

Very comedic slice of life with amusing characters. Not to mention the characters tend to drive each other nuts.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
both anime have groups of people whom help others and as they do that they have more allies as they go on. many similarity occurs in both these anime, but SKET Dance have less romance

lots of lively characters and school comedy which connect to you.

Odd jobs trio takes care of your problem, sometimes through laughing and fun and other times by tugging at your heartstrings. SKET Dance creator (Shirohara) is a former assistant of Gintama's creator (Sorachi). It's therefore not surprising to see Sorachi-sensei's influence in SKET Dance. Comedy styles are similar, although Gintama takes everything up to eleven. SKET Dance and Gintama' also have crossover episodes.

Similar comedy style, both are very funny and the comedy is in the higher levels .. also Shirohara-sensei, the creator of SKET Dance its a former assistant of Sorachi-sensei .. still like the prequel, Gintama' 2015 have some action inside, but SKET Dance have some slice of life and drama inside .. both are worth to watch!! Very very funny that makes you laughing so hard ..!!

In both series, they take place at a local high school setting. But more importantly, there is a club where friends gather and conduct daily activities. The main male protagonist in both series are not similar but they do have a way to present their thoughts to others in a not so typical fashion. On the other hand, the main female MC in both series are independent and has a cool aura around them. Both series also has a lot of comedy, drama, catchy dialogues, and hints of a little romance between two of the main characters.

Both anime have a similar comedic style, and both feature a group of oddball characters who are always getting into hilarious situations.

-Clubs that like to play games all day -Average school with a lot of "unique" people -Lots of tsukkomi and boke jokes -Tons of random side-characters who just kinda appear without much reason -Everyone likes weird stuff, and I mean very weird

Despite having different genres, the main trio of The God of High School reminds me a lot of the SKET Dance. So, if you missed SKET Dance, you can try this one.

These two series focuses on comedy that is fun and entertaining to watch as well as the various parodies presented throughout each episode. There are many dramatic scenes - some casual, some over exaggerated, some funny, some entertaining, and some emotional all contained in one package from both series. Both series also features a school life setting. Both series' main female protagonists (Ichiko and Himeko) have similar personalities but are kind at heart.

School life is meant to be crazy, right? Particularly when one goes through high school. Well, both SKET Dance and School Rumble take this theme and push it foward in a way that can excite the rewier into histarics.

Both help others solve mysteries.
report Recommended by izZzi
Both of these series have a very simular crack humor that is in fact very enjoyable, not to mention the characters in both shows are done to major extremes of each other.

Both SKET Dance and Haruhi are about a school club. And Both Switch and Kyon are viced by Tomokazu Sugita.

Strange phenomenons happen around and in the bobies of the club members and characters. Kokoro Connect is more serious. The cause of the phenomenons are different, but the phenomenons that happen to the club members are very much alike.

Both are over the top gag school comedies that also have a deeper side to them that give the characters depth

Both Beelzebub and SKET Dance are unique in their own ways, both have lots of comedy and some romance. SKET Dance has more school life while Beelzebub doesn't. Both have different kinds of violence, but its more involving comedy/helping others. Both are long series that I wish had second seasons -v- Looking for comedy and strange twists in the stories? The you should watch both Beelzebub and SKET Dance! :)

Both are high school comedies featuring a blond main character named Onizuka who is a reformed delinquent. With the series Sket Dance we have Onizuka Himeko, formerly known as Onihime, who is now a proud member of the Sket Dan, an extracurricular club that takes on students' requests for help. With the series Great Teacher Onizuka we have Onizuka Eikichi, formerly known as Eikichi the Oni, who is now striving toward becoming a good teacher now that he's finished a student teaching position successfully. Both shows are mostly comedies with some serious overtimes from time to time, although Sket Dance has a lot more slapstick  read more

Similarities: - Their jokes are almost the same - Both Main Male Character are the same ( looks, Attitude & their jokes ) - Both Comedy & School Genre'd anime - Story almost similar but Nourin is a little serious. - Makes you want to watch more
report Recommended by Nyaroha
- The humor is on the same level, as it is stupidly funny - Both clubs are helping out other people, whatever the requests are - If there are no requests, all they do is loafing around or doing things whatever they please - The most hyper person at the school club both always wear the same cap - The people at the club all differ from eachother if it comes to personalities

Both stories are about a group that help others to solve case/problem.

These two shows are both light-hearted comedies where something different happens each week, yet they both have a sensitive feel-good side. Both series have their serious moments, but every episode is ultimately comforting and heartwarming!

Both main male lead (Fujisaki/Bossun & Tamaki) are somewhat similar: -They formed a club with similar goal (Host Club has a more specific goal though). -They like to motivate others. -The club members respected them so much (although sometimes they make fun of them lol). -Both extremely care about their friends. -Both have similar personalities: (Easy going, cocky and easily irritated). -Both like to do funny stuff which make them look stupid. Both are great comedy anime that fun to watch.

Both Sket Dance and Gintama share a similar sense of humor and a mix of genres, with action, comedy, and drama.
report Recommended by FAKECROSS97
Similar to SKET Dance it also portrays high school life and never ending fun often childish, never boring. On opinion the theme songs are a bit "useless" in this anime and nothing compared to SKET Dance. This anime can never be compared to the above but still a recommendation
report Recommended by Joe_Jaison_T
Both are concerned with a club that is designed to help other students. Quite different in tone and comedy aspect. Well SKET dance is much more retro, Oregaru is much more modern in its sensibilities. Much more romance and shipping. Also much more realistic.
report Recommended by PulseDawg
Both have a very similar vibe - there's plenty of comedy and seriousness in both with some slight action.
report Recommended by Myshon0k
Both are school comedies with a bith of romance. In both series character help someone - schoolmates or Nozaki-kun. In Sket Dance there ia also a mangaka who writes shoujo

The big highlight on the similarity is that both story evolving in a highschool's club. The kicker is the club's president/founder/self-proclaimed "god" has this wicked "urge" to fix others problems. Although MM! has more "matured" content, I'd say both worth to watch

-School life anime that focused in a club where hilarious things happened everyday. -Romance that involve the Main Characters. -Some characters who attracted to 2D girls. (Switch (and his friends) & Subaru). -A minor similarity: Bossun is very skilled at drawing, just like the Art Club members in Konobi. -If you have finished Sket Dance first, you'll be familiar with Konobi's opening song because it sounds quite similar with Sket Dance 5th opening song. -And some situations where club members doing nothing (lol).

Want to cry tears... of laughter? I suggest you watch these animes. SKET Dance and Ixion Saga Dt will have you rolling on the ground with laughter. Although SKET Dance is placed in a school setting and Ixion Saga Dt is placed in a fantasy world, the amount of humor remains the same. SKET Dance is about three high schoolers who run a club that will do anything for you(pretty much all chores). Ixion Saga Dt is about a gamer who gets stuck in a fantasy world... with an 8 year old princess, a newhalf maid and a knight that has one weakness- kittens. You  read more

Calling both of these hilarious would be an understatement. Despite a considerable difference in setting, Gintama' Enchousen and SKET Dance share a similar comedic style that could best be summed up with one word - randomness. The very purpose of Yorozuya and Sket-Dan are fundamentally the same: they do anything for their clients. In most cases, both of them go through outrageous lengths in order to accomplish their tasks. Moreover, both groups are composed of three members who play very similar roles: a leader, a strong female, and an otaku. Their personalities are so strikingly similar that a crossover was made highlighting that very premise. The  read more

What do you get when you put together, "slice-of-life", well written "crack-fic comedy" and school. Well, you might get Nichijou, or you might get SKET Dance. Both take simular subject matter and take different spins on it.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Those are both comedy's that are about school and a special group in the school, that helps other people.
report Recommended by Audax
Great comedy with both humor and similar characters.

Kyoukyoku Choujin R, though not extremely similar to SKET Dance, it has many eccentric characters as its core of humor. Viewers may enjoy the silly action and the unrealistic club activities in both works, though sadly Kyuukyoku Choujin R only got an OVA and can't play all of his strengths on the screen.
report Recommended by Error205
It takes place in a school environment, where the cast is involved in a club/school activities. SKET dance is filled with comedy, and parodies that you'll enjoy. There is character development by revealing each character's past, and how all 3 are connected and came to be... which is similar to Seitokai. So if you loved Seitokai no Ichizon then you'll enjoy SKET Dance.
report Recommended by Mr_DaftPunk
Very similar aspects in friendship, trust, and helping others And both have 10/10 in character development
report Recommended by R3ep
**SPOLERS ALERT** - Yamada-kun takes off on the premise of gender bender whereas SKET dance has 1 such episode - Shiraishi with Yamada's personality is reminiscent of Himeko at times - Student council as a major player in both series - Both are funny as hell - Club formed by 3 people initially

Being normal at school tends to be frowned upon, but both of these series look at groups of kids who are different and find ways to fit in eventually/sort of.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
If you happened to like the kind of humor in this particular OVA, then you very well may like SKET Dance, which also has a slightly "crack-fic" sense of humor, the good kind of "crack-fic". Yet, it also has a more serious side of it.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Have the similar type of craziness. Both fun to watch!
report Recommended by otakuintraining
Well Sket Dance is mainly a mystery. It's about a club that solves problems. If you liked the romance in Gosick, there are a few episodes in Sket Dance with lots of romance. Also, some of the characters are alike.
report Recommended by 8silverstream8
SKET Dance is similar to Ben-To in the use of bright colours throughout scenes and characters who are defined by their actions Clean positive fun, with a different outlook on the highschool scene, dealing with other peoples problems because your own are not enough!! Great show if a little slow/sit around the clubroom and talk for a whole ep... still on going overall 7.5/10
report Recommended by P3t3rP4n
3 people work together to solve peoples problems. Every episode is completely insane and you won't be sure what's happening half of the time. You will always be laughing though.
