Made by the same studio, Has the same mysterious feeling of wanting to know what is happening.
Made by the same studio, and it gives off the same kind of feeling.
Made by the same studio, and has a very similar feel. There is a lot left to the viewer to figure out. Both have stunning art, and are very different from most other anime that i've watched.
Same studio, similar art style. Both are about how daily life will be in a hypothetical, not-so-distant future. Also, Pale Cocoon was playing on the TV at one point in Eve no Jikan.
Made by the same studio, futuristic setting, and the storys both involve some mystery.

Both Mikako of Voices and the protagonists of Pale Cocoon are forcibly alienated from Earth. Both stories take place in a depopulated and dystopic future, and emphasize a kind of ethereal nostalgia for the "Home Planet." Both involve elements of ambiguous romance.
Both OVA takes place in the distant future that tells a tale of humanity and the truth of society.
Both series has a nice soundtrack that is appealing to the ears.
Both series has that melancholy feeling that seems to reflect emotions and sadness. Additionally, they also have science fiction themes that details humanity's future; a scientific touch in the anime world.
Both are calm and quiet scifi anime in which the character's careers bring them farther apart from each other.
Both deal with the relationship of 2 people in the context of humanity being in danger, in the future.

Post-apocalyptic sci-fi and deal with multilevel-ground. Main characters curious about how the real world is. And one day, when they finallyrealize the truth about the real world, something is happened.
Both stories are sci-fi that deal with characters living underground away from the outside world. The main characters have a curiosity for this outside world full of green grass, and blue skies, thus journey out to find out more about it. "Pale Cocoon" and "Sakasama no Patema" are both directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura, who has great interest in sci-fi with other works such as "Eve no Jikan"
Both have the same dark and very industrial art style. Both are sci-fi dealing with 2 worlds, but they are only sure of the existence of one of the worlds.

Both are about a futuristic post apocalyptic world. Main characters are unaware of the past and try to peace together clues on what happened. Ergo Proxy is more action based where as Pale Cocoon is more cyberpunk.
These animes are extremely well animated, they share the same awesome dark colours and their stories are both about the world being somehow polluted.
Both of these anime have a great cyberpunk and apocalyptic feel to them. Ergo Proxy is very similar to Pale Cocoon in the aspect that the technology is very advanced. They both also give you mountains of thoughts when you finish them. Example would be: Is this how the future turns out?

Made by the same studio, If u liked this u will probable like Mizu no Kotoba, has the same mysterious feeling of wanting to know what is happening.
A great anime short-film, combine suspense, with shock things behind the future re-created life, into an abomination of the electronic archives. looking at the expression, searching for the life behind the Systematic world

They both are based on two main characters in apocalyptic situations. Both anime series emphasize colors since special events are colored in bright colors while the rest have a muddy hue.

Two absolutely stunning sci-fi vignettes. Not to be missed by serious fans of science fiction.

The same atmosphere and some themes are familiar.

Same cold, silent and strange atmosphere. Even if Kikumana is shorter than Pale Cocoon, both express the same feeling of loneliness in a "futurist" world.

While I was watching Pale Cocoon, for some reason, I thought of this. I don't know why; it's a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy (nothing to do with Final Fantasy except being directed by its creator) about a scientist who is the host for one of the aliens that destroyed humankind. She believes that the way to banish the alien threat is to collecty seven "spirits"... well, I'm going to spoil it if I go on more, so... basically, I don't know why I think Pale Cocoon fans would like it, but I think you would. :)

Both Pale Cocoon and Evangelion are post-apocalyptic sci-fi anime. Throughout both (although Pale Cocoon is a mere one episode in comparison) the lead struggles with identity and purpose while becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the world around him. Both have unique endings as well that shed a somewhat positive light on what would otherwise be very negative.

Two short sci-fi OVAs with similar animation.

|
|
Very pretty slow stories with a sci-fi element

They have lots in common, including a messed up future-world. And they're both short OVAs.

If you like post-apocalyptic dystopian settings, this is for you. More action-oriented than Pale Cocoon, but with a deep plot as well, although you might not get it if you're not a Final Fantasy fan. Lush CG animation, too, and a legendary soundtrack (one of the best I've heard in any anime).

Both animes are in a post apocalyptic world, where the humans are surrounded by machines and technology. The goal of the main character is precisely the same in the two animes: to be able to see the sky one day.

Both by Yoshiura Yasuhiro.

Both are quiet, beautiful depictions of romance
