New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThrown together for personal reference; does not include shows that I cannot vet the content of due to having no experience watching, and the quality of shows listed is irrelevant. Some of these anime have low scores which may cause people to not watch them but they all are really good and can even become some of your favourite anime Explicitly Cannon Couples and Hard Subtext Shows. Subtext shows listed here have substantial content and not just a little bit of teasing here and there. Subtext can also be an unspoken focal point of the series. These are shows I can actually recommend and like enough to suggest checking out. Anime that has time travel elements on it. It can be the main theme of the show or just a few episodes as long as time travel happened but wouldn't include those where time travel could be a major spoiler... if you know, you know. I mean the title literally. Shows/movies than have anything relating to time as a plot point. maybe a power to see the future, maybe sending a message to the past or maybe even time travel. "When it's time for business, get the hell out of my way. If it means creating a path filled with blood and death, so be it." Humans are complex creatures, unpredictable animals despite how civilised they may be. Here's a list that presents how environments around us can influence a person to release its natural instincts that lay dormant inside. To This inhumanly derivative, formulaic, escapist, consumerist and incestuous genre is one of my guilty pleasures, and in my journey through it I have found some good stuff. Here are shows which either execute the classic isekai tropes well and simply have quality, or shows that may not be the best, but which at least have an interesting execution of the isekai concept that subverts expectations or at least isn't so derivative, generic or mediocre as others. This is a part of a series of stacks that are about artistic tendencies in anime (and that border the fine line between sophisticated and pretentious). A show with different kinds of toxic protagonists. However, although not in all cases, MCs often get better as the story progresses. once this passes 50 entries I'll be splitting it between "until 2009" (a new stack) and "since 2010" (this stack) Derived from AniFem's seasonal recommendations and top picks for 2022 |
