-It started with huke's illustrations of the characters as well as the supercell song inspired by them
-Each anime, manga and game seems to have a different take on the characters and setting, and as such are completely unrelated from each other
-The anime "Black★★Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall" is full of problematic parts and has middling 3DCG so watch at your own discretion
