Vampires, priests and lots of fights. Fairly similar storylines, Vampire that kills Vampires. Oh irony.

They main characters have same personality and a crazy goof ball. In the past they had there love one killed by thier enemy, and a tragic past.

Both relate to a quest to defeat blood-sucking beings (Vampires) in order to make of the world a better place for everyone.

Well Abel and Chrono has a horrible past that they are not proud of. The main character was once evil but turn to good, and they have a kick butt nun as a partner. They also join religious churches or organization. they also have an emeny from their past.

Both are darker, more serious action anime, focusing on the fight to preserve peace in this world and save the human race from evil. Where Trinity Blood has vampires, D.Gray-Man has demons.

Trinity Blood and 07-Ghost both have, vaguely put, a "post-war" theme as a foundation. In 07-Ghost, a group of "clergymen" protect people in a special zone known as district 7. Its atmosphere is somewhat relative to that of the Vatican in Trinity Blood, without the young Pope and sibling rivalry. Shinigami (Gods of Death) take the place of the Vampires and vice versa. Many style similarities such as unique wings, giant air ships, epic background stories, and leveled abilities are present in both. Many fun characters and "unlikely" holy men. These two somewhat gothic fantasies will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between.

Both anime have very similar plot elements involving a strong vampire as the main protagonist (Alucard/Father Abel) that kills other vampires and a female heroine (Seras/Esther) that happened to be entangled into this huge conflict. Other elements include royalty (monarch) , priests and nuns, secret organisations, etc.

Both anime's are about the fight for the establishment of peace between humans and vampires...with hopes that humans and vampires can coexist. But of course there would be hindrances to stop such an alliance. Both anime's also have their own share of humor that'll tickle your funny bone and of course a few drops of romance here and there to make the stories even spicier.

Another supernatural type show. I don't think Abel can be as good of a character as Sebastian, but still a really good show.

The good guys defeat the bad ones and there's your typical happy end. But in these stories it's not so typical. Dante from Devil May Cry is a demon hunter who on top of that is a son of the demon Sparda. Abel from Trinity Blood is an absend-minded priest who in reality is Crusnik - a vampire that hunts other vampires and feeds on them. Well, they're not your everyday fellows, don't you think? Despite these facts, both are the caring type and both have problems with money. Another critical for the story-line fact is that the world depends on them, otherwise it won't  read more

One is considered an All time Great while the other may be an anime that has received mixed reviews. They both have a very strong plot with large voids that create questions and character to the animation. Trinity Blood doesn't quite have as strong of character development or character magnetism, but still have great development mechanism, and leaves plenty to the imagination. Overall plot is different, one is an outlaw/bounty hunter model, where the other is "government agent" style approach. Both leave you wanting more.

Despite being completely different regarding plot, these two shows share the same "super-powered protagonist connected with religious organization fighting the ones of his/her own origin" kind of theme, dark tone and future setting. Both contain references to christianity and Inquisition (a lot more of those in TB) and, to some degree, revolve around the long, mutual history of "normal" humans and those of unnatural abilities/kind (people with special powers like pyrokinesis/telekinesis called "witches" in WHR / vampires in TB) as well as the long-term conflict between them, touching upon the problem of their coexistence.

Has Vampires, and humans. Each trying to work towards a better future. There is also betrayal, mystery, and secrets to be revealed.

If you liked this anime then you must watch Trinity Blood. They both have same theme : co-existence of humans and vampires

Both Kenshin and Abel have had troubled and bloody pasts. They also prefer to put on a facade of innocence and weakness even thought they are neither.
report Recommended by Shurtugal
Both have a dark story, especially Kurozuka...oh and they also have vampires. Kurozuka is more a tragic (could be) anime with lots and lots of action, TB is also similar in many ways.

Dark cult-oriented supernatural series set in different alternate era's with some heavy violence, drama, action & intense murder scene's. Both focus on solid plot development which are gradually explained throughout the series. Also having aired 3 years apart during mid-late 2000's, animation styles are quite similar.

Both have a male main character who is a vampire. He takes the side of the humans to defeat their common enemies.

Both are based around vampire themed stories, with a gothic twist to them and both share elements of action and moments of drama too. And also both have really nice to look at artstyles and character designs too.
report Recommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both bear a similar dark aesthetic/plot and revolve around religious themes.

The main character has a different side to him which is immensely powerful yet he has humility.

If you loved YnM, you'll enjoy Trinity Blood! Both series have similar art styles when it comes to sharp faced male characters and occasional pans of 3D-ish background scenery similar to that of the YnM bureau scene during the opening song. The main character for Trinity, Abel Nightroad also shares the similar happy-go-lucky-but-serious-when-need-be personality as Asato Tsuzuki and both series deal with the supernatural.

I cannot believe this hasn't been recommended before. - Both series seem to follow a kind of case-of-the-week pattern with a overall plot progression. - Gothic atmosphere. - Character designs are similar, especially with Huey and Abel. - Abel is to Trinity Blood what both Huey and Dalian are in Dantalian no Shoka. Detective role+supernatural power. But I believe Trinity Blood is inferior to Dantalian no Shoka when it comes to art, animation, music and characters too, I'd say. The higher production value of Dantalian is expected, it being produced 6 years after Trinity Blood. But that doesn't stop TB from giving a very similar vibe and delivering nice storylines. Trinity Blood is a series set in a post-apocalyptic world. The war between humans (Terrans) and vampires (Methuselah) continues as a struggle between two factions: the Vatican and the New Human Empire. Yet, amidst the bloodshed and violence, many desire a peaceful co-existence between the two species. However, standing between them and this goal is the Rosenkreuz Orden, a group of extremists who manipulate the two sides and for their own gain.

The main characters are anti-heroes. They both protect what they love.
report Recommended by Ennis1001
idk... they both have a religious thing going on and about a a girl being a important thing. And they have their funny moments and serious moments, so you should try both.
report Recommended by ChibiChica
They both deal with violent politics and empires and nobles and such in violent and super natural wars.
report Recommended by RedBardIsCool
Both deal with people working for the leader of a country and dealing with rebellions and wars of sorts ( in Chevalier it's more like revolution, really ) with fantasy elements and the living dead. They also both contain lots of direct reference to Catholicism.
report Recommended by RedBardIsCool
They both feel really similar, when ur watching it you can connect the two of them. Both have some awesome battles, and great plots
report Recommended by soul4soul
Both have similar main characters, and a theme of good versus evil. Trinity Blood uses vampires, and Slap Up Party uses demons and other miscellaneous creatures of destruction. Slap Up Party would be a lighter, more comedic series than Trinity Blood.

Both Scrapped Princess and Trinity Blood deal with a *********SPOILERS************** world with a dominant religious body as a major political power. While Scrapped Princess starts out as a straight fantasy series, however, Trinity Blood is more of a steam-punk society. SPOILER PART: Both Scrapped Princess and Trinity Blood deal with post-apocalyptic tech-powered 'magic' world with a dominant religious body as a major political power.
report Recommended by jt1
Both have action, powerful characters, and comedy in it. In Trinity blood the vaticans are trying to protect the people from the vampires, whereas in Bleach it is the job of the shinigami to protect the people from the hollows. Also, both Kurosaki Ichigo and Peter Abel Nightroad are very similar in seriousness, power, protecting the people that are important to them and are funny when not fighting.

Even tho FMA (fullmetal alchemist) and trinity blood have absolutely nothing to to with each other...they both have that fantasy vibe. i think all fantasy lovers would at least love both of these..due to the fact that they are complete opposites..anyhow they are tied in my top favorite anime...please enjoy :D
report Recommended by mioni4
They both have a type of sub-human none to myth with diffrent power for each sub-human. tones of fighting, blood, political to a fault and unemotional killers.
report Recommended by gizmo99
Both have very dark themes, and an overall quest for redemption.
report Recommended by Oxiclean
Another vampires vs humans storyline including another royal figure who rules over humans and vampires living in harmony with certain vampires trying to remove such 'harmony'.
report Recommended by ruziko
The animation on Blassreiter leaves a little to be desired, but the stories are similar. The lone hero fights against the injustice of their own kind to save humans. In both cases the hero's story is where it all began.
