Aikatsu!

Both anime have the seem feeling. They are both about becoming idols. Also they the same "special effect" when you perform well on the stage.  

Both are about idols Both have a school for idols (starlight and pretty top) Both have popular idols they look up to (callings and kanzaki mizuki) Both know absolutely nothing about idols and the entertainment world before they started their idol career Both have a certain type of item used for clothes (prism stone and aikatsu cards) Both have 3 members in the team and the last member who is more experienced in the entertainment field and is often difficult to talk to at first but opens up over time (mion and ran) almost everything is the same so if u like one of it, u will surely like the other as well read more 

Girl achieving her dream in the given industry with the help of friends and one CGI animated song performance per episode. Pretty Rhythm and Aikatsu are basically the same anime, just one about idols and the other about ice skating.

Two newbie idols and a popular idol become best friends at an idol school, and form an idol unit. Similar characters, music, and CG. If you love one, you'll love the other!

Both resolve around young idols trying to sucess in the singing and acting carreer. The characters are also really cool and wich one has a very distinct and marcable personality. The songs and performances are really cool and both are SUPER CUTE.  

Pripara and Aikatsu are similar in both concept and execution. Pripara's a bit more over the top, and focused more on a tighter cast of character and has more conflict, but they're both absolutely adorable idol shows that have optimistic themes, good music, and cute main characters. If you like one, you'll probably like the other. 

A lot of things are similar to Aikatsu and Pri Para. For example, they are aimed towards girls. They are also about becoming idols, and have special idol cards. The characters are also very likable in their own way. If you liked Aikatsu, you may just fall in love with Pri Para! 

I feel like Aikatsu! and PriPara are about as similar as 2 shows can be without being directly related. They're both idol shows for kids, and neither are grounded in reality. Aikatsu has its special stage, Special Appeals, turning clothes into cards, and etc.; PriPara's idol world is practically a completely seperate dimension. Aikatsu's Special Appeals are also very similar with PriPara's Making Dramas. Other similarities: - Long-running - Immensely popular in Japan, but hardly known outside of it - Ichigo and Lala, the protagonists of each show, share similar bubbly, optimistic personalities - Both protagonists started out as newbie idols but very well from the get-go - The close friend characters to the protag, Aoi and Mireille, are quite similar - The songs are catchy, memorable, and have flavor; occasionally breaking away from the traditional idol mold, separating them from shows like Love Live! or Idolm@ster - Large cast of characters that all end up being important in some way, never a one-time appearence Both series are fun and very enjoyable to watch. Overall, though, I do feel like PriPara is objectively better-- it's less formulaic, better written, and it progressively gets better and better. Plus, the humor in PriPara is absolute comedy gold. Both shows are very similar in their own ways, Both are Idol Animes to watch during highschool ^^ Ichigo and Laala are quite similar as their idol journey goes on.  

Aikatsu is aimed at a younger audience and is less "slice of life" than Love Live (with a small scifi element) - but if you like idols, optimism, and lots of cute likable characters, you'll probably like Aikatsu as well. 

Similarities: - Series based around schoolgirls becoming idols - Overall optimistic tone - Good mix of fun and stylish music - Strong friendships between main characters Uniquenesses: - As far as idol shows go, Love Live is more grounded in reality than Aikatsu - Aikatsu is aimed at young girls, while Love Live is aimed at older anime fans 

Although aimed at a younger audience, Aikatsu is another idol anime that portrays a group of girls hoping to achieve their dreams. While Love Live! has more realistic elements, Aikatsu is fun to watch if you have an open mind or a little childishness in your heart. 

-The main characters are both girls who decide to be idols -There are sad moments and emotional moments, but most of it is cute & fun -They both have many songs -They both are very addictive! 

Both are about idols who go to school and work hard to become the best idol they can be. The main characters of both are energetic and cheerful. 

Both are about middle school girls that join an idol school. 

Both are about girls wanting and becoming idols to make people smile. both are quite colourful, and really enjoyable, they both have j-pop type music. 

If you're wanting a cast of cute, adorable girls who love singing, making fans, and having some friendly competition, then either of these shows will appeal! Their protagonists are also similar, being quite naive, fun-loving and awkward, while the supporting casts are different but equally unique and over-the-top. AKB0048 is much darker, with a post-apocalyptic space world and scifi action, while Aikatsu is softer, set in a slightly-more-modern version of Japan where everything is cute and sparkly.  

Cute and surprisingly engaging shoujo series about idols. 

Just take both anime and change the gender of the characters. They are both music related, and have to do particularly with characters pursuing their dreams. Additionally, they go to school to become future idols. Essentially, if you like Aikatsu!, you just might come across liking Uta no Prince-sama. 

Well, first, They both have this magical girl plot BUT! Aikatsu are about Idol Activities! I think its a very exciting anime. They have a lot of good and kawaii music. And don't get me started on their dresses! They are absolutely adorable. Just try on episode and you might get hooked to it! And the art is so adorable! It happened when i got rejected by this guy i liked for a really long time i just started to watch anime to distract me the other anime's didn't do well though, But when i watched Aikatsu, i totally forgot about it bc i was too distracted about how amazing this anime is! Sometimes i watch it so much that i forget what time it is! I go to sleep maybe about 4AM 'cause it's so fun! Trust me, you'll love it! -Puri~ read more
